Apologies for the music at the end, not quite sure why it decided to wage war against me but hopefully you got the message ahahahaha. As always, feel free to ask any questions :)
Things that happen when you hustle editing! Still heard you talking 👊🏻🔥😂

Great work Jake, what you've achieved at this age, both academically and in life in general is astonishing. Keep working hard and all the best!
Thank youu! Will do 🙌🏽
Yesss thank you it was actually quite interesting to hear and well done for getting through it all so proud. ❤️😌
Thank youu :) xx
Good luck, I’m a first test imperial student and it is an incredible uni. I have to say the teaching is amazing and they really do care about student mental health. It’s hard work but it’s worth it.
which course are you doing ?
Another Amazing Video❤️ I rly hope you get your choices. You’re Great!!
Thank you so much!!
Great video mate hope you’re well and hope you find the right place.
Thanks man, really appreciate it ❤️
I am 19 mints late🥲won’t forget this🤧btw love every content of urs wheather its relevant for me or not I just simply loveee how motivated i am after watching youu♥️
Aw, I’m glad I can have that impact 😁
@@JakeClarke youu do hAveee!!!
Thanks for the vid man! Two of my friends and I applied for the same course and entry as you but none of us have heard back yet 😬 My EEE friend has already got his interview and decision though and had a similar experience to yours so it’s just really relieving to know that the interviews aren’t as nerve wrecking as Cambridge’s 😭😭
Good luck for your Cam decision btw mate 🤞🏽
lets get u to 1 million subs, all the best
Hi Jake, I will have an online interview for the master in fluid mechanics at Imperial College. They say that will assess maths and basic mechanics concepts. Do you know what topics would be assessed? Thank you for your answer!
Hello everyone, hello Jack, I just. want to ask when will mech eng send offers. 8 days ago, I just finished the mech eng's interview which went kinda well. I heard from my friend that he received the offer on March next year. So what about you guys?😊
amazing video jake! can't wait for your results!! x
Thank you!!
Imagine getting a heart from jake
Well done! Also, did you have to write an entrance exam for the admissions ?
Hope you get into your first choice!!!
You are a very bright young lad
Hoped I was that clever
Thanks man! Appreciate it ❤️
Hey. What was the time duration between your application submission date and interview email ?
I enjoyed watching your video! I wish you all the best with your offers and final decisions, you may want to check who is going to be your Librarian should you choose imperial. :)
No way ahahahha! Maybe see you next year :)
@@JakeClarke well, I’m in the Engineering domain but not MechEng, so no conflict of Interest. 😉
The binging RUclips videos and scrolling through TSR, I can definitely relate🤣🤣I had an interview as well for mech eng, and I feel like it was very chill too. I had two questions on my personal statement (not in too much depth) then I had to sketch a graph and answer an engineering question (open ended so more of a discussion)
Yeah it’s literally all I did 😂 and that’s sick. Was that interview at imperial then?
@@JakeClarke Yeah
What exactly were the questions or did you forget?
Do you encourage Real Madrid or Barcelona?
Hey, I have my interview 2 days later, do you dress formal?
Good video bro, I’m from Spain and I would like to apply to electronic engineering, do you know if I had to do the foundation year or just have good grades and good English? It would be great if you can answer this.
I had my imperial interview 2 weeks ago for chemistry. Ended up getting an offer there
Congrats 🙌🏽❤️
What were your A level and Gcse grades
What are the college timings for engineering students ?
I just got conditional offer yesterday for Biological Sciences! So excited and can't wait to study in Imperial!
That’s sick 🙌🏽 Maybe see you there!
Is there any bullying in Imperial college London?
Currently doing first year mech eng at Imperial. If you need any advice/info for first year lemme know :)
Did you have to do an admissions test and how was you interview?
how are u finding the course?
Is it ok not doing a level maths
Hey do you think 6 9’s 4 8’s and a 7 in further maths is good enough for Cambridge? Was supposed to sit my exams this year… but couldn’t due to corona
7 in further maths is rather poor for Cambridge but it should do. Cambridge doesn’t really care about GCSEs especially for you since you didn’t do the exams. If you do well in your A levels (2-4 A*) then you have a decent chance.
Yeah I agree with @hounten that the GCSEs don’t matter as much (they still matter somewhat) but those grades are solid enough, so you’ll definitely have a chance :)
Jake please reply, is it helpful if I learn helpful vocab for GCSE English and other subjects or is it ok?
What sort of vocab?
@@JakeClarke omg you finally replied, look is there somewhere else I could DM you because I want to get 9s at everything I don't want to do it by working alot and burning my self out but I want to do it effectively.
Hey, could you share the interviewer's name?
man. I'm fifteen (birthday at the end of the year )hoping to do aerospace in the future, but honestly this is terrifying since I don't have as good of grades that you got. too bad I started revision rather late.
Did you have to do a entrance exam to get the interview or not? I'm in 11 and I'm just curious to know.
Not for imperial no, only for Cambridge :)
@@JakeClarke thanks
Hi I’m in yr12 and looking to do engineering , what extra curricular activities or courses did you do to support you?
What unis are you apply to? I am also applying to engineering this year
Hey Jake, which college did you apply to for Cambridge?
I applied to St Catherine’s :)
What sort Of GCSE grades would you need to get into imperial college? I'm hoping to study Engineering (mechanical) at imperial
They really don’t care about the GCSE grades that much as they only want to see A*A*A in A levels if you doing mechanical engineering minimum
Alright Jake, I’ve got my civil engineering interview next week at imperial thanks for the tips
Wow, Jake! All A* 🤯
Hope I also make the A* on Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Further!
Your channel has actually been one of my best recent discoveries as a Y12 that doesn’t really know what to study later on uni! This is gem content for me and my future!
Honestly love that! And I’m sure you’ll get them :)
yesss
❤️
Hey Jake, I have been invited for an interview by Imperial for Mech Engineering and how would you advice me to prepare? It’s on the 20th of Jan.
what alevels so u study and what are preds?
So I’d recommend going over everything in your ps and writing an explanation of how that experience has helped develop your understanding of engineering or just going more in depth into it and making sure that if it comes up you have a lot more that you can say about it. Then I’d also have examples of things that you have done to prove your skills (eg presentations for communication, projects for teamwork etc). Finally just look over your mechanics work and make sure that you have a decent understanding of it all. Other than that you should be fine! Good luck 🙌🏽
my interview is on the same day hahaha (for mech eng too) good luck to you!
@@jasminejones3648 good luck to you as well!

Hey Jake,
I had my interview for Aeronautical Engineering on the same day as you, and also got my offer a few weeks ago!
2021@ICL? 😂
Could be bro 🤩
I’m interested to hear about where you are thinking so maybe message me on Snapchat? 🤷🏽♂️
@@JakeClarke Sure, would love to. Ive added you now
Hi, Did you get your interview invite after the AMAT? as I have applied for the same course I am genuinely curious. Hope you can guide me on this. Thank you
@@mehakkhanani6816 yeah about two weeks after the test I got an invitation
Got a question? What do u wanna do for a job?
At the moment I’m thinking an automotive engineer in F1 but that might change ahahaha
Thats a great goal! I failed mocks yr 10 and your videos are motivating me to get back to the best grades I can achieve!
That’s what we like to hear!! You’ve got this 🙌🏽
Hii. Did you have to do a group task? I applied for biomedical engineering and received an email today with the information about the interview. It said there was a group task. Thanks!
omg omg I just got that email today!! How was the group task, and what exactly was it??
@@puddleduck1405 My interview was for BME students so they may change depending on the course. We had 2 group activities.
In the first one, we were shown 4 graphs, and we had to discuss what type of graph we thought they were (exponential, linear, sinusoidal, etc.) and how could we relate each of them to biology (enzyme activity, blood tests, etc.).
In the second activity, we were given a case and had to discuss about it. In our case, it was about giving out vaccines in underdeveloped countries, and we were given like 8 features the vaccine should have and we had to rank them in order of importance (it should last x days, it should be maintained without refrigerators, etc.). In this part there is no right or wrong answer, it is just your opinion.
The interviewers were in the call observing our interactions, and if they thought someone did not talk enough they asked them questions. They just want to see how you think and work in group, but don't worry. I thought I had not talked enough compared to other people in my team but I still got in!
Good luck!
@@lenaa180 omg thank you so much, that's so helpful! Also you/people in your group do biology A-level? bcos these seem like very biology related and I dont do bio. I was told that the questions depend on your subjects (I do maths, further maths, chem and physics), so hopefully mine will be less bio related lol. Congrats on getting in btw!
@@lenaa180 Hey what did they ask on the 1 to 1 interview??
@@puddleduck1405 I don’t really know hehe but i don’t think it matters much
My friend had an interview in Cambridge vfor engineering asked questions on electricity
What did he apply for?
Did they mention anything related to electricity in the personal statement? Cambridge seems to read everything on your personal statement.
