Isle of Tenerife,
Spain,
Africa.
Well it's ABOUT TIME!
Best wishes,
Patchy.
P.S.: Every time in this excellent video when you said "Ulster" you could more correctly have said "Ulster and Mayo".
Go raibh maith agat, Patchy! 🤗 … Interesting! I guess Ulster and Munster have more in common than it seems like on the surface! 😃 Best wishes to you too, and have a lovely time on vacation! 🌊 🏝️

No, not Munster.
Mayo.
The northern half of Connaught, my home county.
Ah! 😅 🙈 😂 I completely misread that -thanks! 👍 Now *THAT* makes more sense…Mayo Irish does definitely sound a lot like Ulster Irish.
Heard about wildfires in Tenerife…Hope you you are safe and sound 🙏
You are romantically linked to Irish dear Rosie while any Irish natives dont speak this language. I am fascinated it because it is on the extinction list, I care because I am an environmentalist so all things on course to extinctions get my attention
Indeed I am-🥰 😁 I love Irish so much! And thank you! I too hope to see a strong comeback for this amazing language from the brink of extinction! 🙏🏼
I assume you meant 'many' Irish natives?
Labhraíonn go leor againn an teanga an t-am ar fad. Mairfidh sé agus fásfaidh sé. 😊
@@MsCST11and it the most popular language on duolingo I am told👍😊
Grma as an físean fíorspéisiúil a Rosie, ba mhór an cúnamh é le snas a chur ar mo chuid gramadaí!

Ar fheabhas Rosie,grmma

Go raibh míle míle maith agat, a Chara! 😁 🤗 👋 🙈
Dia dhuit arís a Rosie! Have you ever been directed to the Irish resources website of Ciarán Ó Duibhín? He specialises in Ulster-Irish, and as soon as I discovered him I knew I had inform a Gaedhilg student such as you. Be warned, the writing is of an academic nature which may not be best for learners, and there is a fair bit of non-language content in genealogy & local history, but if you can get past that there should be a lot of good reading. You might even be able to mention the useful articles in a future video.
I tried putting the address here but the spam filter keeps deleting my comment. The address ends in forward slash oduibhin
I think I found it! Thank you- I think it’s www3.smo.uhi.ac.uk/oduibhin/ (hopefully it won’t delete the link) ☀️ I think I was on there awhile back, but forgot it existed; so thank you! 😃 I will add it to my list of recourses and share it in my next video!
@@irishwithrosie2007 Sin é é! He's from County Down, and so has has a particular interest in the dialect of eastern Ulster, which hasn't survived. That said, he does have a lot on Donegal, ie western Ulster, where it is still alive. He's surely among the best authorities on the dialect.
Nice! I’m glad I found the right one-thank you again! 💯 ☀️
@@irishwithrosie2007 Another well regarded Ulster-Irish speaker would be Séamas Ó Catháin from Tír Eoghain. He's the man who recorded Seán Ó hEinrí, the famous Irish monolingual speaker. He has an Irish translation of The Great Gatsby coming out this year, apparently.
Nach bhfuil tú an milis. Maith thú.
🙈 Tá tusa iontach milis, a Chara! ☺️ Go raibh maith agat! ☀️
