Awesome video, please does this affect the producer's share of the publishing splits?

Are most producers reluctant to sign off & agree to give you full ownership of the master recording? I'm curious to how common this is, especially if they had no involvement in the final recording of the song...

    Hey !
I have a technical question, if someone is hiring me to create a master as a work for hire (so I get paid and have no royalties on that), but nothing in the contract is specified something about the ownership of the stems, do I still own my stems ? Because the person who hired me, request now few years later my stems to create a new master of the master i created and sent him, is it legal ?
I read on internet that for sound recording as work made for hire, everything that isn't specified in the contract ins't considered as a work made for hire, so I still own my stems.
    THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Do I need to file a composition copyright with the library of congress to get paid mechanicals ? Or is registering with the MLC enough?

What if I'm the artist and the producer all-in-one how do I put myself under contract so that I'm able to get paid
