I am 52 and started a RUclips channel. I often wonder if I am too old for the algorithm to send my videos out. I am not, RUclips definitely has a place for 50 plus beauty vloggers, and I am constantly being reminded of this because every time I post a video, RUclips pushes a beauty video out that I created a year ago. I don’t mind beauty content, but that’s not my full jam… but it’s profitable for YT, sell stuff!
I totally agree with you about how confident boosting creating a YT channel… I mean you really have to learn the art of not giving a f*cl while at the same time really caring about what people want without sacrificing your authenticity.
When people upload videos for the first few times, it’s actually empowering knowing that people are likely not going to see it for a while… it gives you space to be bold.
    Great video

Yes there's this awkward transition between "I hope no one sees this " and " I hope this goes viral" I'm somewhere in between I think 😅

I can relate to you so much. Love your content. I’m 50 and would love to have the time, energy and motivation to start my own channel. I’m also a photographer. :)

Only a few weeks ago I searched RUclips for "book cover photography" and found your channel, which has been very helpful; I subscribed. I was out today, taking photos that I think will be suitable for covers; I shall soon see if I've learned anything! But how is your book cover work going?
I have a RUclips channel though there's almost nothing on it, but I did run a blog for quite a while, and published over 450 posts before I stopped. All those blog posts taught me to write non-fiction, which has been very useful and has helped me to earn money.

I'm so glad my book cover videos were helpful to you! I haven't been submitting much the last couple years, I'm not sure if the motivation for book covers will come back . 🤷‍♀️

I also want to add, as I’m watching your video about the trauma, I can also relate and am in a bad place in my life right now… won’t go into it. But you give me inspiration. I hope I can pull out of this and be more like you one day and just do things. ❤

I'm sending you so much love right now. I never thought I'd get to a better place in my life, but the one thing we can count on is change. Nothing is forever, and if you keep that in mind you can grab change and turn it into opportunity. I don't have everything figured out but I trust myself to try. That's all you can do. 💕

@@WildEmpress thank you. I’m crying right now. It hits me hard. I’ve been trying to get back into my photography for awhile now after leaving a bad relationship. And I’m close, not there yet. I am grateful for change. Hopefully things will get better soon. ♥️
