So wonderful hearing these older songs! I'm working on your video of A Summer Song by Chad & Jeremy. You play it with Em, which I can't play cleanly. I'm hoping I can use Bm and also figure out how many strums to give each chord. Thanks for all the videos! You have great taste in music!
We often have trouble with chord fingerings. The first thing we do is try a different key. Another possibility is to see if the chord can be played as a barre chord. I do this with the Bb and the Gm7 chords, I can't hold them in the traditional manner. The other possibility is to transpose it down and use a capo. For example you could transpose the song to F and put a capo on the second fret. Sometimes I want to use a capo in there videos but I don't think that many ukulele players have one. As far as strum count, for that song, 2 counts for each chord in the intro and all the verses. The bridge is 4 counts per chord with the exception of the Em over "fall", that one is 8 counts. Thanks for watching our videos! Keep strumming!
@@hksansei - Thank you so much for the tips on chord fingerings! I do have a capo, so I might try that. Also, the strumming info is a huge help! Thanks!
Great rendition! Enjoyed this very much!
