- This is my first video on this channel but yea, this video tells you how to make a can opener in cell machine, it also tells you how they work and if you're new to breaking open vaults in cell machine this video should be useful to you

I've got one with rotators
Basically every vault that doesnt have immovables or trashes embedded inside them.

i put rotators on a rinse and repeat system, and sometimes count it out, and i always give myself lots of room of extra movable blocks incase i need to put movers there
also, if it the can opener and vault are huge, and you want to reduce lag use sliders and a mover to block the generators from lagging while duping into the trash blocks
yes, although i use generators slides and push cells so that the slide cells wont be disturbed by the rotator grid :)

I made a can opener for my own vault, but it didn't quite work.
However, it pushed one of the vault cells in to get an enemy.
Does that count as a crack or not?
Edit - I selected the part with the can opener and the vault and simulated just that and it actually cracked the vault, probably because there's no room for the mover to push the can opener.
Also one of the generators are out of place after the "crack", I think it's one of the turrets.

That was actually something i did i didnt know its already used ;-;
you shouldnt use ccw rotators for can-openers
why you ask?
ccw rotators update before cw rotators, and thus cw > ccw
(also btw ccw is the blue one and cw is the orange one)

Nvm, I figured out
don't worry about those
instead of letting the rotators rotate the slide cells and potentially triggering some mechanism you can add/remove a corresponding rotator
“and potentially triggering some mechanism” fill in the gaps with push cells

replace with push cells
what about trach cans in the vault? or rotators? or immovable blocks?
rotators will rotate back after 2 ticks, the other ones aren't allowed
so basically this just rotates any sliders to not stop them and then pushes the layers out?

You can actually do it cooler, do the same thing but only to the top of the enemy cells, then remove the immovable blocks above the monsters and put an octuple generator duplicator at the top of the map (on 50x50, 8 fold generator gives exact timing). Start the simulation and watch the green bar impale the monsters.

it does need messing with to work with other vault but if the vault has no trashes or immovables then it will work

@@Z3R0F1V3 to prove that it is possible, you need to crack your own vault - and a lot of vaults i've seen, the creator seems to say something along the lines of "i've tried to break it and i just can't, let's see if you can break it" - clearly if it contains no trash or immovable it is possible, but if it does contain those, it *may* be impossible, and you can most clearly see that when surrounding the vault in either

Replace rotators with moveable cells.
I can see how it looks like a can opener but the method feels more like making a key to the vault. If you change the key or the vault at all it probably won’t work anymore

I can make a super can opener, its way more optimized, fast ( it can break a vault in atleast 3-4 ticks) and lesser cells

Let's see if we can Make the VD-9001 (VAULT DESTROYER TYPE-9001) Like the Can Opener, but it Generates Deleter Cells (aka Trash Cells). Unlike the Can Opener, it only uses 1 Generator Cell and 1 Deleter Cell per Row.

think where is the wrong rotation ecc( = ) and put a rotator in there, if its a block to the right of the wrong ecc then put it a block distance to the left of it, and if its a block distance to the left of it then put it a block distance to the right and in both change the last one thats wrong to a push cell(moveable cell or 360° rotator lol)
you add a lot of details after most people are past that point, making them have to restart the entire video which is NOT very fun.
