This team dominated their division year after year in the 1970's. Great coach, great players and they played team football. Even though they lost those Super Bowls they had the respect of the league. That stadium in December and January had to be intimidating to their rivals. Grant would never permit a heated bench for his players. They were so tough. Real men. As an old Steelers fan I can honestly say these Vikings always had my respect.
Hank Stram had little to no success in New Orleans as the Saints HC. Despite this and being fired after just two seasons (1976-1977) he fell in love with New Orleans and moved there after his coaching years ended. He ultimately passed away in 2005 from complications related to diabetes
Probably the oldest team collectively to make a SB. So many veterans over 30. Chuck Foreman was such an amazing player from 1973-76. Sammy White had a great rookie year and would have a very solid decade long career with the Vikes. Wonder why Chuck Knox didn’t go for it on 4th and goal early in the 1st QTR. The blocked FG for a TD is one of the most dramatic hinge moments in NFL playoff history. The 76 title game will always be the Bobby Bryant game

You're right. Rightfully so, Vikings had little confident in kicker Fred Cox Also, and just as bad. Mclanahan fumbled towards the end of regulation allowing Rams to tie.

Vikes last trip to the Super Bowl, and they've made the playoffs more than 30 times in their history
The Great Joel McConnell was the announcer on Vikings radio
I agree McConnell was excellent
I like those Saints uniforms from back then.

The vikings first visit to Milwaukee since 1970
I was at that game. Packer fans wanted to beat me up after. I was 10.
Terrible interception by Tarkenton in overtime
