GOOD CHANNEL ! GOOD CHANNEL !... I do love your US English teaching. I just begin to learn with you. Best wish to you and your family. Thanks very much from Cambodia
Yes, the first R in 'February' is often replaced with a [j] sound (so the second syllable sounds the same as the second syllable for 'January'). I can't say that I consistently hear the first R dropped in 'laboratory'.
Rachel, you've been so great. I am a Customer Care Specialist serving a telco account in the US and your topics are very relevant. I am learning a lot. Thank you so much! God bless you always. ;)
There really is almost no difference (ʌ can be in a stressed syllable, which means the jaw will drop more), but I did make a video a couple of years ago on the Three UH Sounds. Check it out!
I´ve been speaking English for 20 years and I feel like I´m learning it all over again with Rachel. Thanks so much!!! I really appreciate you trying to help us to pronounce words properly

Hi Rachel! I am from Ukraine and always with your channel! It helps me improve my spoken English so much indeed! And I have recommended it to many people, so hopefully, your audience will get bigger. And by the way, you have mentioned that 5th May is your birthday. If it is so, belated happy birthday! Keep doing this very helpful work for people who want to have right sound in English!
Hi Rachel, your exercises and videos really help a lot in improving my speaking ability. In fact I have downloaded already most of them. Thank you so much and God Bless!
I lived in Towson, the county seat of Baltimore County, for five months in 1996.I adore American accent. You are doing a good job, Rachel. I am not exaggerating when I say "As a teacher, Rachel is the second to none" I wish you all the best. God bless you and bless all American teachers.
Hi Rachel, i'm a student from Egypt i love your channel and tell my freind about you..so thanks for your efforts and keep going..finally i hope to be your friend
I love you teacher Rachel. . mwah mwah.. thanks a lot for helping us how to pronounce and you teaching us letter by letter and sellable by sellable. mwah mwah.. once again.. I love you.
Even though I was born and raised in the US, I really enjoy your videos, Rachel. The English language is a real passion of mine. I did want to make one note on this video, however. You called out that there are two ways to pronounce February in American English, but you didn't call out that December can have two different forms as well. If I start a sentence with December, I tend to use a long "e" in "De." Later in a sentence, it becomes a shorter "e" sound in "De." Very nice series!
+Rachel's English thank u for u posted this video about prononciation, I have request to you give me tips and how to improve my prononciation thanks Again
Its amazing. I learn bloody a lot from your video. Not easy for me to take access to youtube as it is restricted in China. Anyway, I have been having a great time learning from you. Merry Christmas and best wishes from China.
Hi Rachel, You are welcome! Do you know why "R" became silent? Question: Do you have Michigan ties? I think one of your earlier video was shot during vacation in Upper Michigan... Best, Albert
