A violent mob on Wednesday night vandalised Kolkata's RG Medical College, where a 31-year-old woman doctor was raped and murdered a few days ago. The incident took place amid midnight protests by women. A group of people, disguised as protestors, entered the hospital premises, vandalised property, and pelted stones at policemen. On Thursday morning, the Kolkata Police announced that the crime scene was not affected by the violence.
The CBI team, which is probing the murder, is also expected to reach the hospital today. Meanwhile, the doctors and nurses have demanded higher security at the hospital in the wake of the violence

100% N it's not easy to afford medical education in our country. How much sacrifice comes from the parents to afford it? And we need to wait for another 30 yrs for a doctor to be born. Dead body after post mortem has to be handed to the investigating officer in a medico legal case after which the transfer of body to the near ones for their last rites happen.Its a normal process.

Its so funny, y know why? The doctor who was killed, she was threatened from 6 months. She even told her parents she doesn't want to go to college anymore. Still, when parents were interviewed by lallantop, not once did they say that their daughter was being harassed from 6 months.

@@DEIN-b8t according to a previous supreme court judgement, the victim's identity is not made public. for example in "Nirbhaya". Hence the name "Abhaya" came, to protect the brave doctor's identity. But in this case, the name of the victim already got leaked.

The CBI will quickly crack open this case. It has some strong leads at the moment, namely Sanjay Roy and the person who ordered the renovation. Applying pressure on these two can give the CBI all those involved in this crime. The CBI can then gather supporting evidence from cell towers, the movements of the alleged suspects, etc. etc. Within a week, the CBI should have sufficient solid evidence in order to prosecute. I suspect that one of the alleged suspects must have persuaded the student to enter the hospital and make a beeline for the emergency department and thrash it in order to destroy further evidence. Good going, CBI . If the others involved turns out to be doctors at the hospital, it is indeed a real tragedy for WB that this could happen.
The four or five interns should have their dna tested.the third year post graduate who has very high connections.the second year intern and the first year year intern.apparently a woman who was known to the late doctor it is said she encouraged this rape/murder also be probed very closely.this woman is also very well connected.why arent these persons closely investigated?
