i have been told by one of the top trombone players of today that you should hold your trombone however you find comfortable other wise you'll end up with a bad back when your older hope this puts your mind at ease with this guy.
These guys should boogie on down to New Orleans , they would appreciate you guys ! As would a bunch of places , they just cannot afford the food & Hotel Bills !
Valdir Silva yep today I’ve a completely different setup compred to them but I manages to find the sound I was looking fof, with a comfortable mouthpiece and a quite big horn. And yeah it’s basically that temerity in the air stream and the blow that gives you this awesome trombone sound !
+Anissa Dixon sing into the horn while you play. It is fun and awesome. Rich Matteson from NTSU used to do it in the 1970's - did an album of it - sound of the wasp. Great trombone/Tuba combo album with Phil Wilson and Rich Matteson.
you should try getting a background in music first. that's a fucking tough solo. I'm a tenor sax major in school, I would know. he killed it, not that you'd understand the skills required to pull off something like that. so hush up until you can. thanks.
