❣Jimin “Set Me Free Pt.2’, it’s everything & more then I could hope for, Jimin’s amazing artistry, his so beyond spectacular,, so mesmerizing, phenomenal performance! The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, which aside from the two main choreographers, he had a hand in, offering suggestions, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production, even the set design of the MV. Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this made me that much more excited, for the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” released last yr on March 24, along with his main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Jimin’s other songs “Face-Off”, “Alone”, as well as hidden track “Letter” are all equally amazing! Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs!
Jimin has been involved in every facet of creating this album! Hands on all the way, perfectionist that he is, including writing lyrics, composing, as well as being heavily involved in production! Jimin’s true, real, inner self will be finally seen in all its raw, authentic, amazing, heartfelt, passionate, emotional, sincere glory! This is aside from Jimin’s full range, hardly ever being shown, aside from high notes, but being finally able to show his full registry, mid range as well as lower registry as well! I’ve always been so frustrated not being able to see as well as hear Jimin’s full capacity of talent. So often not being fully taken advantage of, but that comes with being part of a group, that has every single member having so much talent that it’s been so limiting for Jimin, especially him being so selfless, making a point of having others shine before himself. Now the spotlight will be just on him! Though we’ve seen Jimin’s amazingly spectacular, so mesmerizingly outstanding solo performances before. But now, as Jimin himself, mentioned, he’ll indeed be showing the depth of his raw inner self! The album was written, expressing all emotions, thoughts & feelings he went through during the yrs of the pandemic, sharing these innermost feelings with the intent on having others relate during their dark times. Jimin has also said that with all the members now exploring & expressing their own individual talent , it will just make BTS that much stronger when they come back together as a group! In an interview Jimin explained: "I tried to express the grand scale of the song and [the ideas of] determination, passion, and overcoming. “Set me free” means setting myself free, so I thought it was important that I be the one to set myself free - not someone else. In the end, I’m the one who has to set myself free. I would say the song has the energy of a light in the darkness. I wanted to express that kind of picture everyone has in their head - a ray of light coming into the darkness is the only thing you can see. If I had to say specific colors, I’d say black and white.

❣Jimin mentioned himself, when talking specifically about the choreo, during his longer introduction to all his songs as well as album dances, photobook, etc. he mentioned while watching parts of Set Me Free Pt.2 that Sienna Lalou (who did the choreography for BTS “On Kinetic Manifesto MV, also “Dionysus”) was ‘involved’ in some of the choreography, though Jimin himself mentioned Sienna,, like the part where certain dancers were lifted up, was her brilliant idea! There was another main choreographer, as well as Jimin himself offering suggestions & ideas. Bangster (one of HYBE/BHM's performance director) listed the choreographers in his post. It seems he, Yoon Seong Eun and Kim Minsung (also all from HYBE, aside from Sienna who was also involved. Jimin himself mentioned certain parts Sienna choreographed. Sienna also did post praise & admiration for Jimin, where she mentioned being involved. So just like with Run BTS so many assume it was all her, which is not the case. Plus some apparently are under the misconception that it was her LA Lab troupe performing with Jimin, but Sienna only, was involved in working on the choreography.. Jimin had his own backup dancers that he worked with tirelessly for over a month day & nite at times. 👍🙏❤🔥🐥🔥😍✨💫

❣Aside from Jimin writing the lyrics, composing the melody, as well as being involved in producing the song, Jimin was also involved in the production of the MV. It was his idea to have the set designed like a circular prison. He was also hands on involved with the choreography. It was Jimin’s idea also to go shirtless in second half, with the writing on Jimin’s torso, all his idea, the German words of well known famous 19th century Austrian poet, Widening Circles, Written by Rainer Maria Rilke. He's so professional yet so fanny and hilarious with his team 🤣 thats why everyone work with him love him and feel so comfortable , he always give calming energy to everyone near him
Actually, his entire album Face was about his strugle during pandemic, feeling isolated, drinking a lot, having dark thoughts.
His new album coming July 19 is totally the opost, he talks about how he gets his inspiration.

All members have solo projects that's been released since 7/2022,starting with JHopes " Jack in the Box,"\...10/22, Jins " The Astronaut ", \12/22 RMs "Indigo",\3/23,Jimins "Face",\ 4/23 Sugas "DDAY ",\ 9/23, Vs "Layover" \and 11/23 Jungkooks "Golden" albums . This doesn't include having an 8 episode documentary on Disney and their Permission to Dance concert is there too. Plus two other documentaries one from JHope and one from Suga about their making of their albums. Their last concert,"Yet to Come", is on Prime video( not a fan of the editing from the original,but the music is always great!). And they have over 150 episodes of their own variety show,"Run BTS", all free,with eng subs on RUclips. Now,their discography? Over 300 songs...[ including 3 Japanese albums], plus free songs and covers on SoundCloud. This will keep you busy,no?🤗💜🫡 oh,and Jin gets out in less than a month( from military)
