      @@AsianPetrolhead Definitely, subscribed already. Big fan of Asian cars and - in my youth - motorbikes. It's between the Niro and the Ioniq for my next car as sick of Nissan Qashqais and diesel especially. Want something that is economical, eco friendly, packed with tech (gadget head) and fun to drive. Think the Premium SE with leather front seats, a nice metallic paint job and all the extras is the one for me. And to think, there was once a time when Korean cars were not taken seriously, and now they get the value/performance balance perfect. Much better than Toyota and all the Japanese car makers even.

    What a lovely review. 👍🤗😘
    I have watched a few reviews and yours is clearly upper class. From switching on the headlamps to honking, and revealing the reason for naming this automobile, Ioniq. From driving crazy to showing braking ability. You showcased almost every aspect of my dream car. Thank you very much.😘
    I have been fortunate to own a white 2020 Ioniq Hybrid for the past 3 weeks. And I am loving every minute behind the wheel. And beating the famed Toyota Prius at its own game(record mpg), has brought me to love my Snowwhite. I noticed a range of 1030km on a full tank. Awesome!
    For the record, recently I reluctantly parted ways with my 5yo Hyundai Elantra at the dealership.😭

    I like the look of the front fascia as well as the rear of the New Ionic, it’s an improvement over the old one. Although I wish it would come with a spare tire. The inflator kit will actually damage the interior of the tire, including the pressure monitor. If I were to choose a hybrid I would only consider the Ioniq. The Prius looks like it tries too hard to look hyper modern but it results looking over-designed, plus it doesn’t come with either Apple Car Play or Android Auto like Hyundai.

    This model doesn't have any room or provision for a small spare tire, only a foam canister. I would be interested in this vehicle but not having a spare tire is a deal breaker for me. Can the storage area be rigged to place a donut tire in the lower area of the trunk?

    • @AsianPetrolhead
      @AsianPetrolhead  5 лет назад +1

      Well i am not sure when you are watching from but Hyundai and Kia does offer spare tires depending countries especially US and North American markets. Thanks.

    • @peterniss7328
      @peterniss7328 3 года назад

      Pretty much, all cars with tire repair kits are placed in a foam tray that covers the usual spot where a spare tire goes. Simply remove the foam tray and it will reveal the space where the spare tire is screwed into place. I have to assume, they do this to reduce the weight of the vehicle. The spare donuts are not too expensive.

    Thank you for the comprehensive review, Charlie. Nice refresh for the Hyundai Ioniq which truly is a fascinating car. Per mentioned at 6:05, I say that touch sensor buttons are ergonomically hazardous & distracting for the driver to activate; kind of like cellphone texting to request climate control changes or windshield defogging. Oh well, otherwise it still appears to be a fine car.
