    Is it possible for you to have the build sheet with you when you’re walking through the truck? That way you could for sure tell us what options it has like the differential locks and frame coating? Just a note for something that could improve the videos a touch when you know for sure. I like hearing about the options

    • @billupstateny9151
      @billupstateny9151 3 года назад +1

      Would make videos too long & cumbersome. If you are that interested, sit w/ your KW Sales Person & order a truck. These videos are a cursory overview which highlight the primary PACCAR features.

    • @chevyon37s
      @chevyon37s 3 года назад

      @@billupstateny9151 i think it could actually save time as he could tell us the correct option the truck has and why it was ordered that way like he already does. And he wouldn’t have to take a second to try and remember if the truck has and option or say he can’t remember or have to try and identify by looking around the truck if it does for sure. And with video editing like he already does he could look at the spec sheet quick if he is unsure and go back to filming and talk about it and the part where he had to look up would never make it into the finished video.
      I’m not saying actually stand there and read off the spec sheet, but use it to remind or refresh himself on the correct info to the truck before the video. Plus who wants to deal with a salesman who can’t tell you what options for certainty the truck you’re buying from him has?

    • @billupstateny9151
      @billupstateny9151 3 года назад +1

      @@chevyon37s Did you read what you wrote? Who wants to deal w/ a salesman?
      Did you not realize Andy is a salesman. ?
      These are simply highlight videos. It is difficult enough to maintain the audience attention For 15 minutes to the end w/o describing every nut and bolt. If you were aware of you tube analytics, you would have an understanding. Hopefully Andy will ignore your suggestion as it would cost him viewers.
      Not sure what your objective is but an in depth explanation of every function on the truck will bore the H E double L out of most folks. I have had a specific question about an item, I asked clarification in the comments, better than 90% of the time, Andy responds, timely matter.
      Again if you want a computer voice description of the specs, you are alone.
      Andy's audience likes his impromptu method of truck videos. He self-deprecates & that is part of the charm .
      If you are unable to find a knowledgeable PACCAR sales person, you are not looking very hard. They have the highest product awareness standards in the industry.

    • @chevyon37s
      @chevyon37s 3 года назад

      @@billupstateny9151 did you read what I wrote? Or did you just pick a choose pieces? You’re taking things out context (like the salesman comment) Because if you did, you could understand the bigger picture. I’m not asking for an explanation of every single option a truck has on the sheet. I’m just asking for him to be correct about the ones he does mention and not waste time questioning himself on what was ordered. As he already explains lots of the options. I’m not asking for more.
      I know he is a salesman. I was speaking to the point of who would want to speak to a salesman that doesn’t know his stuff or can’t tell you what he ordered for you? Nobody. People want a knowledgable and personable salesman, and he can come across as more personable by knowing his customer’s truck without adding any time to the video with a little prep work.

      Because that would increase cost in the base price of the truck... think of KW’s largest customer base. Companies who trade in trucks every few years. So they don’t care how the truck resists rot/ holds up long term. And it won’t get them any more value as a trade in. Simple economics

      @@chevyon37s Irresponsible statement. Unless you sit on a large freight firm board o r employed as a spec writer, there is no foundation. Have some bonafide credentials before throwing around wild speculation.

      @chevyon37s 3 года назад

      @@billupstateny9151 I never said the frames are rotted at trade in... learn some reading comprehension.
      It’s a simple concept that is applied across nearly all fleet truck and equipment models. And while I don’t sit on the board for any company I do have rather good knowledge of fleet management from an equipment rental company fleet standpoint. And machine cost is a huge factor to national companies when ordering machines for their fleets, so keeping the base price of the equipment down is key to staying profitable. and as per usual fleet equipment is sold off after X amount of hours or years in fleet. So things that enhance the long term life of the machine (like KW’s Zinc frame paint) are not options fleet companies get to keep the purchase cost of the machine down, so no value is seen from such options at time of resale or trade in to those companies.
