  • NSTLKIA presents 'Corleonesi', our newest documentary on one of the most brutal, reckless, and feared mafia clans in Italian History: The Corleonesi clan.
Part ONE of the series focuses on the early beginnings of the clan amongst Sicily's old agricultural mafia, and how Salvatore "Toto" Riina led the vicious gang into the 1980s and early 90s.

Unfortunately due to a sudden copyright strike 20 seconds after 19:20 had to be cut out of the video, explaining the sudden cut there. I'll restate what I said below:
"For years Palermo had been the central headquarters of the Sicillian mafia’s operations, and the city was controlled by a number of men. Although the Corleonesi had influence in their respective quarter, Riina wanted dominance over not just the city, but the entire mafia as a whole, and he identified his enemies as three powerful bosses in the city."

he forget to tell the full story! Mussolini get rid of the Mafia, only a few outlaw existed. The whole thing started in 1942, the US started negotiations with Lucky Luciano, he agree, became free and helped in exchange for political influence in Italy after the war! So the US brought the mafia back to Italy stronger then ever, but the US didn't expected that they will use this power to take over the US and the world! In 1948 the first vote stand before, Italy was full of communists, the US knew, if Italy will vote for the reds, western Europe will follow and also vite for the commies. The US now changed side and searched help by former fascist, like the black prince etc.they made terror attacks in the name of "communism", so that the reds started to become a no go for most voters! 1948, Italy voted, the commies lost. the US first foreign intervention. "Eyes wide open Italy 1948" shows a good video on YT, very well made and historical correct! like this video too, but this started later!

Di Cristina was never part of the 3 man ruling panal at any point. Neither was Pipo Calderon.
Also Leggio was the original Corleonesi representative on the panal, however because Leggio was out of Scilly on the Italian mainland so much, Riina attended most panal meetings as a result, but it wasnt till Leggio was arrested in Milan that Riina become the official Corleonesi rep.
Michele Greco known as "The Pope" convinced Bontade and Inzerello it was the right move to make. Little did they know He'd threw his weight behind Riina.

Don't know why you didn't add that Riina, when captured had been in hiding for much of the period just down the street from the police station, effectively right under the noses of the authorities. I remember his arrest very well, as that fact about his hiding place caused a lot of embarrassment to the state, and drew criticism regarding the competence of the police! Ah, Italy, you couldn't make it up!

Very good this in trying to show to people how it was in Italia, I'd have liked it to have shown more depth in the actual history, I think it's missing this, I know everything about this from Navarra up on til the capture of Toto Riina e Bernardo Provenzano, and understanding why the actions against the state, killings, bombing, stopped, as has been said many times, that there was an agreement between them and the state, this is what I am led to understand, and many prominent people, books, documentaries, all bring out this fact

The New York Italian Mob was head & shoulders smarter in every way possible over the old school Mafia from the the homeland of Italy/ Sicily.
They were smart enough to figure out how taking people out in daylight/ public was flat out bad for business, ( Especially using bombs, that took out innocent people) the other massive mistake they made was taking out police and Judges! It's just... well flatout stupid and paints a massive target on there backs!! Now when it came to making money, the American mafia made alot more money then this guy's could have ever even dreamed about making! So like I said the American Mafia was alot smarter and turned there operations into massive business that would have made the The fortune 500 list from all the money they had coming in!
The Mafia from the old world acted more like young children who acted like they always had something to prove, why that is, I'll never know but it's no wonder they had everyone on them the way they did the stupid shit they did!
I'm sure I've missed alot but I think I'm correct with this take and would like to know what you think about the topic...

American mobsters had love and respect from the people that live in the area where the mob was located! Because they keep people safe and took care of them! Even when they got looked up the people always had there backs and would make sure they didn't see the inside of jails! It's mind blowing at just how .... I'll say it stupid these old heads are about just about everything!
How much money did they make? Danm sure couldn't have been much! They seemed to care more about bloodshed then they did making money! RIINA was an animal and that's very clear!

    • @OPPOSMITE
      @OPPOSMITE 8 месяцев назад

When you kill someone's whole danm family why wouldn't they testify against you? They have already jad everything taken away so what the hell do they even have to lose at that point?
Again RIINA was just an animal who wasn't good at business and forced the man to turn against him! What the hell else could the mam have done? You took out his whole family! Clearly he's going to want to pay you back anyway possible! That was the best card he had to play and he RIINA just forced his hand! Again RIINA just wasn't very smart! Like at all or he would have seen what he was going to force him to do!
SMH! I'm really shocked at just how stupid these old heads really are! AMERICAN MOBSTERS COULD MAKE MORE IN ONE YEAR THEN THESE OLD SCHOOL GUYS COULD IN A DECADE, HELL PROBABLY EVEN LONGER! JUST SHOWS HOW AMERICA IS THE TRUE LAND OF OPRRTUNITY!

Have you read the 6th family it goes into deep detail about how the old school and the Canadian part of the mob. Had their hand into everything and the numbers where in the hundreds of millions. It's just my opinion also unlike the American mafia they are openly in the drug business which is easy money compared to muscling your way into legitimate businesses.
