LeeZM owed his wife trust in their relationship. So he had to pay her back trust in her strong desire in carrying the baby though life threatening.
He also took away the custody of Tong Tong once. If he again took away this 2nd child, it would be too heartbreaking for her.

That's what I noticed too, so it means the divorce agreement was just a piece of paper.
This clip was extracted from the final episode which was too rush. I think there should be some details cut off to the final version leaving certain question marks. The CEO's apology was incomplete; Wu Tong's forgiveness was too shallow; the CEO's tough decision to retain the 2nd child was not substantiated adequately. He was so fearful that continuing pregnancy would risk his wife's life. I saw a trailer that LeeZM was kneeling onto the ground outside the hospital and crying at heaven for mercy. It was not of his usual rational way of thinking to take such risk for the 2nd child.
At last he chose to trust in Wu Tong's belief that persistence would prevail. He didn't clarify what he owed his wife in this life. He paid her back by his approval to keep the 2nd child in her own hands. Eventually they passed through the hardships and risk and gave birth to a baby girl.
What was the problem with the pregnancy I never understood that?
