Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for addressing the shipping fees and availabilty issue. As a fellow smaller market makeup fiend, I find it incredibly annoying to have to pay higher prices (due to exchange rates), more for shipping and having to wait weeks/months for things to arrive. Not to mention the great sales the US gets and having most, if not all, brands shipping to the US. Some take it for granted that they get Merit, Hourglass, Cle de Peau, Chantecaille etc but often ON SALE! We sure don't. Without our crappy Sephora, we'd be lost with mainstream brands. As for indie, I often have to source locally from creators who resell on Ebay etc to afford basic Colourpop, Glamlite and Ace Beaute etc. I am hoping we get a Monolith type retail store here in Australia.
Even Monolith isn't that accessible for everyone either. I am from an even smaller market and makeup sales are never a thing and the majority of brands available are not sold anywhere I live. I have to order 90% of what I show here online. Even brands that are readily available as stores are always behind.
Such a nice brand, I own three palettes and the Smoke n mirrors is my fave! Cannot wait to get the new one in the future!! Totally can relate to what you said about individuals in the US... Happy we have Glossgods and Glamshop ☺️
Hi Maaike, I was just so happy to recently be gifted the First Gal on Jupiter palette, and it is so nice! Thank you for all your cool toned eyeshadow reviews!
Yes the palettes sell out fast, but you can sign up to be notified when the palette comes back in stock which is very helpful. It's how I snatched up the Color of Rain.
Im in Australia I understand completely the shipping fee thing and the lengthy waiting for your order to arrive . These palettes are gorgeous , I definitely need to check out their site. I really loved the smoke and mirrors , maybe we might be lucky and get a Smoke n Mirrors 2 . Sending love and good health from Queensland , Australia 🇦🇺
Hi Maaike I think the palettes are really pretty and I understand why you’re excited about them. The Smoke and Mirrors was the one I liked the look of most, but the gal on Jupitar looks really nice too. I looked at the website a couple of months ago and it was £28 for shipping to the UK, yet I see someone in the comments saying it was $15 shipping to Florida which seems strange so maybe I will have another look in case they have revamped their shipping. It did seem excessive when I order from European brands fairly frequently and have never been hit with that extortionate shipping before. I don’t mind paying a reasonable amount but £28 is a lot IMO. I would expect that from a US indie brand perhaps but not an EU. Best wishes x Ps I just went on the website and they have changed their shipping to £7 tracked and £15 insured which is far more in line with other brands.
As brands grow they can usually get better deals with shipping companies. That's why a brand like Colourpop can offer $10 flatrate shipping for international companies, while other indie brands have to shop by weight. If they generate more money, the companies can carry some of the shipping costs for their customers and they can offer more affordable shipping options. But there is no such thing as free shipping. In the end someone pays: the customer, the brand, or the workers at the shipping companies.
Ya that was me complaining in the last vid about glossgods shipping to US one pallet with international shipping was about 70$ 😂 I didn't think about things from your guys perspective lol international shipping for anyone is crazy expensive..(btw I still grabbed the gal on Jupiter even tho it cost almost 70 bucks to get it here lol)
@@FloatinginDreams as cool toned loving gals I had to get it! I'm forever on the hunt for my perfect everyday cool toned pallet..looking forward to ur vid on the gal on Jupiter!
On BF I bought Gal on Jupiter, Gal on Moon, Gal on Mars, and New Neutrals Remixed, and free shipping, so I picked up what looked good to me. And really wanted to see if it was worth it. The New Neutrals has 3 repeat shades Cute Stuff is in the (Gal on Jupiter), Center stage is the same as Hypatia's Halo (Gal on Jupiter), and Feelin Famous is in the (Gal on Mars) Light year. I do not like when a brand reuses shades in palettes, very lazy. The palettes are shimmer heavy which I like, I have tons of good matte eyeshadows. The shimmer and duochromes are good. I think if you are in Europe it is probably good to buy these, because of shipping and everything else. But for me in the US, there is just a better selection to choose from, than Gloss Gods. After using GG, I prefer EnsleyReign, Bellabeautebar, adept, Fantasy Cosmetica, Terramoons, and Touch of Glam. Gloss Gods did ship fast and nothing was damaged. The packaging is cardboard but the artwork is lacking and wish more brands would do a better job on that. I am not mad at my purchase, but I am disappointed in the repeat shades. Overall the Gal on Mars and Gal on Moon are the standouts.
Meanwhile, I'm in the US pining over brands like this and Tammy Tanuka, Bernovich, Clionadh, Cosmic Brushes, Kaleidos, Karla, Pastel Roses, Glamshop, and Glaminatrix 😅 Thank you for sharing what you've got from this brand, I've got the What's Your Power palette and I love it, I still really want to eventually get my hands on the Gal On the Moon palette and maybe a few others.
For most of the brands you mentioned I either have to pay loads of shipping or I have to go through special websites or they aren't available at all. The US has far better options for makeup shopping than anywhere in the world. Kaleidos are super easy to get if you're in the US: it's an American company that ships directly from China.
I had been wanting to try GlossGods because you talked about Smoke and Mirrors last year… but I didn’t try them out until a few months ago and I was not disappointed. I don’t mind the shipping fees, but I make sure I make it worth my while. I think I got free shipping when I made my first purchase because I ordered 4, and I recently ordered during the Black Friday sale. (My palettes shipped and arrived before my Glamlite order did too … and I’m in L.A 😂) I kinda wish I had waited though because I want Gal on Jupiter
@marthao3514 how long did it take for you to get your package? I’m in the US and I really want to order but don’t want to wait like 2-4 weeks for delivery.
@@valeriecontreras435 it took about 2 weeks. I had to check the tracking on my last order. The brand sends it pretty quickly, it just takes a while to arrive, clear customs etc.

I am so happy about having indie brands that are more EU focused.
And your eye look is stunning 💕

I wanted that smoke and mirrors but ppl are reselling it on 2nd hand apps for about 100$!! No waaay!
That is way too much! Might be better to wait for the brand to bring it back.
I'm a teacher too!😂
