    Can't believe he's gone. Had the talent and the brain to match. I had the pleasure of having a couple of beers with him at the Oval, just oozed charisma. Will be a lot of batmen in heaven more nervous for his arrival. RIP Warnie

    It astonishes me how intelligent Warne, Ponting, Clarke, Hussey, and Gilchrist. Listening to their commentary, with Warne and Ponting in particular, I realized how they are assessing the game and are always thinking a step ahead. No wonder they were invincible. So much talent, Waugh brothers, Mcgrath, Martyn, and Lee included, and such brainpower, that they just steamrolled teams.

  • @spinking458

    Two things practically no Spin bowler in world Cricket has today, that's presence & that's a sense of theater. Warnie was a leg spin bowler, with a fast bowlers mentality. Even though he didn't have the advantage a fast bowler had of being able to bowl 150km bouncers, he was still just as intimidating. Which is just extraordinary when you think he basically walked in to bowl and was primarily bowling 82-85km an hour leg breaks.
    Most spin bowlers i watch these days always seem to hurry through their overs, often because they are being used just to try to dry up an end, and as a way to give the quick bowlers a rest. Which is a real shame as real spin bowlers can be so dangerous.
    An absolute cricketing genius unquestionably. And in my opinion, the greatest cricketer of all time.

      So beautifully written , yes the thing that separated warnie from others was his thinking as a fast bowler and just the theatre and mind games that he brought into it , along with the amazing skills that he possessed .he is also one of the few who discusses it openly after his career and somehow I feel the articulation of his skill is unparalleled , maybe there were other equally good cricketers but nobody could articulate it as beautifully as warnie did

    One more thing all cricketers need to learn from Shane is how he keeps his mind clear when he is on the field. From the news and the troubles he gets into, he seems similar to Jesse Ryder. But look how there is a big difference in match temperament and professionalism. We have seen how people with similar freakish lifestyles have let their character affect their game and vanish, but not Warne.
    When he is onto the field he wants to contribute even though he is playing with seniors and legends like McGrath, Ponting, Gilly, Lee who are all masters in their own skill.

    • @MrDaGeil

      The only thing similar between Shane Warne and Jesse Ryder is they're both living people.

    Warne should teach spin bowling in Australia so we can find the next great spin bowler. We are always short on great spin bowlers over here and who better to teach it.

    • @someblokecalleddave1

      I use rubber car mats and try and land it on those or near them - anywhere as long as it doesn't go leg-side. Then you just practice continuously. It comes down to practice in the end and loads of it for most people.

    • @P0RK3NST31N
      @P0RK3NST31N 10 лет назад +2

      Something more you can do is to start those rubber mats (or whichever target you are using) being fairly large in size and as he is getting more and more accurate you decrease the size so you eventually have a target about 10cm x 10cm (or smaller)

    • @MrDaGeil
      @MrDaGeil 10 лет назад

      He, or you, need to aim your sight's a little lower......for now.

    • @someblokecalleddave1
      @someblokecalleddave1 10 лет назад

      Yeah - the bigger mat idea is a good idea. If you've ever seen Terry Jenners vids done for the BBC he draws a big circle on the floor and says if you're actually spinning the ball hard, anywhere in that circle/oval is going to produce results.

    • @saamalam2738
      @saamalam2738 7 лет назад +1

      ASV123 GAMING the key is to aim at leg stump then make sure it spins to off stump but it's important not to bowl wide of the stump as the batsman could take advantage of that.
      Edit: make sure it's at a good length. At least make it more full than short.

    Bcci can't think this type of content with Kumble in their wetest of dreams. To them this is betrayal by breaking the code of conduct.
    BCCI: "Showing young kids the psychology of crease banter!! ... Oh my god that's dangerous to the mind. Instead children should watch chain khuli ki main khuli.
