    How would you subjectively rate the noise level / comfort of the tire on highway use? I live in the midwest just like you and it’s a 15 minute drive before I hit the freeway. I really love the looks of the Wildpeaks.

      They’re a very quiet tire for how aggressive of a tread they have. I was very impressed with the wildpeaks, only drawback for me was the weight of the tire compared to other tires in same size and all terrain category. Something to consider for handling and acceleration of your truck when you buy. I shaved 7-8 pounds per tire switching to cooper at3 xlt tires now.

      @@TrophyTimeAdventures Thanks for the feedback! Funny, I'm running the Cooper AT3 LT and looking to switch Wildpeak lol

      Can’t go wrong with either tires. If you stay same size tire and load rating between the two I suspect you’ll notice a firmer ride with the falken due to their 2 ply double thick rolled up sidewall and extra weight compared to the coopers.

    I think I want to get a set of these for my F150 Tremor, step up to 295/70 from the stock 275 grabbers, but holy shit are they WAY heavier than even other options at 295. They are almost 20lbs heavier per tire than the stock grabbers.
    Torn between these and the Toyo OC ATIII tires when the grabbers wear out.

      I would agree with the weight of these being on the heavier side, I’d say it’s their only drawback. Probably something I’ll consider with next tire purchase for rotational/unsprung mass reasons. Thanks for watching!

    I'm looking at getting these tires for my truck, I'm in Texas and with the rain storms we do or can get here, I'm looking for a good AT that is good in wet conditions and these seem to fit the bill. However I'm worried about the sidewalls as I've heard with these tires it's very much the weakest part. I'm also curious how they would hold up in the Texas heat conditions.

      My understanding is the sidewall design is a two ply thickness that is folded over at the bead and ran back up to about where the sidewall lugs pattern starts. So in theory it’s a 4 ply thickness in that sidewall section making for a rather strong sidewall. Hope that helps you thanks!

    With that amount of miles and you’re only down to around 12/32nds…Wouldn’t you likely be able to get close to 100K miles out of the tires? I must be doing my math wrong lol

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  11 месяцев назад +2

      Yes I very well could I bet! I typically replace my LT truck tires around 5 or 6/32 left as traction tends to get sketchy below that, especially if I’m that far down coming into winter.

      Yea same, I wouldn’t let them get down to 2/32nds either. That’s crazy though. I have Grabber ATXs right now and I’m at 40K miles on this set. They’re around 11/32nds which is good but my god they are loud.

      At the time they were a steal! They’ve definitely gone up in price now that they’re more established in the market and inflation

      Hey I try to rotate around 6k miles or so and has worked great for me. Thanks for watching!

      @@TrophyTimeAdventures Okay thank you very much, I'm changing mine next week since my Bridgestone Dueler lasted 40.000 miles without rotations :P

    How well do they balance out?

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  Год назад

      They balance out very well, they do seem to take more weight than usual though compared to my last two sets of BFGs, thanks for watching!
