I have come up with this conclusion after watching KGF Chapter 2 once again and I made some serious observations in some particular scenes of this movie. I might be wrong in some parts too because this is just my point of view.
KGF team knows it well that there won't be any
excitement if the character itself is dead and people won't be interested in his past either. So, Rocky isn't dead here. He will survive! That's the reason the director gave us hints about Chapter 3 as well.Remember when Prakash Raj said that Rocky was about to execute his biggest plan? They never showed us what his biggest plan really was. Well let me tell you this was a part of his biggest plan.
Acting dead was a part of his biggest plan. And if you remember when rocky met Ramika Sen face to face he even says “I usually try to avoid wars, but If you really want it to happen I'll be the one who is going to win", and he was indeed right here.
Why would he lose to her if he said this?
We already know that Rocky was not just a strong and powerful criminal he was very intelligent and clever too. He always thinks a step ahead of everyone. We even saw this in chapter 1 and chapter 2 as well. Have you ever wondered
why he dug out all the gold from 9 mine sectors in just 2 years where as Suryavardhan took 25 years for the same. What was the reason for his urgency. So did he do all this to just go carry this in a ship and crash it, and lose all of this and die? Of course not. Yes this was exactly for the same plan he was about to execute. His aim is to get the world as he says in the part of this movie “world is my territory” He even wants to fulfill his mother's Promise of becoming very rich. It is obvious that he won't die after all of this. He is planning something really big in his mind and he is executing his biggest plan.
If you have watched this movie very carefully you would have seen in the climax when rocky is drivin his ship Prakash Raj says “He had most of the gold that anyone could have had in this world, and he is going to the perfect spot to hide all of it.”.
Also when the Navy Captain and the Major were having a conversation, captain says him that “I don't think he is escaping with the gold, he's coming right towards us.” Why was he doing this on purpose? , He even says "Even the American and Indonesian ships arecoming for him" Why did he call them too?
This movie ends with so many un answered
questions...
• What was his actual plan?
• And did you ever wonder why did he go to indian
ocean where the Indian navy were? Why were the US Navy ships and Indonesian ships called by him?
So its clear he did all this wantedly.
• Why did he do all this wantedly?
• If he wanted to die without surrendering, why did he take all the gold with him?
•Why did he take that specific sea route only in
indian ocean?
•What happened to Inayat Khaleel next?
• His promise was to win the world and not just
india, when did he do that in chapter 2? They just showed Rocky drowning not dying.
So its almost clear that he is not dying but he is
executing his plan.
And if you remember the boy who was having a
conversation with Adheera while he was holding the burning bridge. If you would have observed carefully they don't show Adheera killing him. And when the dead bodies were bought to KGF his mother doesn't get to see the dead body's face either. So this kind of shows that the boy isn't dead yet and he is alive.
There's a new movie coming up called “Salaar”
which is starred by prabhas. This movie has the same director, Production house and producer, an the same music director as KGF Chapter 1 and 2. Even the boy's mother in KGF Chapter 2 is Prabas mother in Salaar. There were also hints given by the Movie makers that Salaar is connected with KGF. There's high chance he himself is prabhas and he is going to be rocky's army commader and rocky is going for his dream of taking over the world along with prabhas. Prashanth neel is a mastermind he is planning something really big to change the indian cinema. He wants KGF to become a verse just like
the Marvel and DC Movies. KGF is becoming a
verse!

1) prashant neel has a great vision . He will never show the past of a hero who is already dead

Rocky said "Get Ready", just before Ramika signs and orders the attack on KGF.
He also told Ramika in his one on one meeting that he will fight and win.
Now, in ending scene, he is sacrificing himself. He faxed Indian Navy and provoked them to bomb his ship filled with gold, while he was standing there in all his SWAG!
Im 100% sure it was one of this plan to escape Ramika's fury and Rocky is not dead for sure! I think after reading the CIA file and his activities, Ramika will come to know that Rocky is not dead and he will be shown ruling his "duniya"-- KGF 3 ending!
Connecting small dots here. ROCKY NEVER DIED.
1. There was probably a reason for introducing “Jimmy Carter” in the movie. He was the 39th president of USA, between 1977 and 1981.
2. It was shown in the movie that Jimmy Carter was way impressed by Rocky’s response - “CEO of India” and there is a reason to believe that after becoming president of USA he may have supported Rocky’s escape plan.
3. Movie tells us that US navy was very close to Rocky’s Tanker ship and hence every reason to believe that Rocky will be saved by US navy and he will also recover his gold by swag.
4. Rocky himself sent the Fax to Indian navy. No reason to believe that he was ‘dumb’. He was way too smart and always a step ahead in planning. Probably Indian navy was unknowingly supporting his plan.
5. In movie it’s just shown that Rocky is drowning but never showed that he is dead. Almost no reason to assume he’s dead. Hence would like to differ with the creator of this video, who’s saying that Rocky is dead in part-2 and part-3 will only be about flashback. NO WAY. Movie will be a FLOP before release if public in the back of their mind has the thought that their SUPERSTAR is already dead. MAKERS WON’T make this mistake.
If the maker of this video agree with any of above, he should add the relevant points in the video to encourage ROCKY’s FANS.

In chapter 2 they skipped 4 years From 1977 to 81. so in chapter 3 it will be abt Rocky's crime in those 4 years and how he became most wanted criminal across 17 countries (he is dead in chapter 2 and that's it ).

Rocky didn't die he completed the promise. He delivered the gold in the ocean because her mother told him at the beginning scene that ocean glitter is actually because of the gold in it. This was Rockys plan all along. He will be captured most probably by Americans in the next chapter and we will also see flashbacks from 1978-1981 3 yr Rockys expansion into international countries

The first half is like complete hero oriented. Entry scene of Yash to the next level. Yash delivered solid performance with his great body language, manerism like KGF-1 throughout.The dialogue delivery ,swag are on spot. Second half carries story to other level. Sanjay Duth delivered powerful performance to suit the swag and energy of Rocky. Only a person like Adheera can face Rocky ! Srinidhi has more screen here.She has given her best in this with a sad ending. Mother has more role to play in this movie and brings emotional effect well here... Raveena has done 100% justice to her role. Direction , screenplay on other universe.. Overall KGF 2 is one of it's kinda Action movie that will ready to break many records in Indian cinema. Twist- Dont leave the theatres once climax scene and ending song is done. Because there is a plot twist after that for 5 mints.🔥🔥

Saw the movie and it was amazing.
About the ending part, i don't think rocky just died without fulfilling his promise, he knowingly went on a ship with a plan and remember Inayat is still there, and Inayat had a dialogue on his last scene :P , maybe on those 3 years he planned everything to conquer the world which will be shown in chapter 3
I feel like it would be more impactful if rocky did die there. That being said u are probably right since I don’t know how they can do a 3rd kgf movie without rocky.

I don't think Rocky is dead. Inayath Khaleel is also alive. Some planning was done before Rocky decided to take the ship by himself. Otherwise, what is the point of him sending the signal/fax to US and Indonesian navy ? Definitely not for them to collect the dead body. I have a feeling he is alive and 3rd part will also tell us why he decided to dump the gold at that place too. Just my opinion.

Connecting small dots here. ROCKY NEVER DIED.
1. There was probably a reason for introducing “Jimmy Carter” in the movie. He was the 39th president of USA, between 1977 and 1981.
2. It was shown in the movie that Jimmy Carter was way impressed by Rocky’s response - “CEO of India” and there is a reason to believe that after becoming president of USA he may have supported Rocky’s escape plan.
3. Movie tells us that US navy was very close to Rocky’s Tanker ship and hence every reason to believe that Rocky will be saved by US navy and he will also recover his gold by swag.
4. Rocky himself sent the Fax to Indian navy. No reason to believe that he was ‘dumb’. He was way too smart and always a step ahead in planning. Probably Indian navy was unknowingly supporting his plan.
5. In movie it’s just shown that Rocky is drowning but never showed that he is dead. Almost no reason to assume he’s dead. Hence would like to differ with the creator of this video, who’s saying that Rocky is dead in part-2 and part-3 will only be about flashback. NO WAY. Movie will be a FLOP before release if public in the back of their mind has the thought that their SUPERSTAR is already dead. MAKERS WON’T make this mistake.
If the maker of this video agree with any of above, he should add the relevant points in the video to encourage ROCKY’s FANS.

At the start of movie rocky asks his mother why does ocean water shine and his mother says that it shines because it has gold below it so from here Rocky gets the idea to protect all his gold+people.
Second the officers in mid credit scene said that they didn't find anything at the ocean floor even after searching for long so it is possible that Rocky escaped from there with the help of (possibly) Salaar.
KGF 3 & Salaar will be connected. Easwari Rao played Salaar(Muslim Boy)'s mother in KGF 2 & according to Wikipedia, Easwari Rao will also play Salaar(Prabhas)'s mother in Salaar movie, so, both movies will be connected.

So, Rocky isn't dead here..he will survive! If he wanted to die without surrendering, why did he take all the gold with him? Why did he take that specific sea route only? ,What happened to Inayat khaleel? His promise was to win the world and not just india..when did he do that in chap 2? They just showed Rocky drowning..not dying..there might still be a chance for him to survive from there somehow...and who knows prakash Raj knew only this part n hence declared 'vo bhi khatam' and Anand himself tells about what happened next and most importantly, if you remember when Rocky met ramika, he says, "I try to avoid fight, but if u still wanna fight, I will definitely win" after saying this ,how can he lose to Ramika?
