I always wanted to see this knot. I saw this knot when I was in the Mexican Navy. This knot was used as a mat in the entrances of the bedrooms of the sailors and others rooms. Thanks for the vídeo 🇲🇽⚓🚢
When fusing if you cut the end of the cord on a 45 towards the cord your fusing to it sticks better and looks better...thanks for the vid helped me a lot
Ok, I've been watching a few of your videos every day, and I already know about your G Shock, but I'd like some info about the watch you're wearing in this video. If you could help me out with that, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Also, thanks for this video.
I want to know. when making a larger mat with longer cord do the starting knot have to be bigger or do you pull it bigger as you go. have tried it but when go to start tracing I get mixed up and take it all out
Nice video. I only wish there was some instruction for how much rope to measure out before getting started. It sucks wasting so much rope because you didn't cut enough.
Doesn't work for me because as I'm weaving I'm losing space/gap in the inner section of the piece. Am I that thick? I'd say it's hard to estimate the size/spaces of the initial shape
Have you (or anyone else) ever determined a formula for determining what size and length line and starting knot would eventually lead to a particular size knot in the end? I’m looking to make several of these for mats of a specific size for in the various places in my sailboat.
Hello, I like handcrafts made of rope. I wonder if you can show me how I do this little ball a form that I can use as a plant vase. like the model I saw in Pinterest.
And Nylon/paracord is great...... unless you're using these for hot pots ect. . Nylon burns/melts. Hot applications need manilla, jute, hemp, or Sisal.

Awesome, this is one my favorite series on RUclips. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for this video.
Looks good. Would make a great night stand pocket dump mat.
A really good book of knots is the Ashley Book Of Knots. Over 600 pages and 4,000 knots. The only book you'll ever need.

Should the starting loop be bigger the more wraps you intend to put into this, or does it grow as you put more wraps into it?
The starting loop should be bigger if you want to make the mat bigger. It's hard to expand the starting loop.
if you only use the blue flame on the lighter it does not leave that blackness?
Excellent. thank you
it's awesome.. stile n comfort desgine.
Can you use this pattern with nylon half-inch rope? And how would you connect the ends like you brazed the nylon parachute cord?
How do you tighten the mat if it’s too loose before you fuse the ends?
how long did this take?

A safe bet is about enough line to cover the area with 2 layers.
That's awesome.

nice, but what's it used for?
It is used for a door mat or a smaller one is used for a crock pot or pan
cool thanks
You smack your drunk buddies with it in the face.
I take it... it's happened to you a few times lol ;-) just kidding
NIce Red Teams shirt
If you could mount your camera from the top instead of off to the side we could see better.
You could just keep fusing on another length of cord on the wrong side until you have as many turns as you need....
Interesting
Cool
Кто знает, из какого материала изготовлено?
I hope google can translate this, 550 paracord (polyester parachute cord)
