- Passover has ended and this video is the day after Passover when I am putting my kosher kitchen back together. I show you moufletta, the traditional food eaten at the Mimouna celebration in Morocco, and take you along as I clean things up and rearrange my kitchen after the Passover holiday. I also answer the question about why we sell food for Passover and tell you all a crazy story that prevented me from filming the shlissel challah, the key challah, that is traditional to bake for the Shabbat after Passover. Thank you for coming along as I show you what like is like for me as an Orthodox Jewish mom.

Actually have a question-
If an orthodox woman covers her hair once she is married but then she gets widowed or divorced, does she uncover her hair til she is married again?
@@ArtingFromScratch great question, in my experience divorced or widowed women still cover their hair. There are of course exceptions.

Baruch Hashem! I'm so happy that you and your children and the other Moms and children are safe! BH,the police arrested the people doing this! Too many times, the suspects are gone by the time the police get there. Thank you to all of the first responders who got there quickly enough to secure the area and ensure that everyone was safe!

I had to rewatch it to make sure the video was cut - at first sight it looked like you closed to door on Baby Firefly in the laundry room. 😲 (He toddled in and we never saw him coming out again before you closed the door 😆)
And later in the video it looks like Baby Firefly closes the door on you in the pantry. 😂
That parking lot incident - I'm so glad everyone was safe in the end and that those people were arrested. How scary!

My day is going pretty good❤. We bought our dream condo almost 4 years ago when I was 36. We are hoping to be here for a very long time. Our neughbors are mostly 80s and 90s which i love❤. The mowers came today for us🎉

Oh my gosh how scary! I’m glad no one got hurt. When my daughter was young she went to day care or my parents watched her and many times after I picked her up we would need to stop off at a store. When we would get back in the car at the store she had a habit of “goofing around” maybe looking for a toy she had in the car and not sitting in her car seat right away. I’d be standing there waiting for her to get in and sat down. Finally I started telling her as we walked out of the store “you get in the car, you sit in your seat quickly” because in our city there had been a few car jackings of women alone trying to get into their cars with kids and one child was actually taken in the stolen car. Thankfully the car was quickly abandoned and the child was found safe. Scary times we are in

It was interesting, on Friday I did Instacart. I wanted Salami. The shopper was like, it's against my religion. I figured he was Muslim. Muslims don't eat pork. He gave me a refund though. I went to Trader Joe's today. I'm all stocked up right now. And I went through and organized my fridge tonight. Glad you are back. :)
Wow, sounds like that person is in the wrong line of work then, I hope you were able to get the salami you wanted some other way.

So glad your family’s Passover was wonderful. I am so glad you and all your friends and their children are safe. Thank you Lord! That must have been so scary! My heartbeat picked up as you were telling it. I told my children (and now my grands) -if you can’t see me, I can’t see you. I want(ed) them to play freely but safely! There are so many dangers and people suffering from mental health issues are at an all time high. Prayers continue for Israel and all the craziness taking place these days. My game day decision was that next year we will use paper plates because it’s just so much work to wash all the dishes by hand. I will regret this next year when I feel wasteful for using paper but right now I’m over it haha

My dad's dryer broke over the weekend, so we went to the laundromat today. It helped. I did a load on Saturday, but I had one left to do today. Got it taken care of. Are you allowed to have pad Thai? I love mine with shrimp. You can also make it with chicken, my dad likes his with chicken, we had that today. Guess what? My dad is getting solar panels next Monday. I'm happy for them. Also, I filled out paperwork today for my housing voucher, I'll probably be here another year. Such a relief.

Yes! Place a tea towel /sheet over the dishes and other items placed up there. Honest, I do this, it works and it's a time/work saver..

I understand why the dishes get boxed (dust!), however, if you tape the sides of the boxes and cut out the bottoms, you can simply place the boxes over the tops of the plates (same # of plates/box or 1 more!) and keep them "clean" for next passover!

While it seems unsettling to have such an awful incident occur so close to you regarding children, you and others in the community took quick action. Trusting that you are thankful to your divine intelligence for taking quick actions with awareness and grounded, others were alerted. And it was taken care of. This is another experience that you, thankfully, shared with your beloved children and it makes them aware of reality that surrounds us all. You and your family are indeed blessed. Just a thought concerning keeping bread or chametz over Pesach, some Rabbis won't allow it even if it's sold but of course ask your Rav. I know some dire circumstances may allow. @@jaroffireflies that was scary. Do you have any more information. Did they have prior arrest warrants. I worry every time my teen boys go out They stay out late and encounter all kinds of situations. No where is safe anymore.

That incident with your friends in the parking lot must have been very scary. B"H you're all okay. I usually run down all my chometz before Pesach so that I have very little to sell. The downside of that is that I'm still eating Pesach food a week later (apart from challah on Shabbos). But that's fine. Slowly, slowly I'll get back to normal. Thanks so much for posting.

Baby Firefly is so big😊I am happy you have a nice Passover! This situation in the parking was really scary. Good that nothing happened to you. Will you make soon a Q&A video? Another question I am wondering about from some time is about Pesaj. The rules for Hametz are so strict, at least in this moment. It is interesting to know what people were doing back in history because they didn't have dishes neither water at home and it's just interesting how they were preparing themselves for the holiday. It can be interesting to do a research.

With the stupidity happening on college campuses right now who could know what might be happening if you couldn't see the parking lot. The bread looks delicious!!!
