I just added the same mud motor kit to my 12x36 topper with a GX200 engine and did the stage 1 upgrade. These things are a blast! Great job on your videos and tips!!!
Thanks man for the great vids. Im getting one for sure. Stay creative and get that winch id love to see u running at night with lightbar and winching over jams
Had a few problems with mine had to cut the bushing down for it to fit my harbor freight motor. There really hard to steer tightly at speed. They shake the crap out of my boat at idle. Have to put the prop in the water slowly or else it kills the motor
Hey Danny, I have been looking at the long tail kit and the Twister to use on two boats...a 1648 for lake hunts and a 1442 for marsh hunting. Which do you like better?
+Danny Giles Thanks man. I guess being older and having back surgeries that the Twister maybe be the best option, I just don't know if it would be powerful enough. Speed is not a major concern just the ability to get in an out of mainly marsh channels and weedy lakes is what is important. I am not going to be pushing the limits at all. I have had other long-tails in the past so I have experience with them but man do those Twisters look interesting. Thanks for sharing your videos.
Wildpond. I just got the Twister Short Long Tail motor. It isn't fast but works well going through shallow water and over obstacles. I have a few videos showing my motor.
+Steve Hargis I don't like the paint on it and the seats are a little wide for my liking but they are foam filled so the boat won't sink, it is very light and easy-ish to drag around. I did end up putting a hole in it but nothing JB weld can't fix
I have my SPS Mud Motor w a GX200 (not a clone) on my Old Town Discovery Sport 15 and I get from 10 - 15mph w the 6.5" prop. W the smaller 6.25" prop I get about 10 and bounce off the governor... I imagine other's with jon boats will fair better w the speed
+shane ritchie it may be a bit before I get a video out just with work schedules, basically most Jon boats will be the same. This is the 1236W so it's a little bit wider and more stable. The 12 foot is a bit on the small side for lakes but for tiny creeks it's just right
I watched this years ago! It’s still a very good video. Thanks

hey Danny, you got some pretty cool videos can't wait to see what you got in store for the future man! keep up the good work!
Great kit! In the summer, I drove this with a similar forced lifan gs212e engine (6000 rpm max).
awesome
Great video Dude thanks. 🐸

Yeah, I know some guys who carry several size props. nice vid.
Who needs a motor when you can get out and pull your boat everywhere lol jk nice vid

Awsome
I'm always surprised at how much choke these Predator motors need even after they've been running a while.
Dude that motor is sick!!! What do you have going on there?
What speeds are you getting out of this setup?
How much did that tracker 12 run ya new?
Ever pop the motor off to portage?
whats the most weight you ever had in it?
How does it get around with 2 people?

It comes down to what you would like your comfort level to be, speed and obstacles you have

how is the tracker 1236 holding up I'm just curious of the quality before I buy one I've heard good and bad more bad so what do you think

Just need a grab bar for solo rides and a come along.
+Brandon Blackwell exactly what I was thinking
What"s the weight of your boat? What material made of?
Have you ever run that in a river or creek with rocks? How does the prop hold up. Great video
I live on the Susquehanna river, real rocky and low in the summer. The swamp runner is awesome here.
Martin Olsen I am from the other side of the state and want to run the youghiogheny river. Thanks for the info.
We have a common interest watch my videos on got hooked adventures I love my mud boat
what horse power motor is that
Thanks for keeping the music at a minimum. Watching for learning, not watching for the tunes👍
what size prop do you run for speed?

Looks like the dismal swamp of south mills, a good, small, flat bedded boat can drive through those waters.
Volume dude! For the hearing impaired.
how much is the boat
muy extremo
Is that Tracker topper A good jon boat
+shane ritchie I'll make a video of the pros and cons on it soon
I will look for it

Am i the only one that ducked when he went under the bridge??
