Sadly, because of the suspension of Artest for 86 games and the suspension of Jermaine O'Neal (30 games) and Stephen Jackson (15 games) the hopes of a successful season were quickly shattered. The team was never the same afterward.
A lot of people get squeamish about the Malice mostly due to the actions of everybody involved, not just Artest. If any more funny business happened in the building that day, there was a good chance the fans would either go into mass hysteria, or galvanize into a riot. That being said, Artest certainly doesn't deserve all the blame here. It was just a bad day for everyone.
If he got the job at Circuit City, did he ever work a shift? Did anybody ever buy quality electronics at affordable prices from a rookie Ron Artest? We need to know.
