I loved when Mr Lavrov Covid-pranked Blinken before starting a major meeting and gave him the elbow when the double standard Blinken reached out with his hand. Lavrov just psychologically FABed Blinken and owned the meeting entirely. I think he is the most skillful diplomat in modern day.

An interesting part of the war is how larger plane-replacing drones have largely been abandoned in favor of cheaper small drones, even suicide drones, as drones are constantly shot down.

Military analyst Valery Shiryaev, who has connections to the Russian Ministry of Defense, says that most likely there will be no full-scale offensives in an attempt to quickly end the war. He says the Russian army's plan is to wear down Ukraine's armed forces and make a slow, creeping advance whenever possible.

Mass surrenders of Ukrainian formations follow one another exponentially along the front. Over time, the contempt on the part of the Ukrainian troops for the regime, which forces martyrdom, in order to hold positions that are impossible to save, is becoming evident, and the absence of functional strategies makes morale full of anger towards the commands that abandon the regiment at the height of the combat.

Also, there are pushes at Belogorovka. All tells me, that Sewersk is the real target of this operation, plus standing there in the outskirts of Slowiansk when this succeed! Thank you for your analysis Weeb. I agree with your assessment of the situation and I think your summary and explanation of the events that occurred so far was great. However, I just don’t see a big Russian offensive happening any time soon, if ever. The only scenario in which I see another big Russian offensive towards a major city like Kiev or Odesa, would be if the Ukrainian army falls apart and the front lines completely break, in which case marching towards the capital would be a swooping operation. I don’t think that’s likely to happen though, especially with Ukrainian army numbering between half a million and a million men in the field.
I believe that the Russians are trying to grind down Ukrainian troops as much as possible and at the same time gain control over as much territory as possible, getting themselves a more favorable position in the negotiations for the eventual peace deal, which btw they are looking to make with the US and the western countries, possibly during Trump’s 2nd administration, if he wins the elections in November.

To address your username, israel did not start it all in 1948. Why? Israel had accepted the un partition plan, but the Arab League did not, so they invaded once the British mandate had expired but somehow lost even though Israel only started receiving minor support from the Eastern bloc following a ceasefire. Once the war had ended, the Arab league still held part of the mandate, but instead of establishing a Palestinian state, Jordan annexed the west bank (gave the inhabitants citizenship) and Egypt placed gaza under military occupation. As can be gathered from what stated before, the Arab league never cared for the establishment of an independent Palestine but only for more land.

To resume this « analysis » . The recent claim about several targets of the RuAF to realize a big style offensives are simple fairy tales. To make « living room » strategy gives nothing. The several tactics of assault described here are completely classical methods since the WW1 .
First : big offensives in large scale implicate ever significant casualties . The political price of this action is also not acceptable for the Russian society and Poutine is aware oh this.
Second : the volume required to get any advantage request at least to mobilize over 2 Millions soldiers and corresponding material and logistics . The Russian are far to have this today available .
Third : this trench warfare with concrete bunkers and mining lands cannot allow a chance to any big style offensive. The defense get ever the victory until today ( see the past stories like Koursk for exemple) .
This attrition war going to continue until the Kiev regime going to crumble . The Russian wants to get Ukraine in their influence and they need a political victory with a regime change in Kiev . All another options remains a non sense. Easy to understand . 😂

One example ist the rule to Always use your chances in war, because you cannot be Sure of the Future Things to come. So a decisive offensive IS possible, qlthough it is Dangerous. But IT IS also Dangerous to give your enemies time to think.
So we will See what comes and my advise to you ist Not Always to think that you can know for Sure what to come. This will make you blind for alternatives or small but important Intel.

War pretty much boils down to numbers.
Technology and tactics will only get so far, as the enemy adapt and learn.
As we see in this war
Russia failed at the beginning with a smaller and better equipped force. People laughed at the 350k mobilized Russian conscripts, but they defeated Ukraine’s NATO trained and equipped brigades. All the high tech game changer achieved some level of success but all too few in number to change the game.

Russian War heroes: Viktor Savvinov had already been imprisoned several times for various crimes - including robbery, auto theft and assault - when he murdered a female drinking companion during a quarrel in 2020, stabbing her in the chest with four knives.
A court in Russia’s Siberian region of Yakutia sentenced him to 11 years in a maximum-security prison. So when recruiters from the private Wagner mercenary group offered him freedom and a clean slate if he deployed to fight in Ukraine, Mr. Savvinov, a morgue orderly, seized the opportunity.
By February, Mr. Savvinov had completed his service and was back in his native village of Kutana. That month, on Defenders of the Fatherland Day, he was staggering drunk around the snowy streets, residents said, complaining loudly that villagers showed him insufficient respect as a veteran. The next night, he murdered two of them, according to a law enforcement report, striking a male drinking buddy dead with a metal crowbar before killing his own estranged aunt, who lived next door, by axing her in the head, and then torching her wooden house.

9:43 If that's your source I'm not surprised by your comments. Just bear in mind that the Special Military Operation may be the first example in history of a successful offensive with a ratio of one against three, in general it's the opposite, even five against one in the Soviet doctrine!

You do remember in past years you talking about a summer offensive that never happened, right? What has changed for you to sell this other than to maintain interest in a "Wag the Dog" war? How could a summer offensive even take place when all the bridges over the Dnieper River that would get all the NATO support to the East of Ukraine not destroyed? Which bridges? Including the Romanian bridge to Odessa and the Tunnel of Love from Poland, they are:
Amurskyi Bridge, Antonivka Railway Bridge, Antonivka Road Bridge, Harbour Bridge (Kyiv), Kaidatsky Bridge, Merefa-Kherson bridge, Kyiv Metro Bridge, New Darnytskyi Bridge, New Zaporizhzhia Dniper Bridge, Paton Bridge, Pivdennyi Bridge (Kyiv), Pivnichnyi Bridge, Preobrazhensky Bridge, Tsentralny Bridge, Zaporizhzhia Arch Bridge
    Don't bullshite a bullshiter, bro.

to my mind...if russians want to lunch a large scale offencive....that will happen ONLY when certain preconditions are met.
    1) ukrainians are substantially out of munitions and as a result large scale opperations become more safe.
    2) ukrainian survalance and FPV drones are decisively sopressed ( either by lack of funding and/industrial capacity , or by efficient sopression by ellectronic warfare ).
without theese preconditions..t's not realistic to talk about large scale opperations
