The Queen has been joined by Prince William for her first public engagement outside of a royal residence since March.
Her Majesty and the Duke of Cambridge visited the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) at Porton Down in Wiltshire.
The monarch ventured from HMS Bubble - the nickname for her reduced household of staff - for what was her first external engagement in seven months.

Though they are supposedly social distancing, it is quite telling that no one was wearing a mask and that they stated so. And it needs to be considered that this is a facility that does research on this type of warfare.
bit of a strange place to visit given the fact shes at risk being so old during coronavirus times.

Interesting. Was it just coincidence that the Russian novichok poisoning in Salisbury was so very close to Porton Down? I find that curious. Am not into conspiracy theories particularly.

And I guess the two GRU agents photographed in Salisbury immediately before the poisoning were telling the truth when they said they were there to see the cathedral, (but had to leave early because they were having problems with the snow:).
@@tonyjames5444 but why did it all occur just a couple of miles down the road from porton down is what I am interested in? Is it just a massive coincidence? Or just purely as the Russian was there...possibly he liked the area due to working with porton down when he came across? Why there, so close? Did he also just have a thing for the Salisbury cathedral spire? It is very tall, after all and seems to attract quite a following, the snow can be a problem though :)
