    Another brilliant video lads.
    I've picked up so much really useful info from you its really helped me out.
    Had issues with square & repeatable cuts, now the proud owner of the track square & parallel guides.....what a difference!
    Keep the videos coming!
    As for your pole on other interests, I'll be up for bike videos, have a YZ250 myself 👍🏻

    I use excel to create dimensions for standard cabinets, drawers doors etc I just have to punch in the dimensions of the overall size and then have formulas set up to create all the components. This puts them into 2 formats, the first imports straight into Maxcut and the next creates a CSV file that I import into sketch up via the open cut list extensions import parts function that effectively creates a flat pack model that can be quickly moved around to create the model. This helps building quick accurate sketch up models for both sales pitches and construction. The Maxcut is ready to go for both layouts and estimations for materials at a quote stage.
    I invested a little time in getting it set up but it saves so much time drawing and setting up cut lists.

    Tried a few and ‘Open cut list’ is the best sketch up extension I have found and its free, hard to believe as its so good!! Generates cut list, material cost estimates, labelled 3d drawings, individual component labels and more

      Ive tried to cutting list but as far as I understand you need to do your drawing in a certain way to create components?
      I always just make the drawing as a visual only so it never works for me

      Sorry fo the late reply.
      As long as you take it off at some point I dont think it matters, but probably best to rip it off first
      Cheers Ryan

    Do you not use the SketchUp cultist extension for cut lists?

    • @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop
      @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop  Год назад

      No unfortunately not, as I just do my sketch up drawings as visuals only, just looks goof from the front (2d)
