I agree they fucked up (should have communicated capacity properly), but honestly, did you really expect that you could just walk up halfway through the day, "wait 4 hours," and get in _while the event is already underway?_ People aren't "camping" their seats, they went to fucking watch finals day, paid their money, and woke up before you were willing to, period.

The main game streams were easy to find because they were all numbered with Evo#1-7 But I had a hard time finding the side game streams unless they were streamed by other channels that weren't the official evo ones :/

This is the second major in a row where Ed had big representation at a high level. I am so happy for Punk. For all the BS that Punk has gotten, he has played in 35 SF6 tournaments. He has been top 8 in all but 2, top 4 in 30, and has won 14 (including two majors in a row). Other than Mena, no one else has an argument for the best SF6 player.
First I must say that Ending Walker performance was something else I have no doubt that we will see great things from him!! This final…What such big legends that I followed for years punk and big bird have been my pillars in learning the game. Any of those two deserved to get the trophy! Can't believe the prize money for one of the biggest tournaments of the year is so low. They should add another 0 at the end! 1st: $12,000 2nd: $6,000 3rd: $4,500 4th: $3,000 5th-6th: $1,800 7th-8th: $450
It's a free for all tournament where anyone with any experience can enter and compete with people who are more well known. The ones who make it to the final spots in EVO then get a chance for sponsorship. It's not about money also, it's the recognition of talent

I'm not sure that was the actual payout for Streetfighter 6. That's just the minimum prize. It would be strange to receive the same payout as KOF, for example, because much less people played that. It would also be less than last years payout. I imagine the prize could be as much as double, but having trouble finding confirmation of that anywhere.

Evo 2017 was the first one I ever watched, which means my first real experience with Street Fighter was watching Punk walk right up to the threshold of true greatness, only to ultimately be denied by Tokido. So seeing him finally claim the title for himself...man, it definitely makes sense why even Sajam and Yipes were getting emotional.
