Fun fact the mercenary leader has a rare quote that only triggers the first time you tell your squad to focus fire on him. If you target him before he asks you if he's killed you already you don't get to hear it. the quote goes as follows "All of Bravo squadron against me? That's no fair.. For you"
This level was kicking my ass, even on easy, but here are some tips. There are some black cannons that are part of the station that you want to take out, they are near the cluster of three dishes. For the mercenary, you can shoot the missiles he launches at you to avoid being damaged by them. Do not use any bombs on the mercenary until the last room (After going through the second vent).
The merc's missiles are also very easy to dodge if you hit the breaks. They want to lock on ahead of you so you fly into it, going slow makes it easy to turn out of the way. Just played through this mission :)
@@KilluaZoldyck-de1hq I mean Episode 9 did come out and I refuse to see it, but I did read the plot on Wikipedia and nothing is explained about Snoke...sooo yeah. I'll take the Mercenary Leader, thanks.
I can not for the life of me figure out how to beat final level on hard. It's a cake walk on medium. And every tutorial I watch. Theres no one doing it on hard difficulty. I've beaten every level on hard except this one.
Was this mission weird for anyone who played this and Battle for Naboo (N64, PC; part of Rogue Squadron)? Both games end on this scene, but you know, no one knew who Rhys Dallows was until this game came out, while Battle for Naboo focused on Gavyn Sykes (who appears in this game as Bravo Six). And there was the Mano-e-Mano between Rhys and the Merc. Plus, now that I would think about it, Gavyn Sykes is probably the only Legends character to appear in both Rogue Squadron and Starfighter.
There was also supposed to be a mission where the characters protect the Gungan Grand Army and Royal Naboo ground troops from Trade Federation artillery.
I know exactly how you feel. Inside the station, the units on the ground and the turrets seemed much better at aiming at me than the ones in this playthrough. On hard it is ridiculous how quick they are to hit you.
Does anyone else think that the Mercenary Leader's ship is sexy asf? I love the slight tint of chrome on the front. Anyone else notice that it has a Lok Revenants logo on it? Meaning he may have been a pirate affiliated with Nym. I really wish we could fly it in-game.
It is the Lok Revenants logo, so it is likely they were wishin Nym's ranks. The same ship appears in Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter in the Jango Fett side mission, called the Duergo. different pilot tho than the merc leader
This final mission reminds me of the final battle in Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace where young Anakin Skywalker joins the rest of the squad in this battle but in this game it was Rhys who joins the battle & there are some lines which are quite familar from Star Wars Episode 1 movie
3:51 WRONG!!!! You can ACTUALLY destroy that lander. Just keep shooting it (dont bother wasting torpedoes on it, it's not worth it) and it's shields will eventually go down and eventually blow up. But by the time you're done you'll find yourself a great distance away from the lucrehulk (not too far you can easily get back) other then that Naboo wont have to worry about droid reinforcements
+PKG Exists the one before that i know that track its after 0:36 but im talking about the one before that when one of the pilots said "i hope there right about destroying those transmitters" when he said that whats the song in the background
Dang it I've spent so long playing Elite Dangerous now that I'm like "WHY AREN'T YOU TURNING FLIGHT ASSIST OFF FOR THOSE TURNS???" Seriously though a Star Wars game on Elite's engine would be mad cool.

I can't beat it on hard. I shoot his missles but looks like that scatters them into tiny pieces then those do damage to me lol
Now THIS is pod racing!
Pizza-Man Look. One of ours. Out of the main hold.
I'm starting to think Trench Run.

i remember hating this mission, so much nostalgia. Thanks for the upload
Remember playing this on the PC so many times as a 5th grader. Great game for relaxing after a long day of school
Fuck i miss this game man, it brings so much nostalgia seeing it again.
This mission done my head in, thanks for the video showing how it's done.
It's sad to realize that the unnamed video game villain " mercenary leader" has more character than snoke
I... wouldn't take it that far. Snoke had a little more going for him than "Let me put a stop to your futile efforts."
It's sad to think someone legitimately thinks that.
It’s sad to think Disney can make good Star Wars movies (or movies at all) after Rogue One...
@@KilluaZoldyck-de1hq I mean Episode 9 did come out and I refuse to see it, but I did read the plot on Wikipedia and nothing is explained about Snoke...sooo yeah. I'll take the Mercenary Leader, thanks.

@@-CrimsoN- lol maybe find a better summary. Palpatine keeps a bunch of Snokes in liquid tanks.
Thank you for uploading!
Had a great time watching these videos!
Killing the merc leader is one of the most satisfying moments in gaming folks.
Thanks for uploading this series, I've seen every video you uploaded and boy does this game play bring me back to my childhood. Thanks man. Subbed.
Such a great game, one of my favourites
clunky game very nostalgic xD
The difficulty spike for this mission is insane. If the cluster missiles from the mercenary pilot doesn't kill me its the debris.

Whoever designed this mission should go on a hunting trip with Dick Cheney.
Hahaha good one
Lieutenant Sykes! Is that you!?
Where?
@@kaihedgie1747 Bravo Six
@@TARINunit9 I know but, what timestamp?
@@kaihedgie1747 Sadly that's impossible to tell without looking at the game code, since Matt Walters, Sykes VA, doesn't return for this game
@@TARINunit9 There are no voice files for Bravo SIx in the game, but the other pilots do call for "Bravo Six" during this level.
Thank you so much for this video, that boss was kicking my ass
Did you say that when you're a kid, @Keanuking2124?
The first time I played this game was in 2022. I was trying not to look up any tutorials on how to defeat him

FINALLY! After 21 years, I've finally completed the last level!
ok can someone please explain why no one is shooting at him?? i mean im playing on easy and i get lit up by everyone
Focus on the receiver station and they'll ignore you for the most part also it's important to use boost for the most part.
I know exactly how you feel. Inside the station, the units on the ground and the turrets seemed much better at aiming at me than the ones in this playthrough. On hard it is ridiculous how quick they are to hit you.
@@finris1 Not to mention the Mercenary Leader fires missiles at you that track you and explode in your face every 5 seconds on hard.
Oh! So THAT'S where the exit was!
i destroyed the shield generator and was expecting there to be a tunnel out, instead i just crashed and wasted all that time.
Haha ^^ Bad luck :P
I did that twice before I realized there was another way out. Easily the hardest mission in the game, and I had to essentially beat it 3 times to win.
Does anyone else think that the Mercenary Leader's ship is sexy asf? I love the slight tint of chrome on the front. Anyone else notice that it has a Lok Revenants logo on it? Meaning he may have been a pirate affiliated with Nym. I really wish we could fly it in-game.
