Hey Andy, the hairs looking good mate 👍, I visited the Kenworth factory here in Melbourne tbis week and they have a lot of grouse gear coming out of there.
I was like that when I got my first T880 back in 2014, after realized how much more space and all the T880 has over the T800 you couldn’t get me back in a T800. I did wished that Kenworth had a option like the T800 with the extended cab behind the seats.
Is it possible for you to have the build sheet with you when you’re walking through the truck? That way you could for sure tell us what options it has like the differential locks and frame coating? Just a note for something that could improve the videos a touch when you know for sure. I like hearing about the options
Would make videos too long & cumbersome. If you are that interested, sit w/ your KW Sales Person & order a truck. These videos are a cursory overview which highlight the primary PACCAR features.
@@billupstateny9151 i think it could actually save time as he could tell us the correct option the truck has and why it was ordered that way like he already does. And he wouldn’t have to take a second to try and remember if the truck has and option or say he can’t remember or have to try and identify by looking around the truck if it does for sure. And with video editing like he already does he could look at the spec sheet quick if he is unsure and go back to filming and talk about it and the part where he had to look up would never make it into the finished video. I’m not saying actually stand there and read off the spec sheet, but use it to remind or refresh himself on the correct info to the truck before the video. Because that would increase cost in the base price of the truck... think of KW’s largest customer base. Companies who trade in trucks every few years. So they don’t care how the truck resists rot/ holds up long term. And it won’t get them any more value as a trade in. Simple economics

@@billupstateny9151 I never said the frames are rotted at trade in... learn some reading comprehension. It’s a simple concept that is applied across nearly all fleet truck and equipment models. And while I don’t sit on the board for any company I do have rather good knowledge of fleet management from an equipment rental company fleet standpoint. And machine cost is a huge factor to national companies when ordering machines for their fleets, so keeping the base price of the equipment down is key to staying profitable. and as per usual fleet equipment is sold off after X amount of hours or years in fleet. So things that enhance the long term life of the machine (like KW’s Zinc frame paint) are not options fleet companies get to keep the purchase cost of the machine down, so no value is seen from such options at time of resale or trade in to those companies.

The plastic DEF tank cover detracts from the overall appearance of this truck. 🙊👀
