It is nice to see a lift. Totally different ballgame working at night and with a 14 metre extended crane or daytime lifting 4t containers from weird angles or in the middle of the countryside road with traffic marshals.
This is like the the job i have started now after passing my class 2 :) just been trained on the Crane today so ill be out delivering these things soon :)
@@mikeh2006 Oh yes :) its really good fun to just be out in the truck no one pestering me and get to play with a big crane too :) its like a big toy :)
@@grahamhardyvanlife5704 oh i know, never driven these myself but I have been a passenger many times in rigids and artics so ive seen how difficult it can be first hand
It was a 1430, I think it can handle a bit more weight than the 1420. I will say the HMF Cranes are all so so good. Bit temperamental at times but super smooth to use.
@@ExceptforAccess I'll agree on the temperamental side of things with these cranes. That said, the engineers came and fixed the one on my own truck, which turned out to be wires trapped between the front panel and the case, causing a short circuit and the crane to constantly throw out the E480 and E479 error codes.
I would recomend only been doing it for little over 2 months but its much more enjoyable than my old office job :) I mean .. its a hydraulic crane .. on the back of a truck what's not to enjoy
I enjoy merchant work, have had a go at class 1, but have a young family so it's ideal being home in the evenings for me. Do miss the big motors though. Thanks for uploading these, it's nice to see how other grab drivers do the job.
Good job mate. I’ve been working for Travis Perkins as an agency driver on the hiabs. Really enjoying working for them. Keep up the good work.
Interesting I hope my delivery is as smooth at that this morning . Thanks for sharing.

That was actually relaxing to watch

Aren’t you supposed to press the clutch down when engaging or disengaging the pto ?
Nicely done there fella. I assume your using a HMF 1420, at least by the looks of it. Same as what us Jewson lot use.

Are you supposed to be lifting them that way? Always thought they were meant to be lifted off the tunnel sleeves or lifting loops?
