wow you mean Ronnie's accent is Canadian English. I don't know that but I think that assent is so beautiful and easy to listen to, especially for learning English beginner like me. Love it!
Love the honesty Ronnie. This should also apply to people posting comments on RUclips or elsewhere online. It's great you made this video because in some cultures it's much more acceptable to comment critically on someone's weight and looks. Thanks for shedding some light on what's offensive in English-speaking countries. Keep it up!
Hi! I'm from Russia, I"M a student and i learn english for 2 years, my teacher adviced me your channel. I just wanna say that, Ronnie, you are so suuny person, I can feel you great energy. Thank you so much for doing cool and very interesting videos like this. Thank you. P.S. sorry for mistakes, that i could make. :)))))
My goodness, Ronie. You're fantastic. You just crack me up. I love watching your videos. I learn a lot and laugh my head off at the same time. Awesome!
Very well done Ronnie, with intelligence and panache. Here are afew more to add to your list!!Age and income (money).Never ask someone how old they are! It's consider very rude in higher levels of English society. Also, never ask or say things like, "how much do you earn then each month?!"Or, "do you make enough money doing that job/business?!".For the above questions really put my back up and turn me off to wanting any friendship with the person in question. 'Manners makeath a man', as the old English saying goes.
A lot of people are self-conscious about their flaws, then someone has to "say something" about the flaw.. The person is now embarrassed, and want to vaporize into thin air. Great lecture!
You might add other "personal" questions that are common in some other cultures as "no nos," such as: How old are you? What's your salary (or) how much money do you make? Likewise anything to do with politics or religion are generally not to be discussed or questioned in polite conversation, especially in the case of someone you just met, or someone who is only a casual acquaintance. Ronnie brings up a good point about waiting for the other person to bring up personally sensitive matters like that on their own, if and when they feel like sharing. Opening topics of conversation with strangers and casual acquaintances can reference anything from the weather to shared experiences of what you both might happen to be doing at the moment: standing in line, riding a bus or train, service in a restaurant or coffee shop, or anything that references a shared interest or experience at the time when you meet. Oh--compliments, if sincere, are also generally welcomed--as long as you avoid the subjects mentioned!
Well I think those are kind of obvious examples of what not to say to people, specially people that you have just met. You're great Ronnie, greetings from Venezuela.
Personally think Asians' social environment is different from American or European culture ! That is why they use these words unconsciously. If I hadn't watched I would use this type of question 😂 Thanks for video
I can not resist to share this experience with the people i was at the subway train, i was sitting, but i saw what i thought it was a pregnant woman and i gave her my seat, and then i said to her its unbelievable how nobody gave their seat to a pregnant woman like you, and she got angry and said what im not pregnant you fool. I really thought she was pregnant i think i screw up badly my fault lol.
to be honest with you ronny i laughed the whole video u were very serious in this video but at the same time it was very funny, thanks you're great. God bless ya
This is not only to learn english channel .. you give us So much tips to how to became good person thank you for your recommened .. lots of love from turkey
Thank you, Ronnie, for this most useful talk. My class LOVES your videos. I had to smile because I'm sure anyone who works with people has, at some point, been accosted with the What's wrong with your_____? question. I think people who get a cold sore, for example, already feel self-conscious enough and only can be hurt when asked about it. I will be showing this one to every new class. Keep up the great job and, by the way, you look great!
I like you, your personality and all you do. I learn much with you and, now, you're my favorite teacher. My english is not very good, but a really love your videos.

+Paulo Amorim did womans really realize they have weight ? i dont belive this :D dont missunderstand me, i hate people whos stuck in fashion and superficial, but some really big girls go out like skinny 18 jears, but there really above 40 jears and 200 pounds (germany) (im learning english)
Good rule of thumb: If you haven't anything nice to say, don't say it at all.
How could u be that humorous!!!! I would never get tired of ur class
I think this is basic language independent politeness. This is a must in every western society and language.
I live in Alaska and speak American English. I watch these videos to learn Canadian English. Love it!

If you're sensitive to any of these. Make sure yi don't go to Asia. They don't mean to offend or be mean. They're just VERY genuine and blunt.
Personally think Asians' social environment is different from American or European culture ! That is why they use these words unconsciously.
