Recorded just over 40 years ago on VHS and still looking pretty good, not all videotape survives this well. I have some tapes that are not even 20 years old which are unwatchable. Little DV camcorder tapes are the worst, so if you have any get them onto Digital ASAP or lose them forever.
@@stevenwonder3171 I did not record the performance on that evening. This recording is taken from a "Best of the Year" compilation which was broadcast about December 82, just over 40 years ago 😳 Scary to realise it was so long ago.
Fantastic stuff if you ever find anymore carmel always love to see. Have always wanted to find carmel singing bad day live on BBC breakfast 83 with selina Scott also interviewing her but probably deep in the beebs vaults. Great page you have 😍👍
@@stevenwonder3171 I remember the BBC Breakfast performance, I saw it, but missed the start so never recorded it, I was fussy back in the day, if I missed an intro or the first few seconds of a song, then I saw no point in recording something 😔
Wow that’s Great! I still often listen to the falling, it’s the Goldilocks album of theirs for me in the transition between experimental/commercial & achieves a good balance. The title track is amazing.
Loved The Drum is Everything - still have my original vinyl copy and in pretty good nick too. As usual, you excel yourself STV., many thanks. Aah, the OGWT so, so many happy memories (except Whispering Bob dissing the fantastic New York Dolls) - Stand down Sir!!

Great find. I have “The Drum Is Everything” on vinyl & it was well-played. Don’t think I ever heard this.
Wow...that feel is fine fine fine. Thanks so much STV
From Manchester, singing about rain.

From Manchester in the early 80s I'm surprised Factory didn't sign them.

Adoro flores🙏
Love these old carmel clips they also did sugar daddy on the ogwt which is on RUclips. She's just released an album called wild country....
Good to know she is still singing
She has an amazing voice. But this song is waaaay too long.
