My daughter worked in the lodge about 25 years ago, and my son worked on the fuel dock, it was nice then, kind of sad about the demolition. Thank you, Russ, for this video!
I really enjoyed this video, Russ! Absolutely beautiful scenery and rock formations! 👍👍👍👍👍 I wish you safe travels, Russ. Too cool for school. Talk soon, Alan.
This was a truly gorgeous trip 💕 no other way to describe it. Will definitely be putting Valley of Fire State Park on my to due list. You are not a fossil 😂 Thanks Russ for another great trip 😎👍
Happy Pi day ! 3.14…. Such a beautiful park. Thought of that movie 7 brides for7 brothers … Nice weather there!! Blustery winds keeping me inside. Thanks again for fun adventure
28:45 That is SO PRETTY, 🤩 Russ. I love the red rocks against a blue sky. The road you’re driving on creating a T-shape. Love that open road drive. NICE 👍 work, and yes it is gorgeous, just like you said. ✅
Good news, and major snow fall in the Rocky Mountains more water coming! That drive around Las Vegas, through Valley of Fire is a must do. "YAY" road trip PS I prefer Antique over Fossil. Good job thank you Russ stay safe ALL.
We were at Echo bay two years ago January. The history was interesting, a favorite hangout for Ann Margret, Jason Robards and others back in the day when you could jump in the lake from the back steps. Was interesting because when we were there could hardly see the water from the lodge. We enjoy your videos and comments. Thanks Mr. Russ
17:40 I have seen that entrance station open a few times in recent years. It was on holidays each time. I think once was Memorial Day and once was Labor Day. Speaking of entrance stations, I've seen that east entrance station for Valley of Fire open lots of times. But not as many as the main entrance on the other side. However, now that they have their new reservation system (as of last September), you can expect it to be open all the time during the months when the reservation system is in effect. 37:55 The picnic area where the petroglyphs are, is also a good place to see bighorn sheep. In the evening, they'll come trotting down that trail that passes in front of Atlatl Rock, to take a refreshing drink of water from the water which has pooled in the basin around the water fountain. The Mouse's Tank trail is an excellent place to see more petroglyphs.
Bonjour cher monsieur, j'aimerais bien découvrir avec vous les petites villes et villages dans différents états de votre beau et grand pays les USA . Merci beaucoup ❤
Just finished riding along with you to the Colorado River Basin. Loved the view from the Dam plus seeing Laughlin in the distance. Your trips and "comments" are fantastic ! Thank You !!
Valley of Fire, yeah ! Driving around Las Vegas, good for someone who hates cities but going across LV is not so bad, really. Valley of Fire is halfway up Interstate-15 to Mesquite and the Stateline of Utah (Zion just a few miles away). Anyway a very nice place to visit. Happy trails ! RICHARD
I always enjoy your videos. Especially of the southwest and west coast, where I grew up and did much traveling. I have a suggestion for a quick trip for you: How about checking out the new again lake in Death Valley? As I understand it, it's been many, many years sine the lake last appeared and will likely dry up again soon till who knows when again. Keep up the good work and safe travels!
One final thought. Have you considered a day trip to Death Valley to see Lake Manly? It only comes back about once in a generation, and it will be gone again in a few more months. The Badwater Basin parking area will be crammed full with people who came to see the lake, but there are lots of places to pull over by the side of the road.
Hi thank you for taken all of us along with you so kool , hey I'm Home sick go to Owens valley to my little home town Big Pine and through Bishop ca , . come north 395 to Bridgeport and go to travertine hot springs. go soak yourself very nice one of my best stops going home to Big Pine ...safe travels
Went to Valley of Fire in June, 2023, and stopped to have lunch with my friend. A half dozen mountain sheep kept us company. One big ram climbed the red rock to the right of us, found a spot to lie down, and kept his eyes on us the entire lunch. Then it was back home to St George. Great day!
I've been to the valley of fire a couple of times it is indeed spectacular I like the steps going up to the petroglyphs we were there in the height of covi and there was nobody there
Looks like you may have been there during spring break. I don't travel in March anymore. Seems like there are more people traveling during spring break than in the summer. Thanks for the update on Echo Bay. I was thinking about it the other day. Glad to see the lake is up but sorry to see the lodge gone. It was in such bad shape it would undoubtedly be cheaper to build something new instead of trying to renovate the old one.
I swimming in lake mead when 18,jump off the cliffs into mead. I caught a crape fish on a empty hook and line. We drove there from Roswell, N.M. and went Vegas too but can't gamble in casinos LOL😊😊😅 FUN IN THE SUN
I absolutely love the burro brush near the red rocks of the Valley of Fire. Summer road trip will be here before you know it. It's the middle of March. The older I get the faster time flies.
I love that drive up Northshore Road, and I especially love the Redstone area. I think the most beautiful views are up the Northshore trail a little earlier in the drive. It's kind of steep, but it gives a gorgeous view of all kinds of different colored rock formations off to the west. You'll often see bikers doing Poker Runs who gather at the Redstone area. They'll look like big bad Harley-riding outlaw bikers, but when on a charity run, they're big ol' pussycats.
i bet if u bring me up there on your tours u wont regret ,you would have a partner who would share expense with u which is worth to tell ,although u might not need it now it seems ,but u it makes journey easy if u have partner who has same thoughts and soul to explore the thing .during journey wont let u feel bore .and helps u by holding camera from different locations so u can be hero of the movie. you and I has all basic instinct of soul , moreover its worldwide theory that 1+1=11 for being on expedition 'i hope u know what i mean .

when my parents were in the valley of fire back in the 80s they brought me a rock from the valley of fire....I still have it :)
wow, that is amazing
Last fall I did the Valley of Fire to miss Vegas as it was the Formula 1 weekend, I enjoyed it HOWEVER that road leading to Valley of Fire is rough.
Hey rusty. Liked your video on valley of fire. Wonder of al the kids and people are because of spring break for schools

Howdy Russ. Over 18 inches of snow up here in the Denver area.
Fantastic! Thanks, Russ!

My wife and I love traveling with your Russ.
Enjoyed the ride-along, thanks! ☀🌵🚐
Great video!
Beautiful!!
love going on road trips with you ❤
Glad lakes are coming back out there. It was really depressing a couple of years ago.
And just like that, there is no longer talk about conservation and over building. The talks stop when the rains hit.
Valley Of Fire SP very nice! Thanks Russ.
Grande ressemblance avec mon pays l'Algérie région sud ouest comme boussaada et bechar😊
