I live in South Florida and I have stopped dressing nice in the Summertime because it is IMPOSSIBLE to deal with the heat and humidity. I can have a beautiful outfit on, make up on-point, hair (curly) in a perfectly coiffed updo...and BAM....the heat hits and I look like a melted candle one step out onto the front porch. So...I really appreciate this content.

I bought an SPF 50 umbrella from Costco a few years ago and that thing is so great for just keeping the sun off of your entire body. Shade=cooler. I recently used it to walk around the amazing San Francisco Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park. Highly recommend to any of your viewers - (the SPF umbrella and the garden). No to a paid membership for me as there is plenty of free content out there. I watch the ads to help you out.

You have 110 thousand subscribers and I think if you put even more energy and time into these videos instead of a paid membership you would get a lot more subscribers. It has been so cold and wet where I live we have only had a handful of days warm enough to wear shorts and sandals…can’t wait to use your ideas!
I really enjoy your content, but would be very hesitant to pay for a membership. All these small monthly costs for various memberships like certain TV networks, Amazon Prime, etc. really add up and you have to draw the line somewhere. I think by not joining, I would feel like I was missing out and not really part of the community…which would make me sad. Just my 2 cents…

Thankyou Kay for all your inspiring videos and blogs. But I too feel you just about cover everything I am interested in your regular blog and could not justify in my budget a membership, especially with the conversion to Canadian currency.
I would be interested in a membership if that is the direction you choose to go in. One of the things I am interested in is garment care. Since joining this community I have changed some of my shopping preferences and will invest in some better pieces but am concerned about good garment care as it pertains to washable garments. I love this blog!
Great tips for this hot and humid weather we're having here in southern Missouri. A membership sounds interesting but like some other ladies I'm not certain what else you could include from what you currently offer. The content would have to be very focused and a specific topic such as eye makeup, getting the perfect brow and brow color, in depth programs on styles for the different body types (beyond what you've currently provided), a Bible study, help with creating one's best (retirement) wardrobe. I know you've written and done videos about many of these topics. So, you could have guest speakers on any of these topics. Love your videos! Have a blessed day!

Fans really do work. I was a competitive ballroom dancer for years and we dancers used fans to cool us down between heats. I keep a fan on my coffee table and one in my handbag. I always chuckle to myself when someone remarks about my fan when I’m out shopping. It’s a fun accessory.

Hello Kay, today it will be 103+ degrees in TX. Just normal weather. Shorts, skirts, skirts and dresses. Natural fabrics as much as possible. I find pants just too hot, including capris. (I personally would not ever wear capris as they are unflattering especially on me.)

Glad to hear your comments about getting rid of all the excess jewelry. Nothing says old quicker than a thick necklace on someone during the summer months in particular. Light and delicate jewelry is so much more on trend. I am not adding in more paid subscriptions. Since the pandemic, everyone is doing them and they are getting more and more expensive by the month. I got roped into a few and am now getting out of all of those. You end up paying for stuff you never use. Everyone always says you can listen to the replay but if you missed the first round, likely you will never listen to the replay so your money just ends up going out of your account and it’s months before you dig yourself out of that money bleed. (I speak from experience). I would rather have the money for cute clothes that are adding quality to my wardrobe. 😊

THANK YOU THANK YOU for testifying that in hot humid climates, even wearing a necklace is too much. I live in tropical Florida. My bra and undies ARE my other layer. I wear lots of flowing dresses that I order from Soft Surroundings. To avoid thigh chafing I usually wear bike exercise shorts from Athleta. I buy ones with pockets so I always have a place for my phone and keys because we all know manufacturers loathe putting pockets in women's dresses. Undersummers is an online company that makes cute shortlettes for under dresses. I keep a fold-up Vera Bradley umbrella in my bag to use as a parasol and a long cotton scarf that I can throw across my chest, dupatta style, to try and preserve my decolletage.

I put a fan in my purse wherever I go. You can pick them up at the market fairs for two dollars. I had one for the Fourth of July that’s red white and blue I have them black-and-white I have one from the Philippines that is made of cloth and embroidered it’s absolutely beautiful screen which would handle.

Most of the coastal grandmothers I know might not be as fashionable as portrayed. Very few Diane Keatons in my neighborhood. Haha! It is not easy to get underwear in my community either…grocery store, convenience store, hardware store and pharmacy. I am a little reluctant to go online again, as I have had several failures and have had to give my purchases away, as returns are not always practical. I do go for Wacoal because I trust the sizes. I like having a wrap or a little light cover jacket. Thanks for the advice!

Another video from you, Kay, chock full of info and ideas. Quite honestly, I can't imagine what more you could possibly offer us in a paid membership that you don't already give us from your blog and videos. So, I'm torn about paid membership. Perhaps an offer of a 30-day free trial? That way I could judge the value before paying? Plus, I would would want it to be easy to get out of the membership. The Zoom meetings sound intriguing, but they'd have to be carefully monitored to avoid all the distracting noise from participant's open mikes and fokks talking over one another. Just my two cents...

I could be wrong, but if I’m right, I would ask you to please be more forthright about any sponsorships in future videos. Most people can appreciate that RUclipsrs need to make some money back for the time they put in into making videos for us to benefit from, and if we are unwilling or unable to make paid contributions though initiatives like patrion, then we should be gracious about being presented with paid content. It’s only fair, though, for us to know which content is paid and which is not. Keep doing the good work, Kay!

In Ohio it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity. I seem to be finding that in Georgia lately. It’s been miserable. We picked up a rental car today. We’re getting the exhaust on our truck fixed. And the car said it was 101 degrees outside. And yes I believe that. But at night it does cool down some. In Ohio it just stays hot and humid all the time. My granddaughter from Ohio is here in Georgia visiting with her boyfriend. They’re staying at a hotel in Rome. It’s close to us. But we had never met this boyfriend so we got them a room. With a big pool. So her brother and sisters can go there and swim. They will enjoy it. They came to visit. But they aren’t staying here. Which is fine with me. I’m sure we will be doing this all week with them. They go back on the 12th, and she’s taking her brother and sisters with her for a while. I’m not sure how it will work. Her sisters have jobs here. Oh well, it not my problem. Maybe only her brother will go. Who knows.

What would you recommend to wear under those white tops in this heat? It seems each year they have thinner material. I wear a camisole but surely there is one that helps beat the heat? Also touch on bras for the mature woman, this one is over 60.
