That’s why I loved it….now they’re pulling a Naruto and I am so annoyed. It’s good….but just not as consistently exciting. Each episode season 2 feels soooo slow plot wise and yet short in terms of what we get to see each week
The detailed art and wild fight choreography are super memorable , just love the all around increase in quality we’ve been getting this season. The animation n compositing has been so sexy 😩
@@drdocks.t8188 Nah season 1 was way better and I didn't felt any choppyness in season 1 unlike this season which is utterly disappointing I feel bad for the animators working overtime but due to mappa executives pressuring they can't give thier best ghosting and dimming were done by broadcasting channels I know lol but it was too wasn't present on season 1 juat see the difference between domain expansion in both the seasons Gojo Sukuna and Mahito's domain looks so much better and complete in season 1 rather than this season Sukuna's domain was trash in the episode and artstyle is just horrible can't even take serious battle seriously because of the artstyle some fights like Yuji vs Choso and Toji vs Dagon that's all in my opinion Season 1 (top tier) and 0 movie >>>>season 2(low tier)
One of the noticable difference is in the uniforms. season 1 uniforms has a more purple and bright shades whereas season 2 animations is adapted to new animation styles which makes the anime more realistic. Like Dragon ball broly one,
God if mappa was able to take their time and release what they wanted to instead of what they had to in the very short time frame they are given, it would look even more unreal than it does
While season 2 is more cinematic with better character design and better backgrounds, season 1 is more focus on the rythme and going along with the soundtrack (wich is very effective). I will say that season 2 direction is better overall in terms of visuals (at least for now, right mappa?) but season 1 do a better job at hyping scenes and making them impactful.
Im dropping this series. Only reason i even picked up this series was the 1st seasons animation. The movie was phenominal, but if this is the direction theyre going then i have no interest to continue investing my time consuming jjk.
I prefer season 1's animation more but season 2 is still pretty good. One thing I wish they didn't do a lot of though is use 2D backgrounds because it feels like they're sacrificing some sakuga to have that 2D background , season 1 had mostly 3D backgrounds and I think that definitely saved time and energy to use for more sakuga scenes
3d Background in s1 were horrible and handicapped the action. While s2 has ridiculous amount of background animation somehow while having tighter schedule.
In Season 2, the animation prominently follows the Kanada style, characterized by its emphasis on pose-to-pose movements and strong key drawings. This style allows for the use of fewer drawings than usual, and at times, animators choose to animate on 3's to achieve the desired effect. On the contrary, Season 1 leaned towards choreographed complex movements with distinct linear actions. The Kanada style animation, while excellent for emphasizing key poses, presented challenges when integrated with 3D backgrounds, which results in using 2D background animations for this season. In S1, the choreography style allowed for better integration of 3D backgrounds, although the execution didn't meet expectations. btw S2 has more sakuga than S1 but its just following different artistic approach which not many people are a fan of.
@@iomar224 I wanted to say the sakuga for season 1 was mostly in its second half. I think the execution was pretty good especially in the school tournament. Episode 16, 17, 18 imo is the best utilization of the 3D background style with smooth animation. Particularly episode 17. I guess they are pros and cons with each style and I can't wait to see what JJK season 2 has to offer for its second half.
Jujutsu kaisen season 2 is actually soo unlucky it's insane to think about. Production issues going on behind the scenes are very bad, some core animators(Hironori Tanaka, Kouki Fujimoto, Ryu Nakayama and Yoshihara) of Seshimo lineup choose to work on other shows(Frieren) instead of jjk, different director so approach and character designs are very different from previous season and on top of that even if they do manage to make a good episode with good sakuga cuts, most of those will get "dimmed" and "ghosted". And since normies don't know about ghosting, they will obviously blame the studio saying s2 is a downgrade compared to s1. Just feels sad that one of the best arcs in shonen history is receiving this kind of treatment.
@@zooidiotgaming5784 remember Yuji vs Grasshopper fight in episode 8 which was a blurry mess? That's ghosting and it ruins the cut. It's not done by the studio or the animators, its done by tv broadcasters. But those rules don't apply to streaming services yet they still release ghosted episodes on crunchyroll instead of original versions.
season 1 was real perfection season 2 in terms of animation and artstyle is too mid and average and nothing new tbh Sung hoo park has given his all in season 1 and 0 movie

Bad compositing, horrible cgi background that are not well integrated with 2d animation and below average direction are not small issues.ufotable is known for how polished their work is and the compositing in their shows plays major part.
@@skreal-yh5mt Todo vs hanami has janky cuts that move awkwardly and todo vs mahito has more shinya ohira style which i get is not everyones cup of tea but that dosent mean its not well animated, the cuts move well imo

Season 1 animation was way better than season 2. Darker and that was beautiful. I think as a fans we should do something to make mappa bring back this art style even if we have to wait a bit longer
While I do like both seasons, the animation errors in season 2 are unforgivable. Maybe if Mappa workers weren’t being treated like slaves we wouldn’t have these errors and overuse of smear lines but as it is I don’t like season 2s animation.
I hated the art style of 1st season, idk why but the purplish style wasn’t mine thing, the animation was on point but the whole art style of anime’s 1st season was really dark and purple I couldn’t make myself watch it
The only thing I actually miss from season one is the fighting scene's music, used to be way more energetic
