I appreciate the latest update video BJD, it’s incredible to witness the Western Sydney Airport’s construction from the beginning and see its progress over time. I’m eagerly awaiting its completion. Additionally, it’s back! yes that crow has made another appearance. 🐦⬛ 😂
Hi. As always, excellent shooting quality. Great camera angles. I would be very happy to participate in the construction of the facility. And I would love to see this gorgeous mega-building.
It’s going to be good for western Sydney. Might be smallish to start with, but future population will ensure it grows. I think the proposed flight paths have just changed in the last week. Thanks BJD for the great video.
The best and clearest coverage yet. For us stay at home tourists ,your directions make it so clear. May be if you can next time take a clear shot of the proposed car park spaces. I feel there is an under estimate of how many spaces should be provided and on opening day if the trains are not operating then , How many thousands of people will flock to see ? Trivia I know .
hopefully a water feature. the sound of water is relaxing and calming exactly what is needed for airport travelers coming and going. it is a hallmark of the great airports around the world.
I predict, regarding the M12, this time next year we should be able to drive on it :) btw they should be begining to start laying down the tracks now so once the stations are built they can finish them there. haha that bird is back to attack your drone lol
Another great video.. as i drive past the m12, m7 interchange daily, I notice as it progresses that the height/ distance between the 2 flyover bridges looks minimal. Being a truck driver in Sydney, or anywhere for that matter, and constantly having to be aware of your height surroundings, and restrictions, does it look like the distance between these 2 pieces of road, barely looks big enough for a truck to pass between... i know looks can be deceiving from a distance, but with all the space in the world, why do they make these types of infrastructure so tight. Why not make it at least a 6 metre gap.. just my opinion. Thanks again for another video from a different view, rather than viewing on the road as we drive past.
I live in Parramatta and often travel to Epping and northwestern suburbs such as MQ uni, but the transport between them is poor. There is only super slow and winding 550 bus, or T1 train need change at Strathfield and wait for slow T9 . Both can take up to 1 hour! Frustrating! So I always think about an express transit between the two transport hubs so people can travel very easily between west and north. Therefore, I think gov should open a frequent BRT system between Parramatta and Epping with few stops, straightened route and much faster speed to cut travel time from an hour to less than 30 mins, so lot of people’s travel will be much more convenient. Brisbane metro style BRT system is a good example, or just as easy as BLine bus, from Parramatta. This construction is simple, cheap and fast, so this can be more feasible and considerable for the gov. I have made this compliment to bus company and Parramatta council but they didn’t give me a reply. Are you interested in making a video about this?
Mate, this is in Australia. Nothing like a good hike through carparks and plaza with luggage as a secondary Welcome to Country. And you will pay a pretty penny for the parking too.
As taxpayer I'm interested to see were my money is going but I live on the other side of Oz and no idea of proximity to CBD paramatta or local roads and rail you refer to. Give me a hint and use a map.
Sydney Airport has no room for expansion that is why this Airport is being built in a place where there is plenty of room for expansion as Sydney’s population grows so will its air traffic
They could make the planes smaller so you don't have to travel as far, but then airfares would sky rocket as you'd have 5 people on each flight. size might just be optimised to suit most economical aircraft size per proposed destination
I don’t know how you manage to always get that bird in the frame. Loving your videos!
lol cheers
She appears regularly. I've named her 'Nancy'.

Yes that crow definitely owns the area
I totally agree! 😂

Ok I did not know about the flight path changing thanks
Congratulations on 8k subscribers BJD, well earned.

I agree
The roof leaks?
Thank you for very interesting video. 👍👍👏👏👏

Thanks BJD, great video. They are certainly getting on with it and looking ready to go in 2026 😊
Cheers mate
Beautiful, look great, thank you
Cheers mate
Very nice work
Thank you! Cheers!
Great production again BJD. The air bridges don't look like they'd accommodate A380s.
Yes it will look a lot different when there are 14 or so big boppers docked
The airport wasnt designed for A380s. Emirates and Etihard havent planned to use WSA at all. Qantas has KingsfordSmith or its A380s
@@paulgerrard9227 the runway is designed for a380 - if in the future it is required they can be accommodated.
I just checked it can accommodate A380’s in which Singapore airlines may be using

Not quite there on the metro yet? I don’t think they have finished the viaduct around luddenham station yet.
@@williamwalker8106 I don't know why its taking them so long to finish the metro
Blue Mountains actually looking blue for a change and not a fetching shade of pollution...
6:58 Why does that pier only have one jet bridge whilst all the others have two each?
Interesting observation I also would like to know
Does the M12 connect with the Western bike path at St Mary's?

When you state 6,000 solar panels on the terminal, does that figure include all those an the various walkways too?
They said terminal roof so I’m guessing the walkways would be extra, looks like another 6000 on the walkway
@@BigJayDogAdventures Wait until they get a massive hail storm. Panels are tough, but not strong enough for fist sized hail.
no skybridges for a 380?
Yes
Not designed for A380's?

What’s the BRT?
@@BigJayDogAdventures It's Bus Rapid Transit, a high capacity express bus running on a dedicated bus lane or normal street.
@@BigJayDogAdventures It's just like Sydney's BLine bus running on bus lane.
Not very big, not much parking and need lots of green spaces just my opinion thanks Mark from QLD
Thanks Mark

Oh yeah!!🎉
poor design terminal it doesent have separate arrival and departure roads at the terminal looks like you will be dumped off in front of a giant plaza

For an International Airport it's pretty small
Yeah it is to be expanded and then duplicated as the patronage rises
how big does it need to be? and when does it need to be bigger? What's your evidence or rationale?
Sydney Airport has no room for expansion that is why this Airport is being built in a place where there is plenty of room for expansion as Sydney’s population grows so will its air traffic
The wsi should allow small planes to land there before it becomes fully operational.
poor design, still need to go great distances to certain gates
