My first open mic-the kid in front of me got defensive with the audience because they weren't laughing at his jokes and he told them-"maybe if you'd listen and shut up-you'll find what Im saying funny. He got booed off the stage (SURPRISE). I was thinking that they're going to hate me after that-proud to say I turned them around and got laughs. Been hooked since!!👍💪

That IS him knowing the audience. He brought up something to make morning Kentucky gun-nuts feel uncomfortable. The host didn’t like the joke about furious women, the audience didn’t like the joke about guns and wigs, yet all of Kentucky probably liked the trans joke. A perfect way to hold a mirror up to them and he did it on purpose 👍 😂
This felt like meeting the parents of a lady you just started seeing and have zero interest on making it long term.
