Mr. Clyde works just like you and your mules, slow and steady. If most people would do that there'd be less extra work, less repairs, and less injury's. Sarah Beth is an excellent apprentice. God bless
Nice going Zach, Mr Clyde's a real steady loader operator that's for sure, but he still keeps production where it should be, actually good to see a loader operator that's not going like a ratbag but still getting something done.
Yes sir for sure! I know what you mean… He is smooth and quick. Thank you for the kind words and also thank you for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again please. God bless.
Thank you so much, my friend! I hope you had a great new year as well! We are blessed to be able to make these memories together. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please. God bless

Shout out to Sarah Beth! Hope I spelled it right!!🫣🫣!! Great camera work ! Hanging out with pops!! Great video! Be safe! What would happen if you take a log there and looks good but when they go to saw into the log it’s rotten? Does the mill take the hit or does the seller of the log get dinged?
Thank you very much! We had a great time together. So, on the logs that have bad places in them… The meal would take the hit. But typically, when you haul logs in that have bad places in them, they will dock the price for they said defect. If that makes any sense? Anyway, thank you for being here and also taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please. God bless.
Nice load of logs. I get quiet lot of popular tree service wood. I would like to see some of it sawed. Probably make some nice live edge slabs. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much! And yes, Poplar makes really pretty lumber in my humble opinion. Thank you for the kind words and also thank you for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please. God bless.
Hello Mr. Gerald! It is good to hear from you, my friend. You all be safe and stay warm up there in Kentucky. Let me know if you need anything. Thank you for being here and also taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please. God bless.

Sarah Beth. That’s a great name. Hanging out with Dad. Get to see first hand what Daddy does and why he come home so tired. It’s a beautiful thing. I’m doing as well with my twins. Victor the 4th and sister Giada Rosa! lol 👍🏼🇺🇸🇮🇹
Yes sir for sure! We had a great time. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for taking time to watch and comment. And yes, the 299 is a great machine and will handle about any size log I have cut. It is very strong. I wish you and your babies. Good luck with everything that you do. Thank you again for being here! Take care and do come again, please.
Dear Zach i hope everything is ok there i was checking my phone for any notification of your latest video. I hope everyone there is ok and the animals too God bless you all take care my friend
Thanks, buddy, I appreciate it! I'm doing well and everyone else is too! We’re getting some snow here now, but all is well. I’ve been fixing stuff this week. And just haven’t had time to do a video. Thank you for checking in my friend. It’s good to hear from you and I hope you are doing well also! Take care my friend and as always, do come again! God bless
Thank you, sir! And bless you as well. No sir, on this poplar wood it is hard to stack up enough to get overweight. On this particular truck. With these longer logs, it is possible to do so depending on how many long logs you have on the load at a time. But the poplar is a whole lot lighter than oak. If that makes any sense? Anyway, thank you for being here and also taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please. God bless.
Wow, if you and red hauled 10 loads, the gas station owner can retire now.... 😂 You remind me of myself and my daughter when she was young. She turned 31 this month but I have a grad daughter now. Enjoy them while you can. That looked like a great bunch timber.
Thank you, my friend and yes, it was some pretty good timber. Sarabeth and I both had a great time. Although it was a lot of work. I am very blessed to live the life that I live. I am thankful! Thank you for being here and also taking time to watch and comment as always. Take care and do come again, please. God bless
Yeah there are alot of things to consider when upgrading in equipment, like you said gross weights ,extra board footage, extra expense like tags, insurance, maintenance and so on ,I got faith in yeah you'll do good.
Yessir my friend, you’re exactly right. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment Mr Jimmy. I appreciate it. Take care and do come again, please. God bless
Dang, Zach, that was a neat trick throwing that big log on the top of the load like that. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it done! Where did you have Sarah Beth while you were doing that?
Thank you ma’am! And yes, these skid steer isn’t tall enough to load that high without flicking it. She was over behind the camera. I won’t let her get close when we’re loading and unloading. Thank you for taking time to watch and comment, as always! Take care and do come again, please. God bless
Another great video. At the log yard, what and why is that big pile of logs in the background getting spraed with the water cannon? It looked like a colored liquid but that might have been the sunset making it look like that. Being colorblind was hard for me to tell. Take care and thanks for the content. Bill
Thank you! So, the water sprinklers at the Sawmill are keeping the logs wet to preserve them. They are pumping water out of a pond up into the sprinklers. The water is a little muddy, which is the reason for the darker color. Hope this makes sense! Thank you for taking time to watch and also comment. Take care and do come again, please. God bless.
Thank you! It’s going, lol. Thank you for being here as always and thank you for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please. God bless.
If you buy another truck , could you use red as a pup somehow to continue to haul logs , only an idea or suggestion , great video, working hard , staying safe , memories !
I will probably more than likely keep red as a back up. And also use him in the woods, some forwarding logs out. Sort of like we did a couple of videos ago. And then use the larger truck to haul to the mail. If that makes sense. Thank you for the kind words and also thank you for taking time to always watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please. God bless.
I know you have been considering a bigger truck. Years ago I worked for a farm supply and operated a spreader truck for lime and fertilizer we had a truck just like red only it was a GMC. They got a International with a DT 466 diesel and with the heavier engine and heavy frame it was so heavy and stiff frame it got stuck about every time it got off the highway.
Yeah, I know what you mean. Although international never did make a good off-road truck. I have been looking into getting maybe a tandem axle Mack with full lockers. They will get around pretty good for a full-size truck.
The maddest I ever seen Billy w. The paper mill loader operator picked a whole up that didn't turn loose till he had the truck bout 3 ft off the ground, when it turned loose the truck just dropped Billy would have hurt that guy if he could have caught him
Dang you are really close to Mount Eagle! I'm not far from you. I'm about halfway between Chattanooga and Bham. Isn't Winchester close to the Jack Daniel's distillery?
It’s a Chevy 427 tall deck, truck engine. Big block gas engine. Thanks for the question, and thanks for watching! I surely appreciate it. Take care and do come again, please. God bless
@zachodommulelogging I cut timber in southwest ohio, love your channel, I've been trying to find me a nice single axle like yours and one of those self loaders would be awsome
Nah, we haven’t gotten any snow just yet. Maybe today though. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. Hope I answered all your questions. Take care and do come again, please. God bless
They were all between 31800 and 35000. Red is 12500 empty. So, 10-11 tons. I do my best to keep it between 32 and 35k gross. These polar logs are a good bit lighter than oak and whatnot. So we can get a little more on a load. Anyway, Thanks for taking time to watch and comment my friend. Take care and do come again, please. God bless
Zach, do you have to have CDLs to drive Red since he has air brakes? Maybe he doesn't have air brakes, but I thought I heard air pop off when you were sitting at stop sign telling us about the hill. He does have air brakes, I saw it pop off again when Mr. Clyde was unloading you.
You have to have CDL’s to drive any vehicle over 26000 pounds in a commercial “for hire” operation…doesn’t matter about air or not. If you are hauling your own logs then you can operate under a farm tag and no CDL’s are required; because logs are considered an agricultural commodity. If you are operating as a commercial operator, you can still use a farm tag because logs are agricultural commodities, but you’re limited to a 150 air mile radius from your home base. So it just depends on your operation as to what and how you need to be licensed and tagged.
Yessir my friend. Think so. I’m thinking I may go with a tandem axle Mack and single bunk pup trailer behind it. Then I can haul semi loads (4k board feet) a pass. That would be nice. The boom truck would be nice as well. But here in Tennessee we’re limited to 80k gross. So, if I were to go with a tandem and pup..I could get the full 80k; whereas with the boom truck..it would have to be triaxle and triaxles are limited at 74k gross. The weight of the loader would be 7-8k pounds also, which takes away from the total useful load. But idk..I’m open to ideas. I have the skid steer to load with. And the mill always unloads me. Though sometimes the boom would be nice to unload. Especially on weekends. So, maybe! We will see. Keep me in your thoughts that I’ll make the right decision. Thank you again!
This particular part that we are on right now is 9 acres and I believe there is six more across the road. It has been a good job to work! Thank you for being here and also taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please. God bless

God bless.
Zach looks like you got it going on😂
Thank you! It’s going, lol. Thank you for being here as always and thank you for taking time to watch and comment. Take care and do come again, please. God bless.
Sara Beth is a cutie pie!!!
Thank you very much! I will tell her. Thank you for taking time to watch and comment as well.
The paper mill loader operator picked a whole up that didn't turn loose till he had the truck bout 3 ft off the ground, when it turned loose the truck just dropped Billy would have hurt that guy if he could have caught him
🤣🤣🤣 yep! I don’t blame him lol. Thanks for tagging along with us my friend and thanks for commenting. Take care and do come again, please. God bless
Dang you are really close to Mount Eagle! I'm not far from you. I'm about halfway between Chattanooga and Bham. Isn't Winchester close to the Jack Daniel's distillery?
Winchester isn’t too far from Lynchburg..which is where Jack Daniels is, yes. It’s about 30 miles or so.
Hey Zach, what motor does your log truck have in it
It’s a Chevy 427 tall deck, truck engine.
@@ryanpoole4795cool buddy! Glad to have you and thanks for watching. These old trucks are good trucks. 😊
Was that sbow on the ground at 20:37?
Nah, we haven’t gotten any snow just yet. Maybe today though. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it. Hope I answered all your questions. Take care and do come again, please. God bless
@zachodommulelogging sorry I ask so many, truly appreciate you answering!
@@Autigers2013not a problem. That’s what my channel is about my friend. 😊
How many tons did turn out to be?..thanks
They were all between 31800 and 35000. Red is 12500 empty. So, 10-11 tons. I do my best to keep it between 32 and 35k gross. These polar logs are a good bit lighter than oak and whatnot. So we can get a little more on a load. Anyway, Thanks for taking time to watch and comment my friend. Take care and do come again, please. God bless
Thank you.. Just subscribed ... Meant to ask if that's a 366 gas or 427?
@@bennsellingit3100cool, thank you! Red has the 427 tall deck..😊
Yeah get you a good old Mack with a knuckleboom on it and you'd be good to go.
Zack how many acres is in this job that you are on now

Maybe so… But you are still watching my videos and commenting.
