I have a 2007 Toyota Avalon Limited. It has just over 250K miles and still RUNS and DRIVES well. It has the FUEL EFFICIENCY of a 4 cylinder if driven conservatively, which I do most of the time and it has the POWER of a V8 when I put the PEDAL to the METAL.
250K is about HALF WAY what you could expect, The "Older" Avalons, and same vintage Lincoln Town Cars are THE luxury cars to buy used, A Benz or a Bimmer are MONEY PITS, These are NOT!
I have an 07 as well. Purchased new, it has 224K miles on it and still runs great.
@@Steve31957 06 limited. I just hit 188k. I feel young compared to you guys😂 but man these Avalon’s are roomy and reliable. Love the V6!
My grandfather in new york bought one of these *new* in 2006, and it still runs like a gem! Nothing beats the reliability of a toyota!
Just wanted to drop a comment. I had an 06 and actually the adaptive system in the older avalons are laser based. In ideal conditions it's actually more accurate than radar based systems buy the downside is when it is foggy or raining the laser systems do not work well, which is why they switched to radar based systems later on. My Avalon had a ton of chips in the sensor so it wasn't super reliable but boy when it worked it was so relaxing and relieved a lot of the stress of driving on the interstate. Kudos to Toyota for adopting this technology very early on and making it affordable, and also pioneering standard safety systems.
Good to know
Yeah my laser cruise control stopped working years ago
@@kiwiinterstates3190 take a look at the laser module bottom passenger side and see if it has any buildup or hazing. Also mine had the issue where it was aimed slightly too high so it only worked super close. I replaced the steering wheel and that took it out all the way for some reason so I didn't have adaptive cruise the last 3 months that I owned it
@@jessefloyd4835 weird because on the highway a few weeks ago when traffic suddenly put the brakes on in front of me I got a warning sound and the car automatically put them on for me before I couldn’t even react! So something was working then. But generally cruising it doesn’t keep distance. I’ll have a look at the module over the weekend thanks!
08/29/23. I just purchased an '06 Limited w/107K on it.
Very well maintained !
The only thing I don't really care for is the light butterscotch colored wood grain inlays.
I have an 06 with 153k on the clock. My son is 6 '1 and has room to spare where he sits in the back.
Looking at an 06 rn with 128k miles for 6k. Are there any common issues w this car i should look for?
We have an 2010 Toyota Avalon limited and we definitely could not believe how amazing the Avalon is and ours has 102k miles we love ours a lot we got it not last week but we the week before
When I hear "old school" to describe an '06 ANYTHING, It makes me feel REAL old, LOL. Hell, I already had a "smartphone" THREE YEARS before this car was made! (Palm Treo 600, Take THAT Apple!). Either way the Avalon is one hell of a bargain, A Lexus with a Toyota price! VERY NICE cars!
Just got a 2006 limited 84000 clean as a pin 6800

I'm looking at a 2006 Toyota Avalon w 125k miles for $6999 and a 2006 Toyota Prius w 83.5k miles for $7999. I need to be able to drive long distances (120 miles round trip once or twice a week, other times just short trips to the store.) Which model would you recommend?
did you get it?
I brought a 2006 with 81k for $7100 an it runs OUTSTANDING
wish my 2005 XLS has all that feature too🤣
Do back seats also have heating/cooling feature?
This one, no. Newer ones, yes.
How much is it at your dealership
Watch the video! He tells you. Plus do you think it’s still there, the video was made in November 2020
My college roommate has a 2006 Avalon Limited we bought in Charlotte, NC with 130k for only 5,000 absolute steal for the features and it’s still really fast! (I say we because I helped him find the car and look after it for him during breaks)
That is a fucking steal, I’m getting one with 120k miles for 8000 (granted the car market is high still) in great condition, can’t wait
Please what’s the different between Avalon limited, xl, and xls
I have a 1998 Avalon love it - and don’t want to buy more complex tech but I will consider next Avalon 2006 model
Currently 450k not to mention 27-29mpg highway
Avalons have been referred to as "Japanese Buicks", This IS NOT a "diss", Back "in the day", A Buick was a luxury brand for those who HAD money, but didn't want to "show off". (Fun Fact: Some Buicks cost MORE than Cadillacs in certain years.) It's a way to get all the "goodies" without looking "ostentatious". In a cool way, Toyota subtly acknowledges the "Japanese Buick" aspect of the Avalon in naming the highest trim level "Limited", "Limited" was Buick's highest trim level name for decades.
The dashboard was a defect Toyota replaced them until 2017 unfortunately a lot of owners didn't take advantage of the recall it affected Toyota's and Lexus
Miré este video y en ese mismo día compre uno 2006 gris limpiesito , 157000 , 4000 dolares , esta presioso al manejar , se siente como un sueño
why not add a note letting folks know its been sold?
I have an 06 as well, now has 276,000 miles and runs and shifts perfect still with just normal maintenance.
Great motivation for me to keep mine. Only at 188k. I thought 200k would be my limit.
“Luxory” lmao
Shut up lol
