The center pit where all the rebar is being installed is for the portico where all the cars drop off passengers. The new tower is off to the right where the blue cranes are drilling pylons.
To those who only saw the initial renderings of how the Hard Rock Las Vegas would look when it opens in spring 2027, this is gonna hurt. As we told you right after the Mirage closed its doors last July, the cherished atrium won't survive the transition. And right now, cranes on the site are seeing to that.
IMHO they couldn't have intended to use any structural part of the old atrium. I don't know why they kept it for so long. My best guess was that was the safest way to tear down a dome with so much weight at the top. After they supported the top part, the engineers would probably need to triple check to make sure it would come down safely. As far as it being gone for good, there's no more no less evidence for a dome than there was before. Tearing it down first was always going to happen.
Hello Raiders are they still going to build the basketballs Stadium and casino and resort over at riot Casino and resort with day club and nightclub or it’s been cancel that protect
It still could come back, I think they were just taking it down, just for safety when the other tower is built, I say it will be back after the guitar tower is built because you never know how they are going to connect them and building code update, you don’t want a guitar tower to connect to a old part of building that is not sound. I think it will be back and new and improved. I could be wrong intil hard rock releases a new rendering of the hotel
Hi Duntov, The blue pieces laying on the ground are not part of the crane, they are concrete pumping towers that will continually rise as the building rises, 15 minutes into this video you will see an example of this, bit is the white tower in the video ruclips.net/video/4Fdm05So1FY/видео.htmlsi=0ptcOV--tWlnINWc. In this next video you will see how the crane rises with hydraulics. ruclips.net/video/Hv4JyPIPWy0/видео.htmlsi=edKvUES5Fi8y3Do9

Thank you Duntov for the update. I always look forward to your posts.
I appreciate you watching!
Thank you for the update.
I did see the picture on Las Vegas Facebook page I’m glad you talked about that thanks for another great video
The tower crane basically built themselves. Bringing up new sections after they use a smaller crane for the initial setup.

Excellent foootage
good video. I think the Mirage was fine and beautiful as it was. a room renovation would have been enough. sad to see old cool places go.
Duntov.... The rebar assembled and laying on the ground, and what they were working on that was standing vertical is called a "rebar cage".
Thanks for posting ! Viva Las Vegas and the new Hard Rock Guitar Hotel
I don’t like heights either appreciate all your videos went back and watch allegiant stadium videos for old time sake lol
16:05 yes, those are the inside forms, they will put the outside forms on after he's gone tying it up, then they pour between like a wall.
I think the crane will grow with the building. As the building gets taller they will add sections to the crane and then the crane will jack itself up.
I believe they are replacing the legs on the Atrium.. Otherwise they would of just lifted off the center. They are holding it in place.

25:06 Applying vinyl to the windows... I wonder what that is about?
Testing the different colors and how they look inside and out with the gold permanent tint
They assemble the crane to certain height then when they need to rise up the crane adds piece by jacking up to insert another piece
thank you. Next time could you show the pool I’m curious
That was his last video. It’s amazing how things can be erased.
@ yeah

The tower cranes usually rise with the building
Its probably easier to wrap the glass then replacing every piece. Curtain wall glass can be very time consuming with removal and replacing of glass.
Am i the only one that hates the noise that those screens at venetian makes?

I haven't heard anything else about the new basketball stadium at the Rio.
Anybody know what happened to the aquarium behind the front desk?
I heard that they moved all of the fish to a new aquarium at the Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay.
Look like they are covering up the window so they can paint the gold trim all around the windows
They are testing the new color and how it looks when put on the permanent gold tinted glass
And the Raiders hire Pete Carroll.
