I like that the guest guy wasn't stuck up about being vegan like some are. He even acknowledged that people with certain allergies will struggle to be vegan. But on the other side, I feel like people never give vegan food a chance. It's just food, people! Stop making yourself dislike it just because you want to.

hold up... 3:57 (just a quick note from an experienced vegan) Don't think of tofu as a meat replacement.. think of it as its own thing (bc it does NOT taste like meat... its just something you can season like you would meat) you wont like it if you expect it to taste the same
Ella Franta yesss! My fiancé is now vegetarian and I told him to try some ground or scrambled tofu and he said "ew no, I don't want meat replacements".... tofu is a food all on its own:)
As someone who isn't vegetarian even, tofu is great! You can use it to thicken up smoothies and add a light feeling protein to them!! But my fave is just pressing the water out then pan-frying them with sesame oil 😍

but where are the Daiya cheesecakes, black bean brownies, avocado chocolate pudding, vegan cinnamon buns, smoreos using Dandies, or aquafaba meringue cookies?? half of this stuff doesn't look appetizing, and I'm vegan. get them to try the good stuff!!!!
OK Caitlyn I actually made brownies with black beans before I went Vegan. It's a can of rinsed black beans blended smooth and mixed with brownie mix. When cooked they are so moist and fudgy! My very picky meat eating husband even loved them.

was curious as to what brand of brownie mix you use haven't found a good vegan one that has turned out great in texture! and do the beans replace another ingredient, or how does that work? Sorry, I've heard so much about black bean brownies but never knew the best way to make them! :)
they don't make good stuff for normal cheat day episodes all the time. Its all about personal tastes. People don't like things, its the way of life.

I love Ricky!!!! Always love cheat day and obviously it's hard for non-vegan people to adapt to vegan stuff because it's so different but I wish they did a better job with food selection. Much more interesting to watch when people love vegan food than when they hate on it (because the hate on it is an everyday thing for a vegan to hear). They have AMAZING fluffy vegan donuts in LA, shoutout Donut Friend, and delicious cheesecake recipes that aren't avocado (weird choice but i get that Cheat Day is weird choices but almost no vegans would choose that when they're craving cheesecake hahah and why so many puddings?.. there are so many better vegan desserts out there!

Misfit Friend no they ain't they have palm oil which is bought from forest where orangutans live and since oreos are so popular and 'vegan' the company buys the palm oil for really cheap and massive amounts which causes deforestation in result orangutans and other animals are going endangered because of Oreos so no they aren't vegan
Yeah.. well, some palm oil is certified. The oreos in sweden are completely vegan.

Why do the always choose the weirdest shit for the vegan episodes? It gives vegan food a bad rep when it's actually fucking amazing and you can veganize absolutely anything and make it even better than the "regular".

It disappoints me when anything vegan gets a bad "reputation" because not everything is bad just like not everything non vegan is good. Honestly they could've gotten way better desserts. I don't understand why they got the weird desserts. Just my opinion.

Tbh I feel like if you have money, it's fairly easy to be vegan in LA because they have so much good vegan stuff
Also vegan cheesecake is so much better if you use vegan cream cheese (kitehill or tofutti or Trader Joe's, etc) and vegan butter (earth balance) instead of avocado
There are plenty of good places bc no hate towards the chef but chefs that specialize in vegan food can make some good stuff

It's so funny, I bet if you didn't tell them it was vegan, they would immediately eat it and would probably like it. So many people are shut off by the idea of not eating a dead animal. It should be the other way around. There literally wasn't one thing they didn't make a negative comment about before eating it.
EDIT: All I meant by this was that I wish people were more open minded and that food being "vegan" didn't turn people off. That being said, I do still appreciate that they did a vegan episode, I think that's awesome.

I have a delish vegan pudding recipe...it uses chocolate chips but you can use other flavored chips to change the taste
She literally said she liked 70% of the things she just said they weren't the best she'd ever had?! That's not bad! She didn't say a single bad thing about vegans ever in the video she just said she couldn't be one which is fair enough! She's entitled to an opinion and she wasn't mean at all especially since Ricky is one and he was there. Also everyone is saying 'try nice vegan food omg'. What's 'nice vegan food' literally everyone likes different things! Some people may love the avocado cake, others may love vegan brownies, others vegan burgers etc. everyone has different tastes so there's no such thing as specifically 'nice' food cos these all seemed fairly nice compared to things they've tried before. Jeez people get so sensitive! It's a show where all they do is give their opinion on food - take it or don't watch! 😂 it's supposed be light hearted fun why is everyone so triggered? x

I went to a vegan restaurant with my best friend and I'm vegetarian but she's vegan. So when we were leaving, I said we should go get ice cream afterwards and he literally started shouting at me saying I was ruining the planet and his lifestyle isn't a trend as he looked up videos of dairy farms. And the thing is I wasn't even talking about regular ice cream, we were going to Ben and Jerry's which sold non-dairy ice cream. Then he called me a bitch and stormed out. It was so awkward and petrifying.
Because non-vegans have a diet and lifestyle worthy of judgement. But whatever.
