I think the thing they may not yet be aware of as judges is....tiktok exists and humans unifying and pack bonding over the smallest and inane little things that are a common experience/ feeling that everyone has. This guy just so happened to tap into everyone's love of parmesan. But he's not the first person to find a niche thing that turns out to not be so niche, and everyone loves it. In 2022 what makes "good music" isn't just incredible vocals; it's relatability. And that means the song can be weird and catchy and funny and still be good.
I couldn't believe it when the last person on the panel "X"ed him out when it was so apparent that the audience was loving him. AND I'm so proud of the audience for getting him back. 👊🙂👍

The guy who sang about cleaning Microsoft windows was okay but did not make me LOL. Johnny Showcase was another song that liked okay but I didn't laugh at it while I did like the "we can be sensual but not sexual" line.
