Being a kid in the 80's, shows like these were bitter sweet. I loved them so much and they had a big impact on me, but it always made me sad when they were cancelled. However, I was too young to understand the concept. As far as I knew, they just disappeared from television and I didn't know why. How could such a cool show like this not be on tv anymore? I would religiously check the schedule for weeks to see if it was coming back, but ultimately gave up when the next short lived, far out show caught my attention, only to repeat the process all over again when it too was cancelled. Sorry to be a downer, but such was life for an 80's kid.

YES!! Thank you; I’ve been waiting ages for anyone to create content based on this delightful yet short-lived property. I watched the absolute $#1% out of this show when it first aired, and caught every repeat episode until they stopped being aired too.
Snappy, cornball 80’s theme music to grab your attention, Master-of-the-Universe/Wierd Science fonts to hammer home the production value you were going to get upfront; for that matter, the show came off as a bit more Quantum Leap or AirWolf than Ghostbusters (but you are indeed correct about the niche market it was trying to target).
But what I liked about it & still remember fondly today is how it made a live-action X-men TV show seem possible (and really should be considered one of TV’s earliest attempts to realize, even if the properties were completely unrelated).

I was born and raised in Dallas, and my first and middle initials are J.R. But my parents never watched Dallas for some reason, leaving me to belatedly discover this amazing show that totally captured my kid imagination. I was unreasonably excited to see the new episodes on Friday nights, until they just stopped showing up. I was gutted to learn it was gone and not coming back. For years I would tell people about it, but nobody I ever mentioned it to had ever seen it.
