Those games are built to be hard but also built with a pathway to beating them if you can learn and get good enough at them. Survivor just felt like they made it hard so they could call it a souls like and have people talk about how hard it is. I think the optimal difficulty to play it on is master, cause while it’s still challenging it’s not so much of a pain in the ass to get through that you get pulled out of the story.

The Imperial Hangar on Koboh and the Imperial room with waves of enemies near the end of the game(I can’t remember the name) were some of the most infuriating rooms ever, and don’t even get me started on Rayvis.

Simple blaster shots put you down to 1 shot health and red unblockable attacks have the potential to kill you instantly depending on the type of enemy. I’m 2 hours into my 2nd play through on grandmaster and I’ve barely progressed in coruscant. Very infuriating for sure
GM was a lot of fun, but Survivor is WAY more janky than Fallen Order. I had plenty of infuriating moments because an attack just randomly misses or you're stuck in block stun for WAY too long and die from a second enemy doing a red attack. Oh and whoever thought it was a good idea to create a force tear with double oggdo boggdos & rancors needs to fucking commit sudoku
LMAO Also at the Rancor second death montage "I have beaten better". Whilst dying over and over to this Rancor my life flashed before my eyes. My life of bosses I conquered like 3 hours of Nameless King, Fume Knight from DS2, Artorias, Genichiro, Owl Father, Isshin Gwyn Lord of Bullshit. This commentary couldn't be more spot on. Thanks for the haircut advice. I changed the haircut and my gameplay has now improved.
There’s a ton of bones around the rancor arena that you can pick up using the force and throw at the rancor to get it stuck in its mouth, it’ll stagger so you can do damage
You’ve no idea the amount of times I actively stood too close to NPC’s during their dialogue 😂 So much so that I thought my relationship with Moran was going somewhere special

Actually there is the purity perk that makes GM difficulty much better. The damage gets so high that the lightsaber can kill 2-3 shot most of the bosses. Of course Cal dies 1-3 too, but its still a fair perk mostly.

I have collected 90% of the items, almost 100% exploration, killed everything on grandmaster, and yet elden ring is harder(and funner). never took me more than 30 min to kill a boss/rancor/mire boss, and took me about 42 hours to finish.
As someone who is also playing through grand jedi master difficulty i should probably give you a heads up for later. There is a 2 stage boss which will run your shit in the second stage with constantly regenerating health. You will miss Raymond. I have yet to beat him. GL
Is that a side quest boss or something? I don't remember a boss that could regenerate health. Maybe I was hitting the boss too often if it is a story one or something.

I haven't tried grandmaster yet. I have worked up the Knight though. It is getting easier, so Once I finish the game again, I may up the difficulty again because you get tge easier tutorial section to ease into the new way things work.
Did finished in grandmasters difficulty , I do recommend it it’s hard but forgiving . Slightly easier than sekiro in my opinion (since it both include a whole lot of parrying) ,personally recommend the crossguard)
Honestly I thought that it was way too easy for most of the game. Some bosses were too hard, but most were pathetic that just got downed in 10sec. Balancing in this game (at least on JGM) is not great

Grandmaster mode is no joke. Most enemies easily took you out in one hit if you either do not dodge or parry at the exact moment.

With dagan its alot easier to use dual wielding in that encounter bc if you can keep him stunned he attacks a lot less

For me it's blaster and crossguard stance. Blaster is crazy good because you can mix in blaster shots with saber strikes. Also gun parry is Op
