Ahh mate, you've gone through exactly what i did. Last year I bought a crazy fight out to Thailand from the uk that invovled 3 stops, heathrow to santorini, santorini to abu dhabi, abu dhabi to new dehli then finally new dehli to bangkok. The santorini to abu dhabi flight was delayed which meant i missed the next flight to new dehli. I booked a flight for the next day to new Delhi, turned up at checking to be told that i needed a transit visa! I was only staying 2 hours, still needed a transit visa! So had to go to the indian embassy, then they told me i had to go to an agency. Went there and they said itll take 5 working days to process!!! So i was stuck in abu dhabi for a week! 😂
@richards1800 you live and learn. I've learnt to avoid india at all costs and in the future I only get either direct or a 1 stop flight out to Thailand. Stopping in Qatar half way is fine as it gives you a nice break as the 12 direct flight is pretty brutal. Doha Airport is really nice too and the transfer is very easy, no going through security. Also, if anyone is transferring via China as I did when I flew from the uk to cambodia, you have to fill in a crazy health certificate before you can catch your next flight. Its all in Chinese and you have to fill in information that doesn't make sense for transfers like where you're staying in China and a Chinese phone number. It's madness and takes up so much of your time, allow at least an extra hour so avoid transfers with a short transit time.
@@aTiminCambodia They do actually have that health check/QR code form in English also. For some reason though, no one seems willing to provide it for the poor non-Chinese speakers on the flight. Thankfully the need to do it has now been abolished. Not sure if you passed through Guangzhou, Shanghai, Xiamen etc, but the Xiamen transit is a clusterfuck of the highest order - really hopeless.
@cookietulis6252 went through Guangzhou in September. I was due to do the transit again on the way back to the uk but I ended up cancelling it because of the health questionaire crap.

Since there were some flood in that region a few months back. Some of the roads are open, am not sure about all the roads, this is just for your info. Au revior
Even the route to shimla from Chandigarh is full of landslides... In fact some smal stones fell on top of my car on the way to the airport. this is a message from my cousin brother who was in that region yesterday

Goa isn't so great these days. If you're looking in India, Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a better choice.
