One theory is that time and events are like a moments on a film roll frame after frame. Under certain circumstances two points in time on the film roll so to speak fold back / overlap /superimpose allowing the present to witness the past.
I don't think this applies to every situation but is worthy of being on the table for debate.
Not only is he a courageous freedom fighter, but an incredible storyteller too. Could listen to him for hours.

I have loved him for years, I cried when I heard he was married 😂 I was 14 and convinced he was going to visit Ireland one day and we'd fall madly in love. I was a kid lol, I'm very happy he's happy.😊
I knew an old boy of my College at Oxford who discovered that two previous homes he lived in had reported 'apparitions' , from the new residents, which he knew nothing about when he llved there. At further enquiry he worked out that the apparitions were actually incidents which had happened to him in them!
Time isn’t linear as soon as you can understand that, this makes perfect sense
Often wondered about the relevance of time in hauntings. It could explain a lot.

Everything is energy, some powerful energy remains in certain intances and places.
We live in a 500yr old cottage and we very often get an overpowering smell of pipe smoke in our sitting room - not like modern day pipe tobacco, this smells almost sweet - and is usually accompanied by footsteps going up the wooden stairs in the sitting room and across the creaky floorboards in the Master bedroom. Nothing at all frightening and it's now just become one of those things in life.

In our old house we have also heard someone walking up the creaky stairs a few time's when there is no'one there, sometime's i smell aftershave different to that anyone in the house uses.
My wife was a florist, in partnership with a friend of hers and they used to rent an old shop in a terraced row, which at one time had been a dwelling. We all noticed a strange atmosphere in there. Later, unexplained “poltergeist” type things began to occur and it got to the point that they were frightened to be in there alone. Eventually they asked for the church to assist them and a short blessing service was held in the shop. Thankfully the incidents ceased. However, my wife and a customer narrowly avoided serious injury or worse when a van crashed into a lamppost outside then through the front window and into the shop!

I practised as a Clinical Psychotherapist for 4 decades in the area of traumatic grief & these stories were very, very common. At no point did I ever invite clients to describe any anomalous experiences; they independently discussed their anomalous encounters. Thus making their experiences even more compelling. As a way of reaching an understanding, a combination of Consciousness studies, Neurobiology & Quantum Physics surrounding this phenomenon points to how highly intricate/complex this is and how it is interconnected with other 'para' - normal events. I remember reading, I forget just where it was, about a gentleman who's ghost haunted the bakery where he had worked for most of his life. Similar to Neil's story the gentleman was retired but still alive. Apparently he spent a lot of time sitting in his favourite chair reminiscing about his time in the bakery.

He was projecting. That is what happens when intense thought (singular intensity such as a trauma or repetition focus) is applied to a specific place or person. The reason a lot of souls become trapped at the scene of their death or in a place they were often in life. We don't realise how powerful our thoughts and emotions are in life.
Shortly after moving into our current house @ 30 yrs ago, both my husband & I saw the 'ghost' of the man who had passed away here the year before. Shortly after the neighbour from up the road dropped in to welcome us to the area and it turned out he was also the brother of the man who had died. Without thinking I blurted out "Oh you look a lot like each other, except for the eyes." I said, "his eyes are different, more rounded than yours." He answered yes, I have more like "Chinese eyes" he said. "Have you seen a picture of him?" he asked. It was then that I realized that I'd goofed up by mentioning it, and briefly wondered what to tell him. So I thought, well the truth is better than a lie, so reiterated the whole thing to him and tears sprang to his eyes. Shortly after a trail of his family members came to visit and to hear the story. It was nice to meet them all.

A TV series called "ONE STEP BEYOND" used to dramatize and recreate events like this. It was one of the greatest things ever made for television. People these days don't even consider some of the greatest mysteries of Life.
That was on a couple of days ago can't remember the channel.
That show is really good and based on true events. You can still see many of the episodes right here on RUclips.

Wow, that was a surprise. I could listen for hours. Always enjoyed Neil on Coast to Coast, he made you feel you were walking with him seeing what he saw.
My sister saw the ghost of me in our old farmhouse when we were children. When she described what had happened to her she was ashen faced - I've never seen her so shocked before or since! It's always made me feel pretty spooked too!!! x
I've experienced myself as a ghost of me as a child
I saw the spirit of a friend walk threw my bedroom door clear as day !! Many years ago now it terrified me !! I never told anyone for years as at the time I thought who will believe that !!
In 2022 I saw the spirit of my dog go under my bedside table as I was getting into bed !! Again I think I’m going crazy !! Shrugged it off as she was asleep on the sofa !! The next morning we got up to find her dead !! So much for my mind to comprehend 😢
As a very young child I was scared of dogs (love ‘em now) and I distinctly recall avoiding the Airedale terrier that was always curled up under my grandfather’s dining chair. Many years later, after my grandfather’s death, I mentioned the dog to my mother. She looked very shocked. She asked me to describe the dog, which I did. She told me that the dog was my grandfather’s favourite but it had died years before I was born. He never had another dog. True story.
Another story. Years ago, when I was in my pre teen years I used to spend time at the house of a very good friend of my mother. She had a daughter who was a good friend of my sister and there used to be a big swing in their garden, which we took turns to ride on. In my forties I hadn’t seen any of that family for thirty years after I joined the RAF. One night I had a bizarre dream that I was back in their garden riding on the swing. I mentioned this to my mother and she asked me when this had happened. She burst into tears and told me that her friend had died that night. I had no idea until then.

I once heard of a man who visited a house he was thinking of buying. Looking around, the owners seemed very quiet and the house seemed familiar. Then he realised he’s dreamed of it. Turning to the owners he jokingly asked ‘This house isn’t haunted is it?’. To which they replied ‘Yes, by you!’ Similarly I had a friend in the 80s who had set up a complex of artists studios. Very much his baby. He was seen a few times when he wasn’t actually there.

Most dreams I have involve being in houses I don't know. I hope I'm not a 'ghost' in actual houses right now! Sometimes I dream of the same house more than once and past houses I lived in. Night night sleep tight folks!

My step Father’s mother Evelyn died at the amazing age of 102 this year, in our local nursing home. My parents kitchen clock stopped at the exact time of her death the night she passed over. My Mom and Step Father knew Evelyn had done that for them ❤to know she lives on. Evelyn had seen many spirits during her own lifetime and my family has always known they are very real.
I can attest to that, one day i was cleaning under a coffe table that is adjacent to the open living room door, in the south east, where a relative, [living a few hundred miles away] was standing, i carried on cleaning for a minute or two, looked up again only to find he was still standing there, i repeated this action once more before he finally disapeared, i have often wondered about this i saw him a few months later, when i was on a visit and realised he was weariing the same clothes as he wore the day i saw him at my home
Did you discuss it with him or ask him any questions?
He didn't live with you and he was standing in your house but you kept on cleaning and didn't speak to him didn't ask him why he was there strange behaviour from you.

@@bernardpower2930I saw the clear body form of a young girl of about 7-9 yrs old in a night dress where I lived with my family. She was in the corridor that led to the front room where I was with my Dad and brother . I knew it wasn't my sister ( too young) . She began to walk towards the front room and I don't know why but I looked away for a second or two. When I looked again, she was no lo ger there. I was not in the least bit frightened as I sensed no ill intent. I didn't mention this until about year later when I told my mum. My mum simply said, so you've seen her too. I hope the little girl is at peace.
It's a powerful thought form - these things happen ('science' has not even gotten past a materialist world-view)... A part of her spirit is there. Can't dismiss it. It's a brilliant case study.

@@ob2249 whether this or aliens for example . i have seen nothing but i have an open mind because i dont believe that global stories from many are all lies and or jokes . perhaps try to have an open mind and try not to judge others for believing differently to you .
Ignore @ob2249 and always keep your mind open to possibilities. Actually science has gone past what we perceive as reality, but the science books will need to be rewritten. Einstein called it “spooky science”. If you look up quantum physics, entanglement, and “the double slit experiment”, you will see an example. It is practically impossible to demonstrate the non physical using physical instruments, but quantum physicists will get there.
I've worked with some of the most down to earth tough men on construction sites all over England and beyond and a good friend who I worked alongside on many projects had the experience of a poltergeist in his home his wife had had an experience of it and explained it to him but he didn't believe her then whilst he was alone in the house he witnessed the phenomenon and they had the house exorcised
The stone tape theory is often associated with people who are ''presumed'' to have died. The difference in the case Neil mentions is the vision was of someone who was proved to be alive, had the women moved away and no one knew of the back story, that vision would have been classed as a residual haunting. But as we have seen here, leaving some form of residual footprint of a traumatic event has to be left when they were alive and reply when circumstances allow when the person is still living or later dies. A great series you are running.
This is when an event is etched into the fabric of the place. It's usually triggered by a person in the place that is spiritually attuned. They may well not be aware of the fact that is them that triggered it or that they are attuned. This isn't the spirit of a person being living or dead, It's the residual high emotion being replayed over & over again.
Like ocd. Ghosts are not about death but an extreme emotions of something unresolved. In this case anyway. If the jady every resolved it then maybe the haunting would end. There was another story of a man visiting a house. Grand people. The man that owned the house was playing the piano witnessed by the guest when he arrived. Who was playing the piano do beautifully just now he asked. They said what did he look like. "It is the man of the house but he isn't here at the moment" he was fishing in Scotland or somewhere far away. The wife phoned him to check if he was safe. He was and he knew nothing if he until they phoned. You can get ghosts of living people. Maybe there are fairies that oretend to take kn a likeness of someone. I known two that told me almost same story as eachother. They were greed by a member of their family in the house then went into another room to find the same family n2mber doing something else.
T.C. Lethbridge writes about this phenomenon in his book Power of the Pendulum. His hypothesis was that iron bearing stone/ground can act like a recording medium for strong emotional events, much like magnetic tape was used early on for recording sound. A fascinating read if you can find the book.
It has been suggested the Stone henges may have served a similar purpose as a repository for recording/playing back ancient wisdom, although they're "broken" now.

Fascinating. I’m really enjoying these paranormal/ghost stories.
I speculate that most of the people who see these kinds of visions are probably psychically gifted/sensitives to have had experienced them, otherwise, seemingly, as painful as life can be, we’d probably all be seeing traumatic replays from other people’s pasts, living and dead, whenever occupying the spaces where they once took place.
Though, that couple who saw the woman beating her head against the wall did both witness it, together, but I suppose that they both could have been clairvoyant.
I do basically believe that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, so who can say, really, either way? IMO
Totally agree with you we are spirit having a human experience but a ghost is only a replay and certain conditions can make things replay . But without a doubt after 35 years of research in the paranormal that we will live on forever and there is no doubt in my mind.💯🇬🇧🇯🇲👍

The walls had absorbed her emotions and her blood and she literally had left her mark on them. I would believe this story totally.
My Nan passed away when I was 18, a month or so later i had been out with friends, I came home and my Mum was lying on the sofa watching tv, next thing our dog (quiet mini yorkie) began shivvering and barking into the corner of the room, I asked my Mum what was he doing? to which she replied he had been doing it all evening, as I went to go upstairs to bed I got the strongest smell of my nans distinctive perfume and overwhelming warm feeling, I swear to this day she came back to say goodbye 😢

Love this. There was a TV series called "Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction" where they'd show 3 or 4 short ghostly or strange occurrences and viewers had to guess which ones were true and which ones were fiction. One of the stories was about a young couple who wanted to buy a house but they didn't have that much money and everything they looked at they either couldn't afford or did not like. One day as they were driving past a beautiful large home the wife insisted her husband stop. She'd seen that house before in her dreams. Her husband said that first of all, that house was way beyond their budget and secondly, it wasn't even for sale! But the wife insisted they knock on the door. Long story short: the wife walks around and knows every room in detail before entering. She can't believe it. After showing them the house the owner tells them that actually, she will sell it to them at the price they can afford.... because it's haunted. Turned out that the spirit of the young wife, in her dreams, would visit the house and walk around, so in fact she was "the ghost" the owner had been seeing. They bought the house, and this story turned out to be true.
I loved that programme and I remember that story, it totally fascinated me. I'm getting tingly thinking about it. Thank you for posting this x ❤

It was the agent who conducted the initial viewing. The owner got the surprise of her life when she met the buyer not for the first time.
The name for that is astral projection. I can do it but it takes a lot of practice and effort. It’s very common for people to do this while sleeping and not know that’s what’s happening. These “dreams” are incredibly vivid and real.
What an interesting ghost story. Kind of makes one stop and think about the possibilities. Is there really a dimension in life we just don't understand? This is going to haunt me for a few days just trying to think of all the possibilities? I am a hard-nose facts sort of person, so the idea of a ghost is going to be difficult for me to wrap my mind around, however: 1) my daughter swears her mother-in-law appeared at the foot of the bed she was using with my granddaughter in the house in which the vision had committed suicide, and my own mother, who was in hospital terminally ailing with cancer, had a dream of a funeral and a ghostly voice telling her she would "know by tonight," and the night the pain struck and she was drugged out of consciousness thereafter and died about a week later.
True. Really, makes you wonder what is the true nature of reality and our brains. Are our lives like vinyl records destined to follow the grooves on a record with our brains the needle that interprets those grooves. Does our needle sometimes jump out of those grooves into someone else's groove just for a moment and we witness someone else's life briefly?
I'm convinced we have no real understanding of what reality is.

No it absolutely doesn’t. It’s an oral ghost story for a start so it proves nothing beyond the teller believing it. It doesn’t even show that but let’s not be too skeptical.

There has never been a single demonstrable example of the phenomenon that you propose (i.e. an event magically imprinting itself on a building).
The story shows that a) people like to tell ghost stories and that b) those stories tend to copy the things from TV and movies.

That pre-supposes that just because you can’t think of an explanation for why she would make it it must therefore be true. It’s so piss weak it’s embarrassing. Maybe she didn’t make it up. Maybe she is nuts, or mistaken, or have been embellishing this story for so long show know longer knows more what is real and what isn’t.
Maybe Neil Oliver, his agent, his agents friend or his agents friends grandmother embellished it with every re-re-telling.

I feel tHat incident is a time tape . When traumatic things happen it gets recorded in the atmosphere and replays under certain circumstances . Houses are absorbers of past energy .
I've had the same thought for years. But when I've spoken about it to others, they just look at me as though I'm mad.
Or maybe the "incident" is always there, before it actually happened to the person. Like a radio signal on a frequency destined for one particular person. However the Amplitude (emotional loudness) is so big that others can sometimes pick it up on their receivers like a faint far off radio station.

Yeah, I agree entirely. I don't think just anyone can pick up on it, but certain sensitive people can if they are there at the right time. Same with some objects too.
Quartz crystal is used for chips that record digital signals… maybe the electric energy of trauma can somehow be recorded and buildings with a high degree of stone and quartz buildings like castles will have information encoded within the walls.
When we were renovating our house there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in one part of the hallway you could literally walk into the patch of where it was and walk out!
I believe 100% that places retain the memories of happenings long ago. The reason I believe is because of certain incidents that have happened to me. I’ll name just two. In the early ‘90s, I went to visit Durham castle and the cathedral with my parents. I was having a lovely time until we went further into the castle grounds, I felt a sudden feeling of dread and couldn’t stand being in there, all I could think about was being buried alive, I felt so bad I started crying and had to get out of there. About 20 years later I read that a load of skeletons had been found buried within the grounds, most likely Scottish prisoners from Cromwell’s days. The second incident was kind of similar but it was back in the late ‘70s, I was just a kid, we were in Scotland , parked on the white sands in Dumfries and I felt hot and sweaty, like I couldn’t breathe, I felt just sheer panic and didn’t know what was happening to me, I couldn’t stand being where we were, and it was years later when I was in my ‘20s that I found out women were burnt at the stake for being witches back in the 16 and 1700s. I’ve had so many negative feelings when being at certain places, and that’s without me knowing anything about the history of the place.
I think that's true, but I also think it means you're very sensitive! If it were only the imprints of the trauma then many more people would experience those things or see them! 😲 I hate to say it but I don't think I ever will because I never have and I don't think I have any of those abilities. I think it means you're special! 😲 Don't forget that! If I were you I would think about it and try to develop it somehow. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ For real because it's certainly not common. ☺️

Moonspinners, you are psychic. Specifically a psychic empath. You experienced the fears of two separate people who were killed. Please understand that when this happens, you can train yourself to stay calm and exit the area. Some spirits will try to reach out for help by showing the manner of their death or the emotional distress they feel. You can ask God to send angels to help them cross over because they are stuck in the loop of their death experience. It’s very sad to not realize you have died and can move into the light.
@@beckinfidelis3916 …thank you for saying that. I think this “thing” I have runs in the family. My mum was like it, and out of my 4 brothers, only one seems to have a bit of it. Another funny thing happens to me a lot, I kind of sense when someone is going to die, or have something happen to them. It’s not all the time, but quite often. I googled “is Tom Wilkinson dead” and he wasn’t, then two days later it was on the news that he’d died suddenly. And when Jeremy Renner had his horrible accident (I actually didn’t know who the heck he was) but I suddenly woke up at 3am, sat up, said “hmmmm, Jeremy Renner” then went back to sleep 😂😂 yet again, he was all over the news the next day. It’s a very strange feeling, but I’m used to it now. The “signs” I’ve had since my mum passed away have been unbelievable. Stuff that can’t be explained scientifically, and believe me, I always try to be rational.

My son came to my bedroom to tell me that the phone downstairs is ringing and ringing. The handset by my bed has the ringer turned off so I didn't hear it.
I thanked him, answered the call and had a long lovely conversation.
Then I went downstairs to thank my son for alerting me to this phone call. He was very surprised as he just only got up and didn't hear the phone ringing either.
When I saw my son, I was a bit surprised as his glasses looked more gold and their shape was hexagonal.
When I tell people about this, no one will believe me this had actually happened.
The phone call is listed on the incoming calls, so it had happened.

When I was a kid I felt the end of my bed sink as though someone sat on it. I turned to look and saw an adult version of myself sat on the end of my bed. Years later I sat on the end of my childhood bed. Wearing the same outfit I’d saw as a child. Same hair cut. Looking down into my hands, exactly as I’d saw myself maybe 13 years before. It’s the most vivid memory of my life.

What do I make of that? We leave our energy imprints, especially if we are highly emotional, and people who pick it up are also vibrating at that same energy level. I wonder if the couple who complained of the ghost were having problems, if one suspected the other of having an affair?
There's been many studies of poltergeists, and one of many theories is that there is usually a teenager in the house who is full of rage they can't express verbally and unbeknownst even to themselves create dynamic energies around the house.

I have done this thing where a person stands against a white wall for 5-10 minutes, I've cleared my mind of everything during this, the friend has then stepped to one side, there was a shadow left briefly on the wall, we all have an in explained energy, something the Egyptians or myans could explain better, if we're happy we carry good energy,when were sad we have sad energy,if we're angry we carry bad energy, Neil's story is amazing but I understand why that happened, I've seen ghosts ,people that have passed on,all good bar one, he was the caretaker of an old shopping port, scared the crap out of me 🤣 it's all relative 🙂

I do believe traumatic experiences and can be absorbed by the structure and imprinted, but I also think it takes pretty special people to be affected by it much less to see it. I think it's a combination. I think the couple, both of them, are very sensitive and have a kind of special ability. One that I lack! 😂
A few years ago I was really poorly with pneumonia and was crawling up the stairs.... thinking to myself I was a creaky old lady... just wanted to get to my bed... and sleep... While I was sleeping I saw another family living in my house ( very vivid dream ) and the young kids were frightened of the noises on the stairs and the old lady...... I felt I was the ghost in my own house.... it was weird.... Now when I get up in the night to use the loo, or climb the stairs in the dark.... I say It's alright ,it's only me, don't worry..... just in case.... Lets face it, we just don't know do we , more things in heaven and earth ???
I recall reading somewhere of a theory that is something like this; everything has a natural resonance/frequency, and events, pictures etc can be "recorded", much the same as magnetic particles on a tape can record sound and images. When the atmospheric conditions etc are right the images can be in a way played back, and this is what we see as ghosts. I think I've remembered the gist of it right
Years ago when i was a young mother in an abusive relationship i woke one night to find my daughter sitting on my bed telling me not to despair that things will get better. My daughter was one year old sleeping in her cot, she was in her twenties when she spoke to me sitting on my bed

The energy stays behind in the house. After the old woman dies, future residents will see the apparition/energy and believe it's a ghost, but it's not. It's like a recording of a past trauma.
interesting story Neil, well, we are multi dimensional in terms of space/time,so this traumatic experience has & is happening - inside and outside the circle of time [Vitruvian man] - made a big imprint....she probably just needs to go back and tell her younger self that everything will be OK?...hope it works out.....

Have you seen the movie A PLACE OF ONES OWN? With James Mason and Margaret Lockwood! The family living in the house so lovingly handled it I learned so much from this movie. Gainesborough Pictures my favorite era. The ghost was ultimately ushered on to peaceful dissolution. They took great care and consideration.

Around 10 years back walked past a cottage that was for sale It was a lovely place however I’m instinct I felt something and put the name of the lane and town and the word murder which was what I suspected. Up came a story about a double murder. On some level I picked up something.

Truly fascintating
This is strange . Just last week I was waiting for my girlfriend to come up to my studio from her house - a short walk . I went to get a drink from the outside tap , and saw her walking up towards me . She disappeared behind a barn , as I went the other side to the tap . I expected her to be in the studio with tea , cheese and crackers when I returned , but she wasn't there . I thought she may have slipped over , so I went to look behind the barn - no- one there . I thought maybe she heard the phone and went back to the house , so I went down to the kitchen to see what was happening . She was still buttering the crackers , and the tea had not been made . Yet I saw her with the tea and the Tupperware box , in a plastic carrier bag not even ten minutes previously . She was also dressed slightly differently , and without a hat . No idea what it meant . But these ARE strange times .

A traumatic experience could leave an energy impression where the traumatic event took place, which then manifests as a "ghost," reliving that experience. Some people are sensitive to those energies and can see the "ghost" whilst most other people cannot.
I believe this. I remember viewing a house in Sussex and for some reason I didn't want to go up the stairs. I found out a few days later that the man selling had been domestically abused by his wife and she had pushed him down the stairs.
My own mother appeared as a ghost when she was alive, regularly in a cottage where she had previously spent many happy years.
Sixteen years ago I nursed the sick in the country side of the uk .I had many experiences with ghost . Only some people can see them .
Yes, it makes sense to me. It's energy that is stuck by the sounds of it. I sense energy like this so easily, if I'm staying in an older place on holiday, that place between sleep and awake can reveal a lot. But this is when these people are fully awake. So I can only assume it's because the energy is so strong!

This fits perfectly with my theory that “ghosts” are just some kind of holographic replay of high intensity emotional states- I’ve heard that bluestone holds electrical charge incredibly well and noticed quite a few “hauntings” in houses with bluestone foundations in the city I live in- I wonder what kind of physics investigation could explain this phenomenon better?
No. Interactive ghosts and crisis apparitions are not explicable as "holographic replays".
When I was about 16 I remember waking up one morning. I was lying on my back, partially rose to look down my body, and saw a woman looking out the window. I looked at her, looked at the clock (06:25), turned over and went back to sleep. I obviously didn't react at the time, but when I thought about it later that morning I realized that she was wearing 'mediaeval' clothes, with a wimple, and something wispy trailing off the point, and long open cuffs on her dress.
Still weird when I think about it, as that house was built circa 1920, so there was no mediaeval somewhere for her to be looking out of a window. Who knows what sort of echo carries down the years, but that house was seriously haunted, as I recall.
I used to have a dream of flying around my estate& later on was invited to a house I’d flew through, it was Exactly how I’d seen it in my dreams🤷♂️
I had an experience with a ghost, and it confused me, as then i didnt believe in an afterlife. Recently i heard about different realms that exist beyond our perception (the 5 senses) the guy said the ghost could have entered our realm before returning back. I recommend a book by a guy who dealt with over 5000 cases of near death experiences, basically someone who has died maybe for a minute or a week on life support, they are from people all over the world, different beliefs and backgrounds, and they all come back with a similar story. The book is called.. The dead saints chronicles, a zen journey through the christian afterlife. Its a must read for everybody.

@@UncleBaldy cool 👍 the guy was called David Solomon, he was sitting on this knowledge until he found out he had a serious form of brain cancer, from that moment he made it his goal to get the information out before he passed, and he managed to last just long enough to get the book published.

This is known as standard that spiritual aspects of folks remain in locations after leaving. For example at my present house was told to do cleansing to get rid former property owners energies left over. So the current example of the extreme trauma and also the era also being war etc would be that as such. The folks who non the less saw it had strong spirit energies to see it.
There maybe another reason for this, I myself have had out of body experiences and it is possible that she as a spirit can return to that cottage especially if on the mind before going to sleep. Then that location brings back the memories that happened there and caused a repeated action because she had still not dealt with that traumatic event. In other words still in her subconscious.

When I was at high school in the ‘60s, I remember my teacher telling us that in some-or-the-other U.K. suburb, people kept seeing a young woman running back and forth outside of a supermarket, crying and waving her arms about. Someone in the municipality investigated and discovered that in recent years, a lady had left her baby in its pram outside that supermarket. (This behaviour was common in the day.) She came out and the pram and baby were missing. As I recall, the baby was later found but her ghost remains running about in terror.
I have experienced something, supernatural, for want of a better word, through grief. I was not the only one to witness the ‘manifestation’. I prayed and prayed for peace for this manifestation. Now I’m very much worried I’ve left my previous home to be haunted. I really hope not. Bit happened once only so I hope my prayers worked.

Many years ago I saw my brother's ghost - but he was very much alive at the time, as he still is. I watched a grey figure that looked like my brother walk across a hallway from his bedroom to the bathroom of our parent's house. A minute later my brother got out of bed and went to the bathroom exactly as the ghostly figure had walked. It was like a scene from Donny Darko.
You prob saw him out of body. It happens a lot when we sleep.
Residual energy left after a traumatic experience... I believe in stuck or lost souls but when you think of the universe as vibrations and frequencies this makes a lot of sense! .... Brilliant story

I lived in a haunted house in New Zealand in the 1970s.
The house had a very unpleasant cold atmosphere.
I did not see anything but had repeating very awful nightmares for 2 years.The dreams stopped when I left the house and the town.
So compelling
I don't really believe any of this stuff and have always tried not to believe something I experienced as a fifteen year old boy. I was walking alone along an unlit country road at about 2am on a reasonably bright summer night when I saw a man in a light grey suit walking towards me on the same side of the road, I thought nothing of it until, as he came closer I was inexplicably gripped with terror, it was like being enclosed in a bubble of heat and the hair on my neck literally stood up. I had the feeling that I could not look directly at him. I saw however that it was not a grey suit he was wearing, he was just completely light grey. He passed by me on the same side of the road and when I had walked on about ten steps I looked behind me and he was gone and the road was clear as far as the eye could see. I only recalled afterwards that he made no sound from footsteps etc. I don't want to believe that this was anything supernatural but I have never found an explanation.

Some kind of emotional imprint left on the very fabric of the building itself by the sounds of it. Again there's that but also the very nature of time and the universe itself...you get three strands of time, past, present and future and they're on a weaving loom...what if the threads cross and get tangled briefly or converge in one point in time and some people can see this?.
Fascinating stuff...there's so much we just don't know or is kept from us or simply isn't taught about the reality that we're experiencing...
I’d call that fragmentation I think, a part of her splintered off in extreme trauma & lived its parallel diminished life (unable to evolve or properly die). It’s more common than we think I’d hazard. Sad
