I think you look like a beautiful Barbie with the makeup you normally wear. I'm loving this excitement over Barbie! I had the original Barbie in black and white striped swimsuit, blonde ponytail and black stilettos! 1959! Wish I still had her.
Wow, how awesome!! The original one!! I have the 2009 version (wearing a striped bikini), but of course that doesn’t compare with the original one!! She’s gorgeous, though. 🥰
Thank you!! I keep looking for a “Barbie Makeup Tutorial” and it’s all hot pink eyeshadows and ridiculous lip colors. THIS is what I’ve been looking for!! Such a pretty look 💕
Wonderful video! I LOVED the research you put in to find the actual products and details from the set! I adored Barbie as a child and the movie was very nostalgic for me as well as all these recreations.❤
I enjoy all of your videos and have learned so much. I’m 58 and working hard to take care of my skin. I’ve watched many videos and always come back to yours. Thank you for being yourself. It is greatly appreciated.
You look like a beautiful Barbie Risa, always have. Just as gorgeous as Margot. Your hair also looks soft, floaty and lovely in this video. Cool video. Bet your hubby loved it Xxx
Apropos the lash extensions - I started getting them a few months ago and I really loved them. I decided to take the summer off and had them removed and my lashes were short when the extensions came off about a month ago. I used grande lash (that’s the one I like best but there are a lot of lash growth products) and my lashes are back to normal - but I’m going to get the extensions again in the fall. I just love the way they look - they make my eyes look bigger, greener, and younger. But I also take very good care of them. If I’d tried lash extensions years ago when I had young kids and work and everything else, I’m sure I would have given up on the maintenance the first week.
You are very kind, thank you. 🥰 I actually struggled making the thumbnail photo for this video because I hated seeing myself next to Margot. I felt so inferior!
I have allergic reactions to every lash glue I’ve ever tried 😢 I started using KISS Impress and really loved them. Then I found the Falscara and I LOVE them too! They are similar to the extensions you mention here but much less expensive. And you can use the Bond/Sealant on any lightweight lash clusters (or cut strip lashes). They are amazing!! Highly recommend especially for people with sensitive eyes.
This is a beautiful look. It's so soft and fresh looking. I love that this movie has become so popular. I got my first Barbie, Ken, and Midge dolls in the early 1960's complete with many outfits and accessories. We played with them for hours. Thanks for all of the work that you did to make this video.
This is kind of a funny question but I was wondering if you could do a video about how you choose makeup colors to coordinate with clothing. I honestly seem to struggle with this. Maybe what I'm really asking for is a color theory class.😅 I'll have to check to see if you've already done one. It feels like you are always so intentional with the clothing you choose and the makeup colors you go for, and I really think I could be better at this. Lovely look on you, as always. 😊
Fun! I am 65 and still have my original Barbie doll (and bendable Skipper). They have been tucked away in a closet forever. I haven’t seen the movie yet and impressed to learn no false eyelashes were used. Interesting! I love how Patty Dubroff enhances Margot Robbie’s beauty in all the premier shots I’ve seen. Soft, subtle, and like you said, effortless. I have heard of another “dupe” for lashes called Falscara by the brand Kiss. I have never worn a false lash as I have long lashes, but they aren’t as full as they once were and kind of intrigued by the under lash application, especially since I have hooded lids. Could you create these in your BK line or is there a patent still in play? If you did, I would definitely try them.
I also had the original Barbie. But, I felt she needed a haircut ( what was 8 year old me thinking??). I also had Midge, Barbies best friend! She survived without a haircut and I still have her! Bobbie Thomas from the Today show has long been an advocate of applying false lashes underneath. I have not seen very good reviews of the Falscara lashes. My lashes are so fragile that I’d kinda be afraid to do that.
Hello Risa 😊Very pretty look 👍Margot Robbie is a very good actress. I first watched her on a TV Drama called Pan Am, 2011. It was set in the 60s. She is the same age as my daughter too.
I loved this video Risa! You did so much research for us- thank you! I can get you the Rose Glaceir blush… it’s in Canada ! Oh my goodness, we have the beige natural lip pencil too! ❤
I had lash extensions for a year and can confirm that they ruined my natural lashes. They grew back after a few weeks. Thanks for the researched video!
I love this look. I've also been looking for Barbie make up tutorials, and they were all too much for me. I agree they look more as dolls, as some dolls have strong eye make up and also lips. But I prefer a lighter make up and lighter looks, similar to Margo's make up in movie and some premieres. Actually the other best tutorial I found was one of Andrea Aki, however she did not call it Barbie tutorial but she did use light pinkish colors on eyes, cheeks and lips. (She called it My everyday summer make up routine.)
Thank you for this makeup look! What fun! I went to New York City week before last and Barbie was everywhere. I loved all the pink! Hopefully, I will get to see the Barbie movie this weekend.
I love your look of Barbie you know I'm so glad they made it more of a natural look instead of really weird how usually Barbie usually turns out to be you know Barbie was was real you know back then make up back in the 90s 2000 sometimes back-in-the-day was so overdone so I love to see that it wasn't that Barbie wasn't really overdone even though I haven't seen the movie I kind of thought it was a little sort of Isle of Margot Robbie but I just think it was the movie seen the little bit corny to me and it was an interesting but I do think that it was a movie that was going to collab with a lot of things and I knew it was going to be Hot topic in the beauty world

I love this movie I used to play with Barbies when I was a kid and I’m all down and I do love make up to this movie brought just a little happiness in the world and it was very light hearted. We just need something like that and everybody loves pink.

Thank you! I think my aunt had that one too, and regretfully gave it away as well!
Also no offense to Margot but on the thumbnail, she looks way older than Rosa.
Wow, how awesome!! The original one!! I have the 2009 version (wearing a striped bikini), but of course that doesn’t compare with the original one!! She’s gorgeous, though. 🥰

That makeup is fabulous. I love that pink shirt 😊😊
So beautiful and natural! I had 30 barbiedolls and one Ken! When i grew up😂 I had a passion for these sweet dolls-lol!
YOU ARE THE REAL DEAL!
I believe Lisa Eldridge's foundation was used on the entire cast for the movie!
I really want to try it!
@@RisaDoesMakeup I love it!
I believe it’s not just foundation but makeup including lispsticks.
@@oooohmysoooosexy yep! Lisa said several of her products were used for the movie.
I wanted to love Lisa's foundation, but sadly it was too drying on my skin. Yes, Lisa had a video saying they had chosen her products for the movie.
Hi Barbie! Hi Barbie! Hi Barbie! YOU are Barbie. Such an enjoyable video. Thanks!!!
Wow, thank you! 🥰😊
You look stunning Risa. You proof we do Not have to be very young to look gorgeous.

Pretty look, Barbie, I mean, Risa! 😊
I like the white background🤍🤍! You look so fresh 💕
Excellent video! I liked all the info you gave and the different perspective to the Barbie look (more natural and more wearable). Thank you!

Very beautiful
Thanks Risa for all the work you’ve put into this video love the look ❤

The body makeup was probably Westmoreland. This company is famous for makeup in television and movies. Its a great brand.

Westmore Beauty makes a great body makeup and buffing brush for perfecting body skin with minimal, if any, transfer after drying.
Risa! Margot Robbie has absolutely nothing on YOU!! You could have been Barbie! Seriously, girl. Absolutely stunning as usual!
Thank u❗️I was thinking the same thing. Respectfully… she is ok. As my dad just said, Beauty is in eyes of the beholder. Risa can def be Barbie 💖💖💖
