    I believe in this pitcher. You’re right: really extreme case of biting off more than you can chew. If he keeps on working out and getting his reps in the minors- he’ll bounce back.

    its the whole organization, i think in the offseason before the 2023 season was it, everyone thought they were going to sign verlander or scherzer then they cheaped out and got Bassitt. That sent a message that the jays are "half in half out" and it really took the wind out of the sails. The culture from that point on has been one of "getting by" instead of "let's dominate the way we know we can"

    Might just be a coincidence but he hasn't been the same since the pitch clock. As a Jays fan it sucks to see what is happening to him. Our management is absolutely terrible

    Facts but does this not happen to so many pitchers now? The game has changed. There have been countless pitchers who have fallen off like this after previous cy young like seasons. You can argue the tightening up on sticky stuff by the umpires has caused this. Seems so common these days
