  • Today’s INTERNET ANALYSIS is exploring the trend of RUclips groups such as Team 10 and Clout Gang moving into mansions in Los Angeles, California. how much is rent? Who pays for this?? So many questions.
    #internetanalysis #commentary
    In Shane Dawson’s series on Jake Paul, we saw the Team 10 House, the Clout House with Alissa Violet, and Nick Crompton in a similar mega mansion. Why do 10+ influencers choose to live together in these massive, million-dollar homes? Also featured is Danny Homes AKA Danny Fitzgerald, the landlord of the mansion Creatyler trashed. I know too much about all of this now... hope you enjoy!

    I need to see an analysis on why David Dobrik is well liked and popular whereas jake Paul is pretty hated (among adults at least). They both have at least similarities when it comes to pranking their friends/ having crazy stuff be their content. Is it bc David is open that a lot of it is scripted so he feels like a more genuine person? Is it that jake is trying to convince his 6 year old followers that it’s real and that makes adults dislike him? It might just be that David is funny and jake isn’t I really don’t know. Idk I just feel like that’s at least a semi interesting question? Anyways Tiffany I love this video. ok I’ve lived in LA my entire life and I feel like there is SO much false information and stereotypes about LA. It’s true that so many celebrities live here, it’s a money or “clout” oriented place, there’s a lot of people in the tv/movie/music/social media industry, but THATS SUCH A SMALL PART OF IT!! I think most people don’t know how big LA is. I live by LAX in a cute small town about an hour from downtown la or Hollywood (like 30 but can be 2 hrs bc of traffic bc LEMME TELL U THE TRAFFIC STEREOTYPE IS TRUE). People ik from other states are always like “omg u must run into so many celebrities” but I’ve literally met 1 and it was at a tourist destination type place (abbot Kinney, Venice). The majority of LA is smaller towns and it can vary from extreme poverty to places like Calabasas (kardashians, Jeffee star) and most youtubers I’d say live in dtla (which is mostly lowkey dangerous but then also super rich areas), Venice, Santa Monica, etc. i think my main point is that each small city in LA (which there’s a ton) varies so much from low income, high income, materialistic/superficial, hippie/boho, artsy, business, conservative, liberal, and so much more !! LA IS THE DEFINITION OF A MELTING POT AND MEDIA ONLY COVERS A SMALL PART OF IT !! Sorry for the novel I doubt anyone will read this all lmao

    • @maggie1000
      @maggie1000 5 лет назад +14

      sophie Well I think we all know that like logically LA can’t JUST be all these famous people and clout chasers but like you said that’s just mostly what comes out in the media and what people cover when they’re talking about LA so now when people think of LA that’s just what they think of. Like you think Florida you think sunshine state when Florida is actually just rainy or way too hot. Or you think New York and you think big Apple. It’s just what places become famous for and that’s what people think of when they think of those places because you hear it so much it forms an association in your mind. It’d be like if you say bed and someone immediately thinks pillow or sleep. I eat, watch tv, and study/do hw in my bed but I’d still think sleep because that’s just what beds are known for that association is just locked into our brains

      Cassandra Jindra Also, his teachers probably didn‘t have malicious intent? Like, if someone younger told me they wanted to stop studying to become I vine star, I would also tell them to finish their education first, in case something goes wrong. That‘s just common sense. But it seems like he took it as an insult?

    • @LoveAndSnapple
      @LoveAndSnapple 3 года назад +3

      A lot of celebrities (rappers and internet stars, specifically) tell their audience that there was always some teacher or authority figure that told them they weren’t going to make it or that they don’t have a future. I doubt that teachers are really telling these kids that they’re not going to amount to anything, but they seem to really take it heart that no one believes in their ability to become millionaires from making non-sensical prank videos. Because while Jake Paul proved Miss Clark wrong, there are WAAAAAAAAY more that failed and proved her right.

    It reminds me of what they do with pro gamers in Japan, or wherever it is, basically shoving them all into a house & working them to the point of mental breakdown - these places are RUclipsr farms, & knowing already how hard many RUclipsrs, self included, find it to switch off at night when there's always more editing to do, thumbnails to fiddle with, then Instagram & Twitter to upkeep, comments to respond to, messages to deal with, sponsors to appease - even the average teenager uses social media to the detriment of their sleep habits, so when it becomes your actual business too, keeping routines in proportion can get so out of whack. If you throw several of these equally driven, social media consumed individuals into a house, where they're on a constant collab schedule, jumping in & out of each other's videos plus sorting out their own content, their media accounts, merch promos etc, & you are all *living at work* , with no real personal chillout space of your own, *and* it's right in the middle of Hollywood crazytown to boot, Jeeeesus... No wonder none of the older RUclipsrs have been doing this shit yet - I don't think a human body over the age of 27 could handle the constant bombardment of stress - literally a 24/7 job where you sleep at your desk :-/
    ...& yeah. Flexing culture is so bizarre, & so cringey, & I really feel like so many young people these days are growing up with impossibly warped ideas of what adult life can ever look like...

    something I've noticed about these big groups of influencers that I found interesting is that they are basically creating greek life for social media stars. Many of these people are at the age where they might otherwise be in college if it weren't for their internet fame, and they are basically living out their "wild college years" in front of millions on the internet. The fact that they all live in these mansions together, have nicknames for their groups, reputations, and compete against each other is the exact same mentality as greek life in college.

    Wow great video!! So interesting how they got they idea from 1600 vine. I have a met a few team 10 members a year and a half ago and let me tell you them seem absolutely miserable. They also have this weird fan base of kids who weep just seeing them. As soon as the fans walk away or the camera is off their smile falls so fast. it seems so terrible being famous. They are actually polite though. You have been consistently posting for so long and it sucks how these people make terrible content and have so many followers but I guess it’s all because they cater to kids and what people click on whether or not their heart is in it. It’s all about money for them. You’ve always been true to yourself which is why people have been coming back for years. Once the trends change these youtubers fall off and it’s on to the next one. I remember you said a few years ago you were going to give RUclips on e more year and I’m glad you didn’t give up on it!
