I can only speak to the Specular Reverb v3, but the algorithms that GFI has developed are fabulous. No one, NO ONE does a subtle and graceful shimmer like GFI and the base reverb goes beyond standard 3 dimensional spatial expanse.
Awesome! I was listening while doing something else when that final bit started and I was like, OMG! and then I turned to the video and my glasses were off but it looked like you had the same grin that was on my face! Sounds like that are just epic, so much fun. Thanks for the review.
It's a great pedal indeed ... It's now a few months that I've got one and there's plenty of fun to play with it....especially with a Friedman BE-OD in front :-)
This pedal needs a dual mono mode: delay to output a, reverb to output b. Delay for the main signal, shimmer reverb through a separate amp. That way, you could use a splitter in front of the Specular Tempus, to add an overdrive to the delay and a volume pedal to the shimmer (both have to be in front of the delay or reverb...)
Ethereal is certainly the word Brett, you can imagine yourself in a celestial cavern being serenaded by angelic beings of poetic disposition with this one!
Wasn't sure when I saw the faned frets 8 strings Strat, but the last seconds confirmed you're my favorite kind of pyschopath :-)This pedal is monumental for sure.
I use this pedal for guitars and synths. It never disappointed me. You can tweak a bit more via their speclab app. I recommend a footswitch for tapping the tempo for delays and for stepping through the presets.
Really nice. I’m not near my ST now, but I wonder if the Awakening presets starting around 1:50 are yours...they sound uniquely nifty...but maybe it’s your playing and the fact I’ve been away from it for awhile. Anyway, I’d appreciate your thoughts on that. Thanks.
Some of this is soooo fucking beautiful! Might be the single malt, might be the vodka, might the the illegal... The last few extended seconds.... Crazy babe..... crazy! ;)
If I have a Nemesis Delay, Keeley HALO, JHS Panther V1, Boss Tera Echo, GFI Specular Reverb V3 is there a good reason to sell the Reverb V3 and Nemesis and replace it with this? I like wacky space delays and stereo Reverb
I too am a Fractal owner/operator. Is this pedal sitting in front of the Input jack, or in an FX Loop block (which I realize is handled differently with the FX3)?
I cant seem to find a decent slap back delay demo for this-anyone know of one? I’m about to sell off my verb&delay and go for it -I just want to see it cover the basics
no, the reverb/delays algorithms are not independently controlled. GFI Systems has said they are planning on making a version of the pedal that has two processors though that will be able to do that.
DreamRubycon they're all going to be similar, the algorithms are the same, although the Tempus has a few more reverb and delay algos as well. Having the Specular Reverb and Clockwork Delay instead would allow the stacking of different algos other than Digital/Analog/Echo Delays + Spatium Reverb and vice versa.
HEY BRETT! i love this thing great demo! BUT every time i look at the neck on that guitar i think i am seeing double or something [ i know it is a 8 string ] is it just me?
Yes, Timothy. It's an 8-string, fan fretted multi-scale beast of a thing that I just love. See ruclips.net/video/r0kFYBJe9QE/видео.html for more info on that one.
@@TW-AZ I can confirm that Henry is working on a dual engine Specular Tempus. In about a year, he hope to release it, you'll be able to make every mix effect you want PLUS change every parameters directly on the medal (for the moment, the called "virtual" parameters are only accessible via Speclab with computer and usb cable) though I don't know if you'll be able to make an engine running (with a reverb by example), while changing the other one seamlessly. (but it sounds like more than doable) Henry is a nice guy.
@@V3nom7 Is he still planning on making this? I'm in the market for a verb and am considering this, a big sky, ventris or empress verb. I'd get this in a heart beat if i could run different delays and reverbs together!

Have you tried Neunaber?

This is the video that got my subscription! Excellent playing good sir! You’re really playing to that pedal!

Great sounds, as per usual. That guitar is KILLER!
Wasn't sure when I saw the faned frets 8 strings Strat, but the last seconds confirmed you're my favorite kind of pyschopath :-)This pedal is monumental for sure.
Haha. Thanks! I'll have to dig that guitar out of storage again. Beast of a thing. Cheers and thanks for watching.

Great Sounds, And that is a Beautiful Guitar
It's true what you say it is, amazingly inspiring and capable!
GFI makes some of the BEST reverb pedals...
Awakening Swell sounds pretty close to the Axe FX Space Verb 2 patch (Stormtrooper lullaby video). Beautiful.
Sound huge! Amazing! Epic!
Amazing, I want one!

some sick riffs!
Sounds like Tangerine Dream at the end very dreamy !!

I must have had too many drinks. That guitar looks like it has wayyy to many strings. Very cool pedal.
It’s a sitar
Hardly any strings at all - compared to a grand piano.
The Shepard tone at the end is fabulous! Can make Hans Zimmer music with that! I though the Meris Mercury was the only one to be able to do this!
Is that 'Burg Vortex' at @6:10 your custom preset.

What’s your opinion in this pedals vs eventide Blackhole? They both can do freeze? Infinite mode?
Wow!
I'm not a religious person (far from it) but that sound is just heavenly!

Any chance that this will work in a very high line level fx loop?
Can you engage the delay while the reverb is already on?
no, the reverb/delays algorithms are not independently controlled. GFI Systems has said they are planning on making a version of the pedal that has two processors though that will be able to do that.
Brett these GIF pedals all sound much the same is there much difference (in your opinion) between them ? They all sound fantastic.

This or eventide space?
This
Anyone had any experience with this and the Eventide Space?
As always a great demo and that guitar sounds fantastic! Could you share that preset here or AxeChange?? Thanks for all your videos!
Can tails stay when changing the presets? Best!
No, but there are rumors that another version is in the works that will allow that.

Bass is my drug I am addicted to my drug
It's all very nice until you get sick of it........ Just give me a Delay and a Reverb through a real valve amp.
I heard that if you let the anti-shimmer go, it can creat a black hole that leads you right to hell.
tacky
pedal waste your money
