I like the rainbow highlighter! It went on so beautifully! Ha! I am waaaaay older than you but I also had the stackable multi color pen when I was a kid. I will pass on everything. Thank you for showcasing the release🌸
The collection looks cute, but more spring/summer. I do wish they would do more sustainable packaging on these collections - it’s so much plastic! 😢 I might pick up the makeup remover pads, they look nice.
@@tamarblackburn4312 I agree, it would've made more sense if this was released around may. A part of me almost thinks this got pushed back.. in the summer it was a bit quiet over at Essence for a bit
I was so looking for your review of the lip tower! It was very fun to watch and I always appreciate your honest reviews 😊. Thanks a lot for doing this video!
The highlighter looks good on you. Is there any glitter in it? Does it emphasize any texture? I love the Make me glow baked highlighter from Essence and I hope every highlighter from them would perform and look similar😏.
@@dee8269 there is no glitter in it and I didn't think it overly emphasized texture! It is more glowy than the Make Me Glow however. Not a similar formula I'd say.. Maybe if you use just a little bit?
Hey, unrelated to the video, I heard that the Catrice foundation was discontinued and replaced in Europe. I know you don’t usually wear foundation but wanted to ask if you know if this is true or not. If so, I might have to get another bottle before it disappears here in the US.
In my opinion, this collection looks very childish and somehow seems like Essence did not make an effort to choose more wearable colours. This is just fast fashion - makeup edition - when companies come up with a collection every fortnight. Most of the times the products in the mini collections are not as good quality as the products in their permanent line or they use the products in their permanent line with a different package and sell it as a new or limited edition (check the ingredient list). I know makeup should be fun sometimes and not just useful, still is a bit wasteful that these products are only a temporary trend.
I completely agree. Lately I look at these new releases and I understand, that they are not adding anything to my makeup collection. Yes, it is affordable, but do you really need it, if you already have at least somewhat decent amount of makeup? Maybe they are targeting a younger audience, who knows.
@@kr1st1ana1 I do not buy anything that is trendy even if it is attractive in terms of packaging. These overwhelming new releases happen with so many brands these days, luxury included and the quality has decreased. I get that a younger audience would be thrilled to buy new stuff every other week but this is just a bad encouragement for companies to exploit bad spending habits. I wish they would invest more in the quality of their permanent lines rather than just throwing on the market a vast array of products that in the end, no one needs.
Highlighter reviews are always a bit pointless because on camera the colour never shows up, every highlighter just looks like a silver shimmer, maybe if we could have some closeups it might be helpful ?

@@danicee which foundation do you mean?
@@MarlieWijn The True Skin one.
Yes it is true. Catrice launched a new foundation to replace it. It is called Invisible Cover Foundation.

@@florentinatf I agree, I don't really understand why Essence is pumping out so many collections that seem very random
@@florentinatf yes, a lot of my favorite products are older "classics". and even the things I have bought recently are rarely a new releases.
